I see that the majority of us are agreeing to the No Pull, but if you ask most people, they will always claim that they are out there to gamble just for fun, but we all within ourselves know that the money that is to be won from gambling is part of the things that are attracting us to the game.

There is fun in the game, and there is also fun in winning. If there is no chance for us to win in a game, then we will never have to place a bet in the first place, removing the possibility of winning in gambling.

A lot of us will prefer to play online video games of different categories than go to the casino to gamble, as it might appear as a total waste of time and money. The money that could be doubled or multiplied if we place a bet is part of the reason why we gamble with money in the first place.

if games were built to be played with money on casinos like we do now, with absolutely no chances of making money even when you win a game, would you still be spending money playing this games or betting on sports games?

Why on earth I will spend money to play casino games because I can do the same from mobile itself which is called games.

If you remove the money from gambling then it is supposed to come under the category of games and it doesn't make sense to spend money to play basic games. Even though money should not be the prime motive of someone to gamble still its the essence which brings the thrill feature for basic game just because of the money is at stake and the results are unpredictable.

Yes, I will continue gambling on slot games and betting on sports betting even though I don't have a big chance of winning like other people. I'm okay with losing some money to have fun at gambling without being able to win any money. Victory is just timing for me and will come when the time is right so I will not chase that victory. What will happen, let it happen because if I can control myself well in gambling games and avoid spending huge amounts of money, I can enjoy gambling for fun. And if I can't win after gambling this week, that's okay because my target in gambling is not to chase money. Money is just a bonus for me. Even if it is a big or small win, it is still a bonus. So I don't mind it at all and will continue gambling.
And indeed in gambling no one can have guaranteed chance of winning and of course everything is not certain or it could be said that in gambling this is full of the risk of losing, not the chance of winning.
We know that the opportunity to win cannot be had by anyone who hopes for it, but the opportunity to win can be had by those who are lucky.
But what happened? we still continue to gamble, depositing certain amount of money to lose and of course there is no guarantee that we will win, it just that we feel pleasure, we can be very happy in every game or bet we make.
From this it can be concluded that even though we are not chasing victory or have the opportunity to win, we will still continue to gamble as long as it can provide pleasure and satisfaction that cannot be provided from other activities.
What more, if we really gamble using money that we have prepared to lose, then whatever the outcome as long as the money we have prepared is still there, there will be no intention or desire to stop.
I have almost the exact same attitude and mindset as you regarding the gambling activities we do today.
If there's no risk involved
If there's no money involved
If there's no betting involved

THEN ITS NOT GAMBLING!

It isnt really that had to understand on which even just using up our own common sense then people wont really be interested something like this on which you are really that paying for the entertainment and leisure you do seek? As we do all know that there are other things on which you could really be able to enjoy yourself on which it isnt really that needing any money.
People wont really be that interested on something that they couldnt get in return. Although we do know literally about gambling on which you are staking
some funds to bet on but still there are people who do really love on that way. It do really adds up the spice and thrill on the time that you do make out bets.

This is why gambling industry is soo big because interest and demand is high because of those probabilities and opportunities
into those people who do really love on making bets and possibly be able to get huge amount of winning too.

If the money has no monetary value at all then I would love to gamble it. No one on their right mind would spend their money without getting anything in return unless that's for a charity and was wholeheartedly given. These days that should be a rare scenario and likely only the riches will have fond on doing that one.

I don't think that's going to be an option for someone, gambling when you know that you're not going to win with a concrete evidence is definitely a no for me, it's different to when you know that you have a chance, you want to risk it because you might win it unlike with the proposed scenario where you're not getting anything even if you play. I guess it's in our best interest if we're making sure that we're having a chance at getting our money back that a lot are going to not gamble when there's way they can win back.

What's the difference with playing without money? why I need to play without an opportunity to make money and gave away my money for nothing lol.

It's like, do you want to work for nine to five without get any benefit e.g. salary, free lunch, facilitation, room? Cheesy

If you can't get your money regardless you lose or win the game, I'd say it's a donation instead of gambling.

