Honestly, it would be a yes for me. And this is not me acting so morally upright or whatever cause I couldn't care less about how other people feel about gambling for entertainment really.

It's not like I have a lot of money to burn either, the thing is that I just see gambling for what I think it is: Nothing but a way for you to have fun and enjoy yourself when other ways to pass the time isn't available at you fingertips. A lot of the hate that people harbor against gambling stems from the fact that they think casinos and gambling sites victimize them for profit, when they never really tell you you'd win shit, at least those that are reputable for that matter. Most casinos explicitly warn you about gambling even, just so people who see gambling as nothing but a way for them to earn extra money on weekends are deterred and informed of what gambling really is, and we still see people blaming gambling for their lives being ruined, their money being swiped, or their addictions becoming even worse. Gambling is just the means my friend, ruining your life is still very much up to you.

And that's pretty much all the qualms I have against people who gamble for profit really. The fact that they delude themselves into thinking the casino will give them a fair chance when house edge literally exists and then cry about it when they don't get what they want appalls me so much that I can sometimes see what my brain looks like from how far my eyes roll back.

Voted for No, and can see that’s also where majority voted for, we all love what the gambling system is given us both the money and the fun so if one of them is being removed we can’t still be viewing gambling with the same intention we use to view it before, profit and money making from it is one thing that made gambling as popular as it is today and the traffic they are getting is base on both the fun the players are getting from It and the potential money they think they can win from the casino if they use there skill very well.

It’s only few people which don’t even know how strong there will is that will still continue to gamble if there is no money to be won involved in it even if some people still continue gambling there activities will reduce and the amount they spend will also be cut of since there is nothing that will come out of it.

maybe most will just go here in occasional basis. only from time to time, when they want to have some fun. just like most theme parks. it is not that everyday people visit such place. but if that is the feature of gambling, i guess, there will be no gambling addicts. but why such thinking now? this part of life of humans have been long existing in human history, dating back to ancient times.
so this thought is all just in hypothetical basis and there's no chance of seeing it in reality.

The question is changing the real meaning of gambling. If there is no chance of making money, we cant call it as gambling anymore. Maybe it will be just like spending money for our hobbies only such as spending money to rent a futsal field or spending money to modify our car/bike. I think it will better if you change the question to "will you still play the gambling game while you have to risk money to play it"? If this is the question, my answer is obviously NO. Why I should risk money while there is no chance to make money, even if I can have some fun playing the game but in fact there are the same games that can be played for free if the main point is just for fun.

and such question won't happen in real life anyway. so for me, this question is acually not worth. but for discussions sake, why everyone can create any topic that they think of under the sun. if there's no money involved anymore on this, i don't think many people will be part of this. they will just go here from time to time, if there's nothing to do with their spare time.

Which in turn will reduce the profits of those casinos as many people will think like you, and in that case the will of the people will force them to go back to what they were, denying the scenario brought by the OP, we must remember that things are this way because of several reasons, if casinos could get away with this they would have done so long time ago, and the fact that not one of them dares to try this model is proof enough that it will never work.

Of course, if we understand the chances we have of winning, we can't always be careful and always gamble according to our abilities, but do many gamblers do that? does not seem.
For gamblers who are wise in gambling, I admit that they fully understand the risks and consequences of gambling, that why professional gamblers who have responsible attitude and are wise in making decisions can always bet relaxedly even if they lose.
No gambler will accept defeat, but as much as possible, with a good approach and understanding, gamblers can be calm even when they lose.
They will forget about the chance of winning which cannot be guaranteed and they will look for what they need, such as satisfaction in playing.
Not many people can understand how big a chance of winning we have, but they still risk their money to win. They are still tempted to continue gambling because they hope to take home some of their winnings. But they have to admit that it is not easy to do because it means they have to be prepared if they have to lose most, if not all, of their money. We, as gamblers, must be wise in managing our money for gambling. Otherwise, we will only lose money more often at the gambling table without getting the win we want. And because many gamblers have lost, we have to be more careful when gambling and always limit the use of money. And if the chance of winning is not big, it would be better if we didn't gamble too hard and just gambled in moderation. That's enough for us so we have to stop gambling immediately.

Hahaha, you are right, gambling is always related to risk, money, and being at stake, if all of that doesn't exist then it can't be said to be gambling.
But already I explained it and of course I said that we still do it even though we know the risks are dangerous because of the pleasure and happiness that can be obtained.

Every gambler has their own way of risking their money and every gambler has their own goals when entering gambling, it just that not everyone who gambles can understand and have the right approach to gambling.
Wouldn't you feel sympathy when you see many people betting carelessly using most of their money, I know they gamble on their own accord but betting carelessly is not the right attitude.
And of course they make gambling grow faster, but who benefits the most? The answer is that those who own this business, we are just customers who are just looking for entertainment and pleasure, not profit or looking for guaranteed opportunities to win.

