No way I will play, this is a casino, not a gaming platform where you play for fun and there is a specific amount to spend, on casinos they challenge you to spend money in the hope of doubling it and they are not limiting your bet they want you to increase your bankroll, you are risking your money with casinos in the hope of profit.
Let's admit it although the casinos promote themselves as entertainment portal and even if we make us to believe that we are playing for fun, there's always the hope of winning money, so I prefer to play on casinos with the two elements present have fun and at the same time a chance to make money.

There are people who have made enough money and don't have the time to live a fun life due to work commitments and others. People like this are ready to spend money on games even if they are not making money from it, but they are playing the game to have fun and are ready to spend a huge sum of money to catch the fun whenever they get the opportunity.

I think that things when it comes to the game , many of us have Points of life that can Start any Type of debate, on some occasions depending on the responses and the way of Thinking of some, it can give us a basis for knowing that the person is missing something and that he is going through a Difficult time or perhaps he is about to do something Inappropriate such as spending more money than normal , or sometimes it may seem that the person may be in the sign of being in a possible addiction or that he is simply already in an addiction , it all depends on how you look at things , in my case in particular I could say Something , if the game Represents fun and entertainment at the same time a very different kind of enjoyment, because how important a healthy and adult enjoyment is, because there are people who They like to play, and Yes , even so without the chance of Making money they do it, because they maintain hope, they do not play to leave their money there on Purpose, we all know that in some cases we have a chance of Winning , even if they are minimal but there are still some, otherwise It was not a business, but a source of Donations.

Now considering the casino as a larger Entity , we can see the chaos of lotteries, because lotteries without a Doubt have very small possibilities to Win , and yet there are people who Every day, all the players, faithfully play their games with the probablides of deg arn and of Making some difference if they were to win the jackpot because things can simply be seen differently, because their perseverance led them to win and that is not Bad at all , it is something that is seen with great victory and that if it is possible to do things well , of course things can be seen from that side, now if they do not win and win then the person will Continue to cry Anyway , everything is a question of faith for me , if a Person does not finish the He hopes he will continue playing, or he will continue buying lotteries, or he will continue betting on a sports bet, but he will Remain firm.

Yes, I will continue gambling on slot games and betting on sports betting even though I don't have a big chance of winning like other people. I'm okay with losing some money to have fun at gambling without being able to win any money. Victory is just timing for me and will come when the time is right so I will not chase that victory. What will happen, let it happen because if I can control myself well in gambling games and avoid spending huge amounts of money, I can enjoy gambling for fun. And if I can't win after gambling this week, that's okay because my target in gambling is not to chase money. Money is just a bonus for me. Even if it is a big or small win, it is still a bonus. So I don't mind it at all and will continue gambling.

If basketball didn't have a ball being shot into a basket, would it still be called basketball? If there's no money or risk involved, it's not really gambling IMO.
Yeah, I took note of this though I didn't mention it on the thread,  Cheesy, if you read the question part of the op, that is the last paragraph, you did realize I used the word "play" or "playing" instead of "gamble" or "gambling", I did this because while I was typing the op, I realized that, gambling without a chances making profit or money, is not really gambling, but playing, like we say that we want to play video games and so.

So, you are right, without the chances or ability of making money off gambling, then it is just we playing a game and not gambling.
When I was a younger man, me and my friends would be out playing basketball for hours every night. Usually 2-3 hours a night 3-5 days a week. We would also play video games for a couple hours a night as well.

I think when we are young and not too concerned about bills or money, we "play" for the fun of it without any issue. Once we are of the age where utilities or rent or cell bill or whatever is close to needing paid, we are more inclined to not "play" games, but to gamble to make a few bucks.

It's all about circumstances I suppose.

I see @OP is one of person who actually don't understand the fun in gambling.

A grown man will not feel fun when you're just playing a game without risking anything, it feels like how I need to wasting my time just for playing? but if you playing a game and risking some money, you will feel excited and want to beat your opponent in order to earn the money, at the same time you don't want to lose your money without any point.

The great city of God 🔥

So, one question I want to ask is, if games were built to be played with money on casinos like we do now, with absolutely no chances of making money even when you win a game, would you still be spending money playing this games or betting on sports games?
I don't really think so. The primary motive of gambling is making real money not for some sort of online fun. Though there are online fun games that you will play and win cash but those are just demo acc or games for beginners. So there is no need of such because time is money and as days pases so do we have the mindset of making real money and meeting up to our daily needs rather waisting time in what will not favour us. In another way round, It will be annoying when you win thousands of dollars in a demo casino account which you can't make use of. You will think that you should have tried this in real bet than this online game. And that will drastically change your mind from playing such games.

If there's one casino that will promote itself as a platform where you will have fun playing but have no chance of winning, I don't think it will be supported and only a few players will play on this kind of casino, casinos are being promoted as an entertainment platform with a chance to make money these two elements are what makes people play on casinos and there are players who seek to make money from gambling and there are so many of these gamblers, so the casino will lose these clients, although they can still make money but not as huge as when you promote the platform for fun and making money.

So far the poll reflects this

Oh yes, I will be happy spending my money, gambling for nothing but fun.   - 3 (20%)
Hell no, why would I waste my money doing something that has no chance of bringing me money back in return?   - 12 (80%)

I will not be a hypocrite. No, even if it brings me entertainment or fun, I will not spend money on a website where I need to spend money just to play gambling. If I want to play gambling games wherein I will not have to spend even a penny, then there are websites that offer them purely for playing gambling games with no money related to or involved, because why not? If you will play on a gambling site where you need to play gambling games and you know you don't have chances of winning, then why would I not play on a website where I can play gambling games and play with other players for free? The purpose is for fun and entertainment only, right?

