I can't speak for everyone, but I am reassured by your words...
I want whatever you are taking man...

Lol.  Listen, if I compare how I was feeling a couple of hours ago on #ActM and how I feel now that Ken has posted an upbeat and optimistic reply then I suppose I should be able to bottle it and sell you some for a shareholder discount.

Let's see what Ken shares with us when he gives us the low down on the 28nm chip.  If it was the right business decision to drop the 55nm then no amount of disgruntled shareholders are going to change that fact.  I'm choosing to remain optimistic as that's simply in my blood, but am well aware and very much agree with many people's concerns given the content of the article.

So 2 2-part questions immediately come to mind:

1a) How many coins did we lose on Gox
1b) Is ActM going to join the class action suit against Gox if there is one?

2a) How much did we spend/lose on the now-cancelled 55nm chip?
2b) Is anything from that deal salvageable?

Ken, how about instead of responding to inquiries about our financials with well-wishes you give us facts? As much as I want to hear we're in great shape, I want to know what that ENTAILS. We wants NUMBERS, not platitudes. More and more things look to be falling apart. Level with us - don't try bury it in vague statements.

Ken, thanks for the quick reply.

I can't speak for everyone, but I am reassured by your words and you have confirmed my theory that the timing of the publication of this article has been unfortunate.

Can't wait to hear more about the 28nm full custom. Onwards and upwards! Smiley

How much money was lost on Mt. Gox, how much money is ACTM sitting on now?

Hi Ken,

I've just read the article which has revealed some interesting developments.

I've got a couple of questions that I'd ask you to consider answering when you have time;

Has the 55nm chip been dropped because you have no choice in the matter?

It was the right decision base on all of the facts.

How are the company financials at present?

We are in great shape and moving forwared.

You mentioned the 'March good news' recently.  Is it related to the schedule for the 28nm full custom and when will you share this news?

It is related to a 28nm full custom chip.  As soon as I can.  Still working on some of the details.

Quote
I've been on the ActM irc channel and the sentiment is one of pessimism.  The shareholders are disappointed that they got this news from the media and not yourself directly and they unanimously want you to reconsider reinstating the 55nm development.  Are you going to be making an official announcement before Wednesday's update considering the major changes to the business plan?

I am sorry that the 55nm news came from the media; however, I was waiting to announce that with the good news.

this may be way off topic but it reads very similar to a certain CEO of a certain company that we are all invested in, especially in regards to PR:

EXCLUSIVE: Charlie Shrem Speaks Out About Mt. Gox...

Quote
Shrem believes the company should have, long ago, hired an agency to handle its PR, but it didn’t, because Karpeles didn’t want anyone to know Mt. Gox’s inner workings (read: didn’t want anyone to know what a dire mess it was in).

Except we aren't in a dire mess.

He posted this on Thursday Friday, and talked to the reporter on Tuesday.

How is this not a dire mess?

So there was a weekly update on Wednesday.

The article says that Ken decided to cancel the 55nm on Tuesday; why was this not mentioned Wednesday. And I do believe Ken said "We had no coins on Gox" after Tuesday/Wednesday also.

Actually he said no bitcoins on CT. He didn't mention GOX:

No bitcoins on CT.

I distinctly remember him mentioning Gox. Why did we have money on Gox in the first place anyways?

What's important is that Ken took the Bitcoin he made from UKYO's shares off of the site as soon as possible. What if the $30,000 stolen is Ken's money? Another hurdle for us to overcome.

Ken, please update and confirm you had no Bitcoin on crypto trade at the time of the hack. Thanks.

No bitcoins on CT.

CT is paying out Bitcoin balances though. They didn't lose any coins, they lost $30,000 of USD through paypal or something and have authorities going after the thief. The issue is that this article says two things. Ken had money on Mt. Gox (Which means he lied to us earlier this week) and Ken is canceling the 55nm (The author of the article said that Ken told him this on Tuesday, so why was it not included on the weekly update on Wednesday that the 55nm was cancelled?)

If you are going to tell a reporter something you should expect it reach the ears of the people who are actively trying to find out information about you and your company.

Are you thinking CT?

The cancellation, he said, was driven by three factors. First, Active Mining had some bitcoins — now presumed lost — in the exchange (Mt. GOX). Second, the recent decline in the price of Bitcoin meant the company had less buying power. Third, the machines would cost enough to produce that they would only provide a return on investment if the price of Bitcoin was at least $900.

Did I not read on here the other day you respond to somebodies question about this, by saying that "we" had no coins on there, which has now conveniently vanished? Please everyone correct me if I'm wrong on this.

This seems like yet another conveniently timed excuse to be honest.

I also recall this.

So how much money was on Mt. Gox? How do we cancel the 55nm after we already paid for it, did the tapeout, etc.. This is something. Ken plan to give us an insight on any of this.

Im starting to feel like one can't trust practically no one in bitcoinland that runs a business. ...

although I try to see the glass as half full most of the time… this glass has been apparently half empty ever since lewiki, Vbs, ffs, et. al. abandoned ship. I only wish I had listened to my instincts, and jumped with them.
