While gambling some people gamble with small amounts which is not very important for them, but for those who are new to gambling and not able to control themselves or play with something reasonable amount.
So I have a tip for them you can stick a real paper money note in front of your monitor which will remind you that money is hard to earn and play responsibly or don't play with big amounts.
the note will remind every time that how you earned that money, and if you are controlled and this tip is not very important for you them you can ignore it, but i found this helpful.
Maybe that will work in a short time but of course, why not try it as it really has an impact on our mindset, especially those who are not rich.
We should also note that being a responsible gambler is not just how we know how to control our money but it is also how we know how to control our entire gambling habits.
 - we must know when to stop
 - we must know how to control our emotions

Well, we can say that it was easy to become a responsible gambler but based on my experience, it was challenging especially if we are new in gambling as certainly was hard to control our emotions.

Nice advise mate, reminding us of how we need to control our gambling activities will help us understand the hardship of gathering money just to lose in gambling.

also added to that is let our family members remind us when we are into gambling about the limit amount.

and also lets not believe that we can beat the table meaning we can accept that fact of always losing and just a luck that we can win.

I’d rather deposit what I can afford to lose rather than do this odd ritual just to remember the value of money since I always value my money and I should not put it on gambling if I’m afraid to lose it. That’s the easiest way to deal with gambling and become responsible most of the time.
Everyone definitely has their own way of stoped their gambling activities and carrying out gambling activities responsibly, I thinks what OP did is quite reasonable and maybe if this method can make OP more controll I appreciate the tips, it's not easy to stoped a gambling addict when they are chasing their losses, and there is no harm in using the method used by the OP,  Maybe remembering this can slightly influence how difficult it is to maked money and it will maked someone realize thats gambling only uses up the finances we have or maybe we can add another writing to next to the money attached make it mored convincing so thats we can manage our finances well in the future.

Yes we have our own ways to stop or minimized our risky behavior in gambling. And any methods mentioned even if this is suggested by experts is sometimes not working on other people since its really up to the people on how they execute the strategy mentioned and their level of patience. If they don't have any of those two for sure those people will still end up being addicted or learn their own lesson on more harder way. I guess its up to the people experience on how they can deal with their losses since they can adjust base on what they think good to them, So we can't really pin point something since for sure not all of them can follow those accurately. Maybe its helpful guide but can't expect it will work on us.

There's no harm for using his method and make it as a basis since at least newbie have early pointer regarding on what they should do or how they can deal something on gambling so that they will not expose on more bigger risk that possibly they can't afford to face.

I have not tried that yet. Let's see if it works.

What about those who use cryptocurrencies? Stick a Bitcoin or Ethereum logo in their monitor? I doubt this would work but there's not harm in trying. Maybe it will for others and some don't.
My only tip for newbies is to not try the martingale style if their pockets are not that deep. Play the small amount and then enjoy the games. It would be best if you could identify how much the lowest bet is in every game. That way, you can try to just stay on the price and not be succumb by greed and chasing losses.

This tip from OP will never work in anyway, it's even laughable because what do you think they will gain from such idea? You can only advice people including the new gamblers, what happens after is beyond your control, those who will listen to you will do it for themselves and those who believe that you are bluffing will also do the opposite by ignoring your advice.

Some people only learn or believe your advice after they are a victim of what you are preventing them from, that's when you will hear them saying you are right all along, I don't force people to listen to me, I care so less about it, but some people do want someown to guide them, they are perfect listeners, that's why I won't get tired to warning people on this forum.

The only way to avoid getting wrecked by gambling is by limiting yourself from gambling activities, the more time you spent with gambling then you are looking for something it seems, more money? Or you are trying to hard to drag that luck closer to you, this is very wrong, why not engage in gambling like an hour routine per day? Let's just do it since we really can't tell what will happen, like miners solo mining Bitcoin, waiting for years to solve a block.

So in what what does it make any sense to you that throwing any amount you can get into gambling will take you further and faster to winning some big money? It's all lies.

Having bills placed near you sounds like a good suggestion, but still, it might not be as helpful when gamblers can quickly get immersed through playing casino games. I sometimes have my wallet beside me while playing but it doesn't serve as the best reminder, unlike looking at my losses through my betting history. To me, it's easy to ignore something that's even in front of you once you're hooked on an activity like gambling. If reminders could help gamblers control themselves, they might be better off looking for an alternative that'll help them get their attention.

Well, quite a simple but cool idea, but this tip seems quite effective for beginners. although it doesn't rule out the possibility that we can adopt it, even if we are very familiar with gambling. This idea is a good idea, but in practice it is not as easy as we say. there are many factors, either we are lazy to stick hard money on our monitors. or, those of us who often play on smartphones.

Likewise for beginners, as far as I know, most beginners prefer to bet with a small bankroll. Although it doesn't always have to be specific, it all depends on a person's financial condition. This tip will be useful, for those who feel it is important. and vice versa, this tip will not be effective even if we carry out the idea as you said in this thread. So, basically it all comes back to each of us. but what is certain is that this tip is quite useful.

It's just that, after all, gambling will always involve emotions and the forms of those emotions are very diverse. What must be avoided is the emotion of anger. Our anger when we experience a losing streak will cause our psychological condition to become uncontrollable. Well, this tip may or may not be useful. because of all that, it returns to the control of the gambler himself.

It is genuinely a great trick for those who are not responsible for gambling. As for my thoughts, there will be a slight change. I would advise them to stick a photo of their loved one. The people they love the most sit in front of screens instead of money, like you said. If they know how to think, I believe they will be responsible in this case.
As for those who only know themselves, even if we give hundreds of advice, the advice is useless. Only when they stumble, lose all their money to gambling, lose everything. Then, it will be a worthy lesson for those people to learn how to live more responsibly.

i'm reminded of an acquaintance who put photos of his mother while gambling to avoid excessive gambling even though it's not effective at all, for OP's advice, i think there is no need to put money like that so that someone can control their greed when gambling, things related to self-control actually come from within the person's mind and strong determination.  The most common thing that people who have weak self-control do to avoid excessive gambling is to set a gambling budget that they will start with, so they can avoid using too much money when gambling.