~snip~
And because we don't know how big our chances of winning are, we shouldn't force ourselves to gamble more often to not lose more money in gambling. But it is the opportunity to win that continues to tempt gamblers to always return to gambling and gamble continuously so that they believe that one day they can win. And that's why many gamblers still use more of their money to gamble and many of them even then add more money to gamble even though that will not increase their chances of winning but only increase their chances of losing from gambling. By playing gambling, they must be able to accept their loss and must not feel frustrated or stressed, and they will feel that they can still win the gambling game. Gamblers who already get pleasure from gambling will always return to gambling, while those who know that the pleasure of gambling should not continue continuously to avoid the problem of gambling addiction. They will always try to limit their gambling activities rather than experiencing a gambling addiction.
Of course, if we understand the chances we have of winning, we can't always be careful and always gamble according to our abilities, but do many gamblers do that? does not seem.

There is no way to cast a vote in the poll OP but I will choose the first one in the list. If I can pay on a video game only to play for fun without a way of making real money, then why I can't do the same thing in gambling? But in a video game, you can still be able to play for free and the money that you deposit will only be used to buy your character a skin and other items which can enhance your gaming experience.

Maybe gambling will now work like that? If in case they will remove the earning feature. Or else people will just choose the free ones. There are lots of them that I can see in the Google Play Store, since I'm using an Android phone.

Let me take you, for instance Op, There's a place where I normally go to play the snooker game with some of my friends and with others within the environment, before you will join the game one of the rules is that you have to pay to partake in the game while in the end we make no money from it but rather we played for fun. Therefore, in as much as there will be fun in that game then I will continue to gamble with my money, but in a situation where there is no chance of making money and as well no fun in it then why would I spend my money?

This snooker game you spoke about cannot be categorized as gambling, you just pay some money to gain access to the game. This is just the same thing as buying a cinema ticket to watch a movie. Paying for entertainment is not gambling until you have the option of winning something in return.
Not actually the cinema kins of thing, here it depends on what you want to do with the snooker game, whether you will play for fun or bet money who wins goes home with the cash and here people bet huge amount of money that they will win their opponent player and some people who aren't good enough stake on the head of those they think will win.

However, I agree with yahoo62278 point that when money is no longer involved, it's not gambling, and this is the case.

If basketball didn't have a ball being shot into a basket, would it still be called basketball? If there's no money or risk involved, it's not really gambling IMO.

This is gambling in its essence it's about risking your hard-earned money and hoping for a return if a platform doesn't have this feature it's not gambling at all a platform taking away this feature I don't think gamblers will support and play on this kind of platform, gamblers' are all about making fun at the same time planning to profit from their betting and it reflects on the poll.
It is a double pleasure for a player if they can have fun and there are additional incentives and this is by having a chance to double or even triple your bets.

You are very right and I agree with you bud, gambling is mainly for fun and it's always a double fun when a gambler get to double it triple their initial bet amount in the course of having fun.

But then again, fact will still remain that, not every gambler will or understand gambling to be majorly all about having fun, for most gamblers that I know are way more interested in making money through gambling than doing it for fun.

Anyways, it's exactly as you have said it, not very many gamblers will want to keep spending money to play games when there is no chance of them winning or making any profit in return, this goes a long way to show that, fun in gambling is not complete without the chance to make money.

And indeed in gambling no one can have guaranteed chance of winning and of course everything is not certain or it could be said that in gambling this is full of the risk of losing, not the chance of winning.
We know that the opportunity to win cannot be had by anyone who hopes for it, but the opportunity to win can be had by those who are lucky.
But what happened? we still continue to gamble, depositing certain amount of money to lose and of course there is no guarantee that we will win, it just that we feel pleasure, we can be very happy in every game or bet we make.
From this it can be concluded that even though we are not chasing victory or have the opportunity to win, we will still continue to gamble as long as it can provide pleasure and satisfaction that cannot be provided from other activities.
What more, if we really gamble using money that we have prepared to lose, then whatever the outcome as long as the money we have prepared is still there, there will be no intention or desire to stop.
I have almost the exact same attitude and mindset as you regarding the gambling activities we do today.
And because we don't know how big our chances of winning are, we shouldn't force ourselves to gamble more often to not lose more money in gambling. But it is the opportunity to win that continues to tempt gamblers to always return to gambling and gamble continuously so that they believe that one day they can win. They will always try to limit their gambling activities rather than experiencing a gambling addiction.

I chose the first option in the vote.

From the start I had set aside money that I intended to play gambling. And the money is special and all my needs have been met. The point is, if the money runs out, I'm willing.

