Rummor has it, the software will be open sorced

Innosilicon stated that it would be - but no specific timeframe of when.

Sooner would be better, and it would be nice if the A2 software got open-sourced at the same time.

I thought a2 was open? With custom sd card images?

 Reverse engineered, not open sourced.

Anyone get the new firmware v0.0.2 to work for Batch 1? I am getting
Error getting device list: ERR: socket connect(0) failed  Angry

Yes, works great using the stock settings that come preconfigured from Inno. 815Mv/1200Mhz.
Note that Batch 1 machines were built before 15th Oct. Check the sticker on the back plate.
The other way you can tell them from Batch 2, 3, etc is that when you power them on the red light stays on solid before you start mining.
With the batch 2 + miners it flashes until the card starts hashing.

HTH.

Finally got my cables issues sorted for my PSU that powers the second A4.  Finally got it running today.  It is running the 1.0.0T version of the software and so far has stayed up since I started it.  Can't say that for the 1.0.2 version.  That thing is as stable as a one legged chair.  If the pattern continues into tomorrow I will reimage the the 1.0.2 back to the stock build.  This is just nuts.  I mean the stock build is far from stable, but my 1.0.2 is crazy unstable.

Of course LTC drops like a rock after we get the A4's.  Go figure.

Still seems a bit unorganized.  Hopefully the new firmware will help out as im interested in the a4s just hope this all doesnt get strung along.  Anyone hear if they are going to open source it to the community, it will only help their sales if so.
Rummor has it, the software will be open sorced but I'm over here with my fingers crossed that a fix comes soon, would have held off on selling my a2 if I knew this was going to happen

Good to hear.  Is cloe the official inno spokesperson here for them or is the inno user the official btctalk person.  Would be nice if they had a person dedicated here to handle the back and forth.

I have not checked what rev I have but I can get it to run for 30 minutes before the software resets and about 2-4 hours before a blade completely disappears

Inno,

is there a download link? when do you plan to open source it? also it was reported that even updated firmware for batch 1 didn't help. anyone who tried please confirm as i didn't get hold of the firmware.

Hey guys,

Thanks for your feedback! Don't worry, A4 customers will always be protected against any issues. We will provide constant and continuous support on our A4 official miners even after 3 month mining period. We will release a new version firmware within 24 hours and make sure all miners work even better with good profit.  Right now, A4 remains the best in the business unchallenged. Any other product claiming to be better than 14nm A4 can not be seen anywhere. Get A4 today and start mining for profit!

BTW, right now A4 price remains the same as announced and shipment will still be based on 3 miner per order shipment preference.

Thanks very much. Any questions, pls email me at [email protected] and [email protected],

cheers

I have to power cycle each of mine at least twice a day.
What version are you using and what mv are you set at, and what MHz?
V1.0.2
815
1200

815mv is to high. That is why you keep crashing. I have found anything over 810mv is to high at least for me it causes problems. I like anywhere from 800-810 depending on pool.

Try this just for grins and see how your miner does. Go to
www.f2pool.com
Set up with 807mv 1200Mhz and see what kind of results you get. Use stock image.

UPDATE ON THIS POOL:: I just had a card crash!! Same problem after a somewhat stable run of about 20 hours I just lost a card even set at lower voltage!!! So never mind!!...  Sad

I'm pondering purchasing the MOQ 5 in the next week--I only have power and space for two unit, however.  I plan on selling the reminder on eBay, but if someone here would like to escrow for a unit, I would be happy to discuss that.
Still looking for some buyer ? I may be interested.

Yes, as soon as the firmware issue gets sorted out, I'll be purchasing.  I'll shout out again once we get there.

Thanks for asking, I appreciate it.

Heck, they didn't even have the first full blade until Mid Oct in their lab...
You are right, I Over exaggerated a little but come on how many of you plugged the miner in and noticed the blades started to drop with in 4 hours of it mining?