So it's a big no. I'm not being greedy; I'm just stating the fact that I'm not in a state where I can spend or waste money just to play something. Of course,  I would want to play gambling games with my money and a chance of winning some, but I'm not the one who will hope to win and will be disappointed if not.

Could be different for anyone, I mean others might be gambling for fun really. But most of us gamble looking for a good returns at least win some money so that we can continue to play. And with that, I have nothing against those who enjoy and maybe they have extra money to burn and be entertained.

But majority of us in sports betting or even luck based games are looking for that one big win and expecting that we will have a good chance despite the odds are against us, to hit and win money.

My sincere answer would be NO! If we should imagine such scenario where we play games on casinos for absolute entertainment purposes with no chance of winning money in return, then, there should be another name for it because it's not longer gambling. The money wagered and the outcome of that your money is what makes it to be gambling. When we say gambling for fun, we are not overlooking the money making aspect just as you pointed out in your post but it's a way to balance our hopes and not feel disappointed when we get negative outcomes.

The thrill of winning money without no doubt is a big part of the appeal of gambling and I'm very sure that majority including myself would lose interest if there's no chance of financial gain in gambling. Of course, there are things we pay for just to have fun and we are doing it but in the case of gambling, unless they find another suitable name for it and redesign the system else many will lose interest because winning money is part of the system and it is the force that triggers us to gamble and we derive fun while doing it.

Speaking frankly, I do gamble for fun but somewhere behind the fun is hidden, the zeal to win is breathing heavily. If the winning is the engine room that fuels the gambling lifestyle and fun is what keeps the pain of losses away then a combination is healthy but if one of the duo seizes to exist then there is no need to indulge in whatever way.

I can not and will not gamble when winning is not in sight, whether it is tagged a fun gambling or not, there is no bigger picture to look at and that makes it no worthy of my involvment.

interesting question but I also have a question again that if indeed gambling no longer has a chance of returning our money from winnings maybe it is not called gambling but just a video game and will never ask customers to deposit a certain amount of money but only provide free coins for gambling. does what I think make sense?  Roll Eyes

It's no wonder that in the end more people will choose to stop gambling if the opportunity to return money is no longer valid in gambling and that makes perfect sense because why should we waste money without any certainty and if they are just having fun they will definitely choose other alternatives such as playing video games.
and for me personally, even though I gamble just for fun, I still hope to win because after all, if I bet with money and the chance of winning is low, I definitely won't be able to have the budget to gamble again, whereas every time I win, I will definitely use it again to gamble the next day. will come but even if for example it does happen maybe I will still come and bet but not more than $1.

I believe we all, or most of us are back from the new year celebration already  Grin, my greetings to everyone of you and pray this year brings us the best of luck as gamblers.

Now, I have a simple question, first, let me say that I am an advocate of gambling for fun, and I personally believe that gambling for fun does not necessarily means you should completely ignore the aspect of money making through gambling, it just simply means that we should not prioritize making money off gambling over doing it for fun, and this is because, some gamblers out of prioritizing gambling for money over over gambling as a means of having fun, end up gambling irresponsibly which leads to alot of financial issues and even gambling disorders.

So, one question I want to ask is, if games were built to be played with money on casinos like we do now, with absolutely no chances of making money even when you win a game, would you still be spending money playing this games or betting on sports games?

Please let's discuss, and remember, keep it as constructive as possible and cast your vote on the pool as well.

Gambling refers to the activity where you risk something in anticipation of winning a larger value. It doesn't have to be money and gambling has been here way before there were any concept of money. It involved physical possession or service.
And something you spend money on for fun and don't have any return regardless are games.
It can't be called gambling when there's no gamble. It's like getting drunk on expensive water cause you can't handle alcohol.

Actually, gambling is for fun.
Because a wealthy person has a company with a lot of money and his income from his company's business is a lot and sufficient. but in fact people still gamble.
so gambling there is pleasure and makes people addicted. whether you lose or win, you still continue to gamble. whether you are rich or poor, you still gamble. the same as people with mild addictions, for example cigarettes, they still continue to smoke.

Can we still call it gambling if we are playing for candies? I don't think so. Gambling is making a bet in exchange for money or whatever that is redeemable for money. If are going into casinos and play games with the possibility of winning stuffed toys or apparels or gadgets, we are not gambling. And that might not be considered a casino anymore. You can call it a festival or a carnival but not a casino. For a game to be considered gambling, it has to involve money in one way or another.

I'm also one of those gamblers who play for fun, and if i'm going to play a game without expecting any money in return, there has to be an alternative form of value for me to keep going. If there's none, I might as well play through the casino's fun mode or with play money since it's the same thing.

I voted for no because it's clear that the chances of winning are close to nonexistent. I'd better pass up and take my money somewhere else because gambling isn't the only activity that can get me entertained.

Definitely no as the interest was already not there. Besides, if such games do exist, I won't touch it in the first place. It's different from other games, specifically the usual online games (MMORPG, MOBA, etc), which do even not yield money and are just literally a game, they can attract players to that game because of the genre and theme and these players are even willing to spend money on game stuffs.

Unfortunately, we can't apply the same thing in casino games.

Of course not, if I need to spend money on a gambling game I'm playing and the game doesn't provide prizes then I won't play it. However, if I don't have to pay then I will still gamble even though there is no prize money in gambling. I sometimes play demo mode slots just for entertainment and pass the time, sometimes I also play house edge games with free coins provided by the casino.

However, if there is no money prize in gambling, then maybe my intensity in playing it will decrease because whether I admit it or not, what makes gambling more interesting and challenging is because there is money in it.