I'm sorry, but I believe this shouldn't work very well for someone who is irresponsible or has impulsive behavior in games.
I understand that there are two ways for a person to spend more than they should on a game... one of them is not really realizing that they have already gone beyond their limits, something that usually happens when they are very excited about the game and don't realize that they have already spent more than they should. that it should.
The other way is when the person is fully aware that they should stop, but believes that if they play again they will be able to recover their losses, even though they know that if they lose again they will be in even bigger problems.
For this last type of person, a "motivational" paper stuck in front of the monitor will not help you at all.

This tip is pretty meaningless because it does not get to the root cause that people end up gambling, which is often chasing losses. If you've already burned hundreds, or even thousands, then a ten dollar note sat by your computer screen is not likely to have any effect. The best defense against this is to keep betting small, like you mentioned, so you can have a little dabble which can be fun. If you've already spent those vast sums and feel like you're in a hole, then you really need to stop gambling entirely - the same with any addiction. It's painful and distracting at the start, but you have to remember that it's only when you hit the lowest point that you felt it was time to climb back out again.
There's no such tip that needs to be followed or to be heard off into someone if you are really just making use of your own common sense and awareness on how gambling works and how risky it is.
Each of us does have that kind of thinking on things that we do encounter and its really that impossible that you cant really be able to assess on whats good and whats bad.
You wont really be putting yourself at big or great trouble if you are really just that responsible towards your gambling sessions or simply on the manner you do spend.
Only spend on the amount on which you can afford to lose or lets say that you are really just that willing to make use for the sake of leisure and on the time that you do go beyond
those lines or limitations then this is where shit do really end up.

Not gonna offend you with this if others don't find it useful. But as we always say, to each their own right. So OP if this is a perfect strategy for you to make you remember that will remind you that money came hard work, that's nice. I have also a suggestion aside from money, you can also use words and stick it on the wall to make you remind about something like this.

I have seen this from those people who lack motivation or looking to follow what they have promised to themselves. As for being responsible in gambling, if this is the best thing that works for you, I'm glad that it works for you and it may work for others too. A good motivation is whatever helps you to be in perfect shape and helps you to remind that you should gamble moderately.

and this tip is not very important for you them you can ignore it, but i found this helpful.
I haven't tried it so I don't know if that's going to work for me but maybe it will. Don't mind if the others tell that it doesn't work for them because you already know that it's not going to work for them and you have said that they can just give a pass.

I don't think this will gonna work but it's not a pain if we're going to try, who knows right? It might be helpful to remind us not to exceeds to our limit and always stick to our set budget. It's not really easy to earn money so don't just spend it if you are not sure if you can stand losing it in gambling.

In the end it's still depend on us on how we control ourselves when we are already playing. Because if you don't discipline yourself then any strategies to remind you to play in moderation is useless.

Kinda funny but in a sense it's a much more sensible form of reminder compared to just trying to "remember" that you shouldn't go a certain amount when gambling. Well-said problem can easily be fixed if you simply avoid or set a certain amount to deposit to play with, but I reckon some people can be rather impulsive and transfer in more money so I guess that type of style to remember "might" be effective for some part at least.

In essence, it just comes down to how you live your life. It's rather easy to see how someone handles himself just by checking how they live their life in general anyway. Highly doubt this is going to be useful for most peoplebut hey, some might just have that kind of niche in their lifestyle.

This is a very thoughtful tip. I am not going to castigate it but I will test it. I want to know if the having money in front of me will evoke any emotions of restraint against irresponsible gambling. It is a hypothesis that I am willing to test out.

A tip that could also help one gamble responsibly is to have a friend call time after 45 minutes when they have gambled to tell them to log out of the casino website if they struggle with time management when gambling.

A responsible gambler will never prioritize his gambling activities over his work, will never prioritize his gambling activities over his business affairs and will never prioritize his gambling activities over his personal and family matters.
However, when a person is too engrossed in his gambling activities, his work, business, personal and family matters are often forgotten and this makes him someone who is unable to take responsibility for the gambling he does.
To become a responsible gambler, we only need to reorganize our gambling activities. Don't let the gambling activities we carry out become an obstacle to us being able to move further forward.
To become a responsible gambler, there's a whole of sacrifice we ought to make because the system have turned out to be more difficult and there's no room for reluctant actions, any slight mistakes, we have succumb to loses in the system. Most people puts gambling infront in what ever they do and some also put gambling at the least of their worries because they have more targets to win. Gambling do control most of the gamblers I've come acroosed.in the system. We should always gamble in such a way we're not frightened by the results that do follows in the system.

That's not a bad advice IMO, because when you use cryptos for gambling you often lose the sense of the value of your funds and you don't see it anymore as real money. Especially when you gamble during a long session, during night while you start to get sleepy and when you are drinking alcohol or using drugs. So it could be helpful to some people, especially beginners but when you are a seasoned gambler or a pretty high roller I don't think you care anymore of this kind of thing.

That's a good motivation but for a determined newbie gambler that will cost them nothing and it's fine, if ever they've chosen to gamble with that money anyway.

If this has been helpful to you, all you need to do is to continue with that strategy of having that paper money in front of you to remember that you are gambling with your hard earned money.

Sometimes all we need is a little piece of motivation or remembrance for us to stop and control ourselves. Because there are moments that we are unstoppable and uncontrollable.
