Are You Shpongled?
Look at the date: "/2012/09/04/" -- no room for confusion.
Almost exactly one year ago. This company has been raising $200M every 1-2 years for the past several years. My money is on the Venture Capital firm getting $200 million, not the poorly run Bitcoin mining startup.

Sounds like there is confusion about which Avalon is getting the money (and it's not the BTC mining company).  From another thread:

http://www.xconomy.com/san-diego/2012/09/04/running-on-two-year-cycle-avalon-ventures-lands-200m-for-tenth-fund/

Lol, if this plays to be true the person who wrote the article should look for a new profession
So I guess they just pulled the 20nm thing out of their ass? I don't see how anyone could confuse the two companies besides their name... there is absolutely no mention of Bitcoin although this venture capital firm is investing in Bitcoin startups.

the reason Yifu could be absent might be because of this deal, 8M in chip orders is definitely a penny in comparison to a 200M private funding venture, while I dont agree with how the situation is being handled since many of us are being left in the dust trying to figure out whats going on, Yifu is a person and a business man who is trying to become wealthy, sometimes you have to make decisions like this where someone isnt happy and this time we are on that end of the stick,

I dont think yifu is a scammer in any sense of the word he is just prioritizing if this deal is actually real, it also makes BTC look incredibly strong since someone out there is willing to put a quarter BILLION dollar bet into BTC

Who in their right mind would invest 200mil$ into any bitcoin mining operation, never mind a company like avalon after their fuckups ?

Fixed that for you. Wink

I'm of the opinion that if you have $1Bn+ and want to profit in BTC, you buy some bitcoins and you invest in something like bitpay, coinbase, etc. People that have that kind of money and are looking at risky investments are looking to get back a 5X multiple in < 5 years. I don't see it happening in the mining biz...

Well if he pulls that off, it's over for the pretenders on BTCTC.

As far as I know, 20nm is barely real. That could take years for mass production and I'm sure eAsic is not far behind its competitors in R&D.

This is all starting to look increasingly more promising. Ken is taking care of share tendering, we have a dedicated PR person, and the technical pursuits appear to be making some solid headway.

I, for one, am excited  Grin

Shhh, I have bid orders in that I want filled.  Stop filling the thread with positive sentiment!  Wink

Great PR update. Gave me some solace.

Love how the bitching and moaning continues unabated. Really fun stuff.

Keep it up guys.

For those like me who were wondering, Ken answered my PM about still-to-be-transfered AMC tendered shares.

Hi Ken,
I read carefully your forum updates but I have not seen you saying that all AMC tender requests sent before july 31 had been completed.
Could you please confirm that you are still in the process of clearing the pre-jul-31 tender queue ?

Thank you for your reply, I hope my shares have not been forgotten Smiley

I am still working on the hard transfers, like yours.  When they get out of order, then it takes a lot more work to verify the transfer. I will be working on those today.

I'm extremely happy to see this PR position filled.

The first comment on here by them I believe has already proven their ability to submit a positive post in a clear and concise manner.
This will help out a lot with "public" perception and investor confidence if continued.

Thank you

The writing style does look very familiar though, which definitely isn't a bad thing  Grin
