Let love lead
we drive to the park and have fun there without gaining funds back, we even go for vacations and spend our money in exchange for relaxation, we play games online and even pay to purchase the games and even to increase the features of these games, without being promised a dime in return, we even go for horse riding, rent the horses and ride them without getting a dime in reward. we do it happily.

With all these sighted examples, we can see that other fun filled activities are done without the promise of any dime in return and they are done happily without regrets, if you really mean for gambling to be a source of fun for you, it can give you the same satisfaction the other fun-based games gives us and for me, no mater the outcome from the casinos, I'm only interested in one thing when I gamble, I clear my head from the accumulated stress from work, as far as I'm getting the relief that I need, I'm very much fine and would definitely gamble again as far as my aim is always achieved there.

If basketball didn't have a ball being shot into a basket, would it still be called basketball? If there's no money or risk involved, it's not really gambling IMO.

So, one question I want to ask is, if games were built to be played with money on casinos like we do now, with absolutely no chances of making money even when you win a game, would you still be spending money playing this games or betting on sports games?
I don’t really get you when you say, “without any chance of making money”

Are you implying, no chance of making money from the games you gamble upon but still, you have to stake with your money?
If that be the case then no! I mean, why do I have to lose money just to play and have no means of getting some reward when my prediction comes true. There isn’t much excitement in that. The excitement is the money, the reward, the bonus and so, we need that for it to be gambling.

Again, if not making money implies you not having a source of income,,,
I think most persons in my locality gamble without a source of income. Gambling gives hope to a common man, even though it continues to drain the good life out of gamblers at times. It always comes with promises and encourages you to be hopeful.
Many does win in the end but, a lot of others always end up broke. That’s why, you need to be responsible in gambling.

I believe the primary enjoyment in gambling comes from the thrill of winning money. Without the chance of a reward, it doesn't make sense to put money into something with the risk of losing. When we talk about gambling being for fun, it doesn't mean we don't care about the money we might win, but rather, we try to see it as a form of entertainment rather than a way to earn a living. Unfortunately, many gamblers don't see it that way, and that's where they get the wrong idea about gambling. Our interest in gambling wouldn't be as high if there weren't the possibility of making money. Without the chance to win, many people wouldn't be investing their money and time in gambling. They might still make predictions for fun, but without the potential for a reward, it wouldn't be as appealing to anyone.

I voted no. While I don’t gamble for the financial aspect of it, most of my gambling is done via sports betting. The entertainment lies in having money on the line when you watch the game. Without money on the line you would need some other motivating factor. Perhaps a leaderboard of correct predictions or something like that.

Personally, my interest in gambling would diminish if the chances of making money were gone, even if I claim to still gamble for fun. It's different when you expect to earn a profit when you win, right? For me, the excitement and thrill of the game would disappear without the potential financial gain; it's no longer enough to draw me in. The money involved still has a significant appeal, which is why we are eager to try our luck in gambling. Perhaps I'll just look for other activities that offer similar excitement but with tangible benefits. They say the primary purpose and main goal should be entertainment, but if the bonus of financial gain is lost, it's no longer considered gambling.

No, I mean, staking money and winning money or something is one of the big parts of what makes gambling fun(and dangerous), if you remove that part of gambling you remove the majority of what makes gambling fun.

if someone says he doesn't gamble for money but purely for entertainment, rest assured he's lying, or he's afraid to use his money and only plays on a demo account lol.
believe it or not, some people gamble purely for entertainment. this doesn't mean that they don't care about winning and making money from gambling, it just means they don't expect to make money from it every time they gamble and they understand that losing is part of gambling.

No.
The chances of making money from playing games is the motivation behind gambling for us. The reward for spending my hard earned money that I can afford to lose on gambling is to make more money from gambling and sports betting. If there is an alternative reward for gambling and sports betting other than the promise of monetary gains,  I'll still gamble. If there is none at all, we'd participate in other activities.

Everyone's views on this topic will always vary and in my opinion the available pool will not be very useful.  anyway, in my view, the money we risk when gambling, whether playing slots or betting on sports, is to make the gambling activity we do more interesting, for me personally gambling is both (the fastest way to make money and a good way for entertainment), if someone says he doesn't gamble for money but purely for entertainment, rest assured he's lying, or he's afraid to use his money and only plays on a demo account lol.

If you can not win back some money, then it is not gambling but just for fun and very few people will play it. Those who will play such are those who are really playing for the fun of it but it is called betting because you are staking to win something and not just the fun. Many gamblers bet to win and not for fun. Therefore, if there is a game that I have to pay to play without means that I should get rewarded if I win the game then I won't be playing.

I believe we all, or most of us are back from the new year celebration already  Grin, my greetings to everyone of you and pray this year brings us the best of luck as gamblers.