Of course I would, as long as it is for just the fun of it.
Let's gamble with me, whether you lose or win, you give your money to me.

Gambling is seen as a pleasurable activity known to stimulate the mental state. It could be a social sport for a group of friends who share same interest and as such without money it should be enjoyable.

These days however, it would be hard to gamble without money being involved. It is the involvement of money or the chances of making money that makes gambling popular round the world, also because of its ability to affect the economy of nations.

I cannot answer the poll because there is no reason to answer. Gambling from the root word gamble implies a prize if the player is lucky. Without the prizes, it is not gambling but only a game.

Without the prizes, are there individuals ready to pay for them to play casino games? Perhaps there are few individuals, yet it will not be that attractive any longer because there are numerous games with similarities on the web and offline that allow us to play for free.

During the time I was studying for my degree, I had numerous casino games on my old laptop, and I played them for free.

Maybe we should take a journey a little bit back to understand more better on the reason why gambling was created and how it has always been, people discovered that leaving together in a society can be as having fun together thereby making friends and through that, gambling was introduced and people take pleasure in it for having fun and making friends, it was later that some have seen it as an avenue of making money in doing so, since money is being involved in gambling, you can also bet and win money back, even though that was very far from the purpose of gambling, but we make money, there are some gamblers who don't mind about how much they have spent on gambling as long as they keep having fun through it.

I can’t say about others but I wouldn’t gamble if there wasn’t some sort of reward to be won later on. I thought that was what gambling is all about. The possibility to win some sort of prize is what pushes a lot of people to actually gamble.
I think I might actually pay a small token if I’m so in love with a particular game but I wouldn’t be playing as frequently as when it was free, that’s for sure. As for sports betting like football games, I’m not sure I’ll be betting any amount if there wasn’t a slight chance of winning a reward later on.

Certainly not. What would be the point of playing? That wouldn't be called gambling in the first place. The reason gambling is fascinating is because we're unaware of the outcome; the anticipation is what gets us going, boosting our adrenaline levels. If we know from the beginning that we can't make any money from it, then there will be no emotional release; all the emotions that are going through our body are what's making gambling exciting.

I would consider playing if there was the option not to use actual money but virtual money, like it's a game. Providing that, in the completely hypothetical scenario, there were no other alternatives available. However, you're mentioning that casinos would still function like they're supposed to, requiring money to play but without any chances of winning, which would be absurd if someone was willing to waste his time and funds with zero purpose and outcome.

Please let's discuss, and remember, keep it as constructive as possible and cast your vote on the pool as well.

I will definitely avoid gambling and forget it as soon as they remove the element of "winning money" in this aspect.

Remember that what satisfies the urge of players to gamble is the adrenaline of the unknown- which means that you will never accurately predict whether you will win or lose at the same time. Without any monetary aspect in gambling, this removes that satisfaction, thereby making it a chore rather than as a form of entertainment.

Like what most have mentioned also, there are other ways to have fun in which it may give the satisfaction that gambling may have. But removing the sole aspect that what makes gambling "fun" is definitely a dealbreaker that I will compel me to forget it completely.

I think there is no problem with that and I will play the game as an example, just like when I play poker on my cellphone like texas holdem zynga poker which I usually play for fun even though I have to spend money buying poker chips and also don't get any money at all. from gambling on that poker application, so in my opinion there is no problem with me gambling without any chance of making any money, everything can still be played for fun.

After all, isn't the gambling game just for entertainment and maybe it started as a game that didn't make money, but after going through several developments, the gambling game requires another adrenaline rush by placing bets such as money or assets, so that's what might make it very popular nowadays. This is because people chase too much money from gambling itself, not to have fun like you or me do  Grin

No way I'd be spending money in gambling that will not give me anything back.
Do you mean like gacha games thing? Well, I'd rather spend it there because somehow I can enjoy their games and there's a big difference in how they are created. I mean, imagine playing dice, a super boring game and there are no returns that will happen. That's like the stupidest thing I would ever do. At least in gacha games you will see the progress of your avatar/character. You will know if you are stronger than other players especially if you can kill them. In casino games that is like playing a boring game while paying and we won't even feel the excitement that it brings because we are not expecting something.
I am also gambling for fun but it doesn't mean I don't like money. There's no one in this world who doesn't want money. It's the second purpose of why I gamble after having fun or just avoiding boredom.