It cannot be denied that I play gambling and aim to win, but here there is fun where I have to struggle to find the right strategy so that what I do can make me win. When faced with this, it is very encouraging.

So, one question I want to ask is, if games were built to be played with money on casinos like we do now, with absolutely no chances of making money even when you win a game, would you still be spending money playing this games or betting on sports games?

I won’t gamble even if I’m doing it for fun. If it will not generate money, I will not do it, although I believe some people will say since it's for fun, why will I think of getting money back? But we all know if there is such a strategy for getting money, people will not even do it, even if they'll do it for the sake of having fun. Although I'm not gambling that much, anytime I do it for fun, but I'm still expecting money in return because I used my money to go stake, so the same thing as other people saying they gamble for fun even if they didn’t get their money back, they won’t boarder that one aside, man, if there’s no getting money in return, that's not gambling.

Although some individuals are there that will gamble if it will not generate money because many things have been done and they didn’t generate money, they still do it, so the same thing as gambling, they will still have some people that will gamble even if it will not generate money for them.

If a gambling game means risking money without getting money, then at least we get something valuable from a game that can entertain us apart from the UI/UX services of a game platform (for example game items, or anything that is considered valuable in the game). and if you don't get anything it's not gambling, just a normal game.

the same thing with other gambling, or other bets, such as football, for example, if there is nothing to bet on then there is nothing interesting in betting, just a small example, you bet with your friends in a football match, then you and your friends just support the team you like without any betting. it's also fun but doesn't get the more exciting excitement of the matches.

I don't think so, if gambling doesn't have the opportunity to make money then I will no longer gamble, because in my opinion even though there is pleasure in it like the sensation I will feel it will not have a useful impact, if it is to get pleasure then I would rather choosing other things like watching a movie,  or spending the money to buy what I want, because I think the odds in gambling are not promising but I'm sure every once in a while we will definitely win, even if it's not much hahaha. Cheesy

and if I still have enough money and a clear income then I will continue gambling with the aim of eliminating curiosity, but of course not forgetting to limit my gambling activities in terms of time and budget. Even though I have money ready to lose in gambling and still have spare money,  that doesn't mean I have to gamble continuously, because that's certainly not something that should be done.

There are people who spend money on activities that they know that they can't earn from so I still think that there will still be people that pay to play these games even though there are no chances of winning, but they will no longer be called gamblers. Gambling and playing on those games is a lot of fun for some people even though it is hard for some people to believe, just as people pay and use their data to play online games, people will pay to play the games from casinos. The profit for casinos will be affected, but they will still be in business.

Now, I have a simple question, first, let me say that I am an advocate of gambling for fun, and I personally believe that gambling for fun does not necessarily means you should completely ignore the aspect of money making through gambling, it just simply means that we should not prioritize making money off gambling over doing it for fun, and this is because, some gamblers out of prioritizing gambling for money over over gambling as a means of having fun, end up gambling irresponsibly which leads to alot of financial issues and even gambling disorders.
When gambling for fun, it's normal for you to be expecting money, and if you win, then you can use your win for anything you wish to use it for. Because you are gambling for fun doesn't mean you won't make use of the money you win. If you are gambling for fun, then you will have peace of mind because you won't be desperate to win. But when you are gambling for the sake of money, then you will end up doing everything you can do just because you want to win, and that's when the problem is always starting. If you are desperate to win, you will do some crazy things just because you want to win. I have seen some people that do take gambling as their full-time job, they depend on gambling for survival, which is not really making sense to me. What will happen if you don't win for a long period of time? How will you be able to feed and take care of yourself?

So, one question I want to ask is, if games were built to be played with money on casinos like we do now, with absolutely no chances of making money even when you win a game, would you still be spending money playing this games or betting on sports games?
To be honest with you, If i can't win from gambling but it will require me to always deposit, then I won't be gambling again. Even if I am having fun from gambling, I have other things in which I can involve myself, and I will also have the same fun from gambling, because it doesn't make any sense to me. How will you expect me to always deposit, but I will not win?

I believe we all, or most of us are back from the new year celebration already  Grin, my greetings to everyone of you and pray this year brings us the best of luck as gamblers.

Please let's discuss, and remember, keep it as constructive as possible and cast your vote on the pool as well.
That is a difficult question as I do not think we will ever reach that point, as that will require those casinos to outcompete the current casinos in which you still have some chances to win, and this will mean that an inferior product will have to beat a superior one, something that is not very common especially when the superior product already has all the market share, but supposing that it happened I think I would still gamble from time to time but I am sure I will reduce the rate at which I did so.

Its something similar to playing poker with zynga chips vs playing poker with real money. People still enjoy playing with zynga chips but if you really want to have fun, you'll have to switch to either tournaments, on cash games.
