The only altcoin holding I have, is the one I get as a reward from my signature campaign. I have not bought any altcoin before but trust me, I know how it feels to hold an altcoin. It's more stressful than holding Bitcoin, and the funny part of it is that you are just holding for a short period of time, so you have to be vigilant watching the market to know when to sell before you start incurring any loss. But with Bitcoin holding, you just need to sit back and let the market do what it know how to do best. that is, moving in an upward direction.
I completely agree with you, projects are coming out on new blockchains, it seems like a good team is a good project, I also decide to invest there, but the project shoots up in price for the first week, then goes into a hard minus and I generally think about a scam, although I repeat, there really is potential in these projects, but still they do not go up like Bitcoin and Ethereum.

You can see the evidence in the market and the majority of investors hodling BTC and Ethereum in this bear season and, you will no that there is no way you will hodl all those coins for a long period of time and you will not improve higher in your investment.If you don't want any fear in your hodling, I will advise you to to continue embracing the altcoins that will be giving you peace of mind like Ethereum, Solana and BNB which I know they can give you peace of mind if you want to invest on them.
very appropriate because currently the safest investments in crypto are BTC and ETH. If you want an investment that feels safe and will provide big profits in the long term, most of your portfolio should be filled with BTC and ETH. To be honest after listing I never hold the altcoins I got from bounties or airdrops for long because I immediately exchanged them for BTC.
I did invest in lots of altcoins and i received many tokens from bounties as reward. I experienced that, most of the tokens turns into shitcoin or dead after a few months. Some Altcoins performed very good for a certain time then all of those lost 90-95% of values and still traded on exchange with so called volume. Thus process is continued. Even top altcoins also replaced by new altcoins. 2017 vs 2023.
Moral: I think BTC and ETHEREUM is better option for investment, Can be trusted blindly, profitable for long. Low Ranked Altcoins, Memecoins and shitcoins are just headache and reason of huge losses in long time. But anyone can invest his money wherever they want.

It also depends, actually BTC and ETH are already old and those who bought them at the beginning will definitely get a lot of profit but we need to remember we also have to look at other altcoins like I bought Solana last year I bought it at approximately 20$ now I have get 4-10x net profits and before you jump into altcoins or shitcoins, research as much as possible first and don't be fomo because it will mislead you and harm ourselves, it depends on ourselves because it is our first decision and don't consider investing the same as gambling. very different
Research about projects and having all details about team are must before investing in any new project because as things are developing we are having few good projects as well which can perform good and have chance of giving good profit for the investors in the future, but one last thing please do your own work before any investment and also just invest which you can afford to lost as well.

There is very expensive idea which is the best step for buying top currency for dip price and it will good profitable history. What was the trend ieo, ico, ido and many investors enjoy there profits category. I was receiving lot of profits from ico trand and this opportunity was live very long time.
But ICO is dead now as why will one invest into it when they knew that more than 90% of project would either run away with your money or just dump the tokens on the same day of launch. I don't think people will go for ICO anymore though IEO is still a considerable option but for me it would be investing into the top coins like BTC & ETH during the dip and regular investment throughout the year. Not thinking of any ICO or IEO at the moment.
That's true op. Only because of more profit we usually don't hesitate to buy new altcoins, memecoin even shitcoins. Maybe people were benefited from such profit but I think most of the people ended up their investment with losses cause this is a technique where such project trying to make you convince that they are best and that's why they are flying but after investment you will realize that you did mistake. Its true that btc eth won't give you 10x but atleast they don't dump 10x too. That's why it's safe. But a person want more profit then he could use his extra money what they can effort losing whatever the situation will be
Top ranked coins should be preferred for investment and long term holding. If you are a true investor then you must have a tendency to hold for the long term. Choosing an altcoin must consider their team, transparency of the project and everything else. Keep in mind that you must deal with high risk.

Any altcoin that was doing well and drastically reduced to 90% 95% will not come back to life again and whenever you are investing in any altcoin make sure have to make research on the coin or the project and I'd there is no good review found about the project or the coin then don't invest in it and look for another coin that is good. Apart from Bitcoin and Ethereum there are other good coins to invest. Dogecoin, Litecoin and Eloncoin are some of them you have to look into but make research before investing.

The reason on why they lost their value would be is, they are built poorly. There are also those who built with a better quality but their developers can't keep up with the pace for some reasons. So, the investors lost their motivation as well to continue supporting the project. This is why what you said is true that we should not invest blindly. When we say blindly, it is when you buy and forget. It's important to always monitor our investment and stay updated online or offline to know what is happening. If we think we can't do that well, then it's better if we can just pick up Bitcoin, or/and Ethereum. As like you said, these two coins are already proven through time. This is altcoins for you , it is very risky which it can crash at anytime without you knowing. I think some altcoins just have specific time to do well in the market. Altcoins are not investment you need to hodl for a long time, hodling for long you may end up losing it if eventually it gets crashed. I think it is always good to take profit while investing or trading altcoins because you never can tell what will happen in the market, most altcoins have a short life in the market. 
It's not only for altcoins, even for Bitcoin, it performs well because of the hype it has gotten throughout the years and it's still getting it. Every single cryptocurrency or anything in the world performs well or gains more value when it's hyped and people demand it more if the supply is less than the demand. Most of the altcoins were found to have lost their character which never returned to normal. And altcoin I have invested heavily in but the rewards have been pretty much nil. So I think it is better for investors to trust ETH for long term investment rather than focusing on all kinds of altcoins. ETH funds offer a lot of security. But from my site I prefer bitcoin over altcoin for investment because I have earned more by investing in bitcoin than what I have earned by investing in altcoin.

I don't think the bitcoin price rises only for hype. It has demands in the market which attracts real users who use bitcoin for various purposes. But for hype project investors move their money from one project to another and that's why none of those projects get any solid ground in the market. In most altcoins, if the whale investors dump their holdings, the market will crash because retail investors only came when there was hype going around that project. Most of the altcoins are for short term profit which is why there are so many altcoin that failed to survive until the next bull run.