Life, Love and Laughter...
Gambling of any form without any chance and expectation to win money would be dumb.  Lmao.  Imagine yourself who keeps gambling and knowing that you won't have any chance of winning.  Where's the 'enrertainment' in that?  It essentially removes the entertainment aspect if you already know the result which is losing.  :/

And who in their right mind would still call it gambling?  It's more like throwing your money away.  Cheesy  People would eventually stop because it's not fun.

There has been a lot of talk about the reality of gamblers “gambling for fun”. I think most people are in denial about the subject. I don’t think anyone would be interested in gambling if there wasn’t nothing at stake. The thrill of winning is what excites gamblers and makes the gambling casinos one of the biggest markets in the world. I doubt people would be interested if there was no reward in gambling. Little wonder why many people do not like to play demo game.

I reason with your submission because the money that we bet is the thrill of the gambling, without staking money when we gamble, the excitement will not be complete. You raised a valid point also, when you reasoned that if gambling is just for fun without the prospects of winning, then we'll be happy playing demo games with no monetary attachments. It's human nature to want to conquer and win, even when we have so much, we'll still want to keep aquiring and winning, that's the underlying fun why most gamblers always comes back to gamble more. I even started a similar topic in this gambling discussion board, because I think that we might gamble for fun, but the underlying thrill is that we want to win money and more.https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/gambling-for-fun-is-it-a-lie-that-we-tell-ourselves-5479442

This shouldn't be called gamble when money is not as stake, but it should be called a game. I wouldn't gamble when money is not involved but I will have other means of fun to keep me entertained. However, watching or playing the game is fun, but winning something is what drags you to continue playing and it becomes part of you.

Gambling is in human nature maybe, i would have been gambling secretly with my friends just like we do back then in college. The only thing is that there will be no casino to give us varieties of games, but we will still gamble locally in one way or the other, either within friends, family or neighbors.

I don't think such games exist and even if it does, they cannot be classified as gambling. I usually see such games during religious occasions that are channelled towards fundraising. You just stake money on some games because you want to contribute to the Church and not to make more money. No matter how much you own nobody wants to waste money. Even a billionaire wouldn't want to lose a dollar. There are many free games online that you can play without money, I prefer to play such games to stake money without expecting anything in return.

Let me take you, for instance Op, There's a place where I normally go to play the snooker game with some of my friends and with others within the environment, before you will join the game one of the rules is that you have to pay to partake in the game while in the end we make no money from it but rather we played for fun. Therefore, in as much as there will be fun in that game then I will continue to gamble with my money, but in a situation where there is no chance of making money and as well no fun in it then why would I spend my money?

This snooker game you spoke about cannot be categorized as gambling, you just pay some money to gain access to the game. This is just the same thing as buying a cinema ticket to watch a movie. Paying for entertainment is not gambling until you have the option of winning something in return.

Yes, I would continue to gamble since it provides a valuable learning experience. I learn something new about myself, the odds, and the game with each bet I make. The journey involves self-awareness, risk knowledge, and strategy. I learn to control emotions, make snap decisions, and understand chance and skill. This gambling table expertise is useful in many areas of life

The studying isn't my only draw to gambling. It's also about the excitement and relationships it creates. In common, gamblers have a mutual understanding and respect, which is a kind of brotherhood. Will this hold my interest forever? Probably not. Time passes; excitement may fade, causing boredom. However, gambling is still an interesting and rewarding pastime for the time being. Not only is profit important, but so is the adventure, community, and lessons learnt