Now, I have a simple question, first, let me say that I am an advocate of gambling for fun, and I personally believe that gambling for fun does not necessarily means you should completely ignore the aspect of money making through gambling, it just simply means that we should not prioritize making money off gambling over doing it for fun, and this is because, some gamblers out of prioritizing gambling for money over over gambling as a means of having fun, end up gambling irresponsibly which leads to alot of financial issues and even gambling disorders.

So, one question I want to ask is, if games were built to be played with money on casinos like we do now, with absolutely no chances of making money even when you win a game, would you still be spending money playing this games or betting on sports games?

Did chose on the pole and definitely other members too.
Hell no, why would I waste my money doing something that has no chance of bringing me money back in return?

Those are the primary words that i do have in mind is on why would the hell i would be spending money on betting on sports games if i do know that you cant get something back from it?
Also, it wont really be called betting or gambling in the first place because you arent really that betting literally or simply its not a gamble after all. You are just basically paying
up for the thing that you are watching which i dont see for people to get interested to it.

Its true that there are other things on which we can enjoy without really needing to pay up something on which it would really be just that right
that people would really be sticking into that rather than on spending something which they could eventually get it for free.

It is a waste of money if you're aware that you have no chance of winning. I know that it is gambling but even in the toughest games, you can still have that little chance of winning.

Are there games that are like this? It is just a situational matter but I don't think that many are going to spend money when we're totally aware that you have zero chance of winning.

Maybe for the experience, there will be who wants to try it out and are good losing a bit of their hard earned money.

My answer is No, I will not spend money just to gamble with no expected money in return. Even though sometimes I always lose in gambling, at least there I somehow know that there is a chance to win, unlike your question that we pay an entry fee to play but the hope of winning is immediately dashed because there's really no chance. Let's be honest, all gamblers who play in casino houses carry with them the hope that they will win no matter how much they spend, especially now that our world revolves in money. so it is very impossible if there are people who enjoy gambling if there is no chance to win. It's like you're just wasting money and time for nothing.

Thank you OP for making this statement and question for me this is quite interesting, Grin  and I  think that if indeed casinos do not make money as the main object in winning then I will answer it simply that there will be few people interested in gambling, because lately gambling especially online-based such as slot machines is very common, almost most adults know this type of gambling and are involved in it so the level of addiction is increasing every year.

One thing I know and this seems to be a true fact is that it is not uncommon for me to find that lately many people come with the intention of earning by ignoring the possible risks involved in gambling. The logic is that the winnings in gambling are money (in random amounts) and while on the other hand doesn't everyone want money? Of course, and I think this could also be one of the big reasons why more and more people are coming to get involved. So in essence with the question you asked I think if it wasn't money as the main form of winnings or for example just regular winnings without getting anything then I don't think anyone would go to the extent of going overboard and maybe they would just come for the fun of it, gamblers wouldn't be as likely to get involved if there was no chance of doubling up.

I still cannot understand.

Most gambling always wins you some money, no matter how small is the money it still is. I think everyone have some logic, If you not win something for what purpose we are doing a gamble ? Most of answer for your question is gonna to be a same.

The answer is no, we are not doing any gamble if we don't win something.

Let me take you, for instance Op, There's a place where I normally go to play the snooker game with some of my friends and with others within the environment, before you will join the game one of the rules is that you have to pay to partake in the game while in the end we make no money from it but rather we played for fun. Therefore, in as much as there will be fun in that game then I will continue to gamble with my money, but in a situation where there is no chance of making money and as well no fun in it then why would I spend my money?

Depending on the games,  if it is house games that I drive real entertainment from as I am involved in the games then I will likely continue to gamble even when I record losses since I drive fun from them but although I still have more motivations if I win more than I lose.

But when it comes to games like football,  if I lose consistently I can decide to stop betting for a while since I will still enjoy watching the match regardless if whether I bet on them or not,  the thing is that,  there is a tin line between enjoying the games and losing or taking risk by betting on them.

Nah, I don't think so. Because if I wanted to do something that's solely for fun, I'd have decided to either watch the game or probably invest my time in reading a book of finding more money, because if you look at it, I'm spending cash to stake those games and since I know I won't be able to get something tangible in return, why waste the funds?
Some will argue that they indulge in gambling just for fun or to wile away the time and if you check, these are individuals who have set aside a specific amount to play and won't beat themselves up if they don't win, but still we all have it at the back of our minds to win.

I can't stand it if there is absolutely no chance of getting the money from the winnings I want even though my gambling goal is to have fun.
This is the honest answer behind the gambling that I play.

If in the 10 games I play, I hope there will be at least a win, not all of them will be in a losing situation, aka not making any money at all.
If the situation at the casino I play at holds true, I will switch to playing sports games.
Sports betting is my favorite bet. Other games are just to test luck.

There has been a lot of talk about the reality of gamblers “gambling for fun”. I think most people are in denial about the subject. I don’t think anyone would be interested in gambling if there wasn’t nothing at stake. The thrill of winning is what excites gamblers and makes the gambling casinos one of the biggest markets in the world. I doubt people would be interested if there was no reward in gambling. Little wonder why many people do not like to play demo game.
