Aye, fight and you may die. Run, and you'll live... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!

Thanks Ken.  The bitcoin community believes in you.  There's a lot more people than you may think watching this company.  Don't fight the FUD!!!  By the way a speaker at the conference said this is going to be a very competitive part of Bitcoin so much so that he didn't even get involved anymore after cpu mining was overwith.  I think it was a great decision to scrap the old and start with the new.    Are the chips that we get the first batch made?

Watching Andreas on Joe Rogan Experience, half way through..it's brilliant.

Almost 3 hours of quality btc chat found here..

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1cexawnOlR8

I wish Antonopolus could have been in New York the last couple of days to set them straight.  I found myself shouting at the screen a few times and frustrated by some of the less than satisfactory and uninformed answers I was hearing, some, but not all of the time.

Couldn't believe my ears when during the introduction of Panel 1 Day 2 (Law Enforcement), Benjamin Lawsky said words to the effect, "Not sure if I should say this but I am proud to say I am good friends with these two guys..", who went on to FUD like there's no tomorrow.  Jnr. D.A. NY County & Deputy U.S. Attorney for S. district NY held the privileged position of being the only panelists who were asked to comment on previous panelists opinions who were not there to defend themselves.  Go figure.

The DA had an agenda and wasn't shy in sharing his personal views, which is fine, but he's from the old guard so probably needs time to catch up with the rest of us.  The U.S. Attorney dude seemed more interested in bragging about, and clouded by his involvement with the Silk Road case and the Shrem arrest than to be of any real use.  I'm sure they'll debrief at the next family Barbecue so everything, for them, continues to be peaches & cream.

Ken, if the Slaughters do a good barbecue then I'll bring my own haggis on the plane.  Can't wait for that day! edit:  I'll be sure to bring the finest of malts.

Q3 ? You are all really happy to wait another 6 months huh. This is a catastrophe.

1-2 PH Q2 window is as little as 8 weeks and as much as 20 weeks.  Either way, if Ken does this, we are on.

Thanks for the update Ken.  I can see you have made a major effort to demonstrate your willingness to be as open and transparent as you can and yet still maintain your stance that protecting the company can only be achieved by withholding commercially sensitive information.  Hats off to you.

Lol, who's your daddy? Cheesy

Hiya!

I hope you guys don't have your hearts set on trading any time soon.  Ken didn't promise you that you'll be trading within a week the last time he broke radio silence.
No.
He promised that he'll *START* moving your shares in a week,

Ken is a perfectionist.  Can't rush perfection.  No telling when he'll be finished Cheesy

We are selling Ukyo shares on Crypto-Trade to recover our losses on Bitfunder.

We will start moving Investors shares to Crypto-Trade within the next 7 days.

Do you think by Q2 1-2 PH will be enough?

My "liberal" estimation put the TNH @ or over 100PH by the end of Q2. I was told I was spreading "FUD" so you can be sure that it was, indeed, a liberal estimation. I'd wager that a sing PH will be around a complete percentage of the TNH between the beginning and middle of Q2. If those that disagree with me are right, and there isn't enough big players coming to the table in Q1 to make Q2 as bloated as I'm estimating, then it would be even more per PH.

Weekly Update 1/29/14

We now have a team of engineers and a project manager working with eASIC and our other vendors to get this project completed as soon as posible.  We are expecting to add 1 to 2 Petahashs of mining in Q2.

Quote
Questions:

Have you had any sample chips at any point? If so, did they work?

No

Quote
Huh When are sample chips expected? Sample, low volume and normal production estimate dates?

We have changed the 28nm to a full custom to be more competitive.  We now have a full team, engineer and project manager working on pushing the 28nm project as fast as we can.

Quote
Huh How long do you expect board design and production to take?

We will have the board ready when we have the 55nm chips, the design will be used on the 28nm chips also.

Quote
Huh In your progress report of November 30th 2013 you stated "We have this last week shipped our first products to customers." - What product was shipped?

We shipped some accessories products to India.

Quote
What reason caused the change of plans and alteration of schedule? Were your initial timeline commitments too optimistic or was there a catastrophic failure? (if so, what?)

No, the timeline was not too optimistic and there was not a catastrophic failure.  In September with bitcoins @ 140, with competition with 400 GH/s and 500 GH/s chips our machines would not ROI, so a decision was made that we would have to refund all of our pre-orders, so we did not commit a lot of our funds to building boards, we was also trying to get enough pre-orders to make our minimum lot with eASIC.

Quote
If you are still at the design phase now, what have you been doing for the last 6-8 months?

We now have a competed design, so we are not in the design phase now.  Finding the right engineers, transferring shares from BTC-TC, legal problems with the Bitfunder shutdown, making sure that when we spun up our chip it would work, fighting all the FUD on bitcointalk, etc.

Quote
Are you in a position to be able to refund your customers every penny or have you spent some of the pre-order money? (Partially answered by Bargraphics trip report)

We have the funds to refund 100% of our pre-orders.

Quote
Is preorder money converted to BTC or kept as fiat?

Pre-Orders in fiat are keep in fiat at the moment.

Quote
Up until a week or so ago, Ken was telling people if they ordered TODAY they would receive a miner in feb/march - Is this still the case?

No,

Quote
Huh Ken mentioned additional hashrate came online in November, what machines were those?

CEX.IO

Quote
When was the new engineering firm engaged?

December

Quote
Can you give us a rough timeline of the full design and creation process, where we were set back, and what part of the process flow we are looping back over now.

Yes, we expect the 55nm chips in Q2, 28nm in Q3.  Our RTL is complete.

Quote
Is there a problem with eASIC's 28nm process?

No, but due to competitive reasons we had to move to a full custom 28nm

Quote
Did we face delays because Intellihash is being incorporated or is it because the boards weren't designed properly to begin with?

No, Intellihash did require some code to be added, but there were other reasons also that required some code to be written.

Quote
Who exactly is the Engineering Firm that was hired, and how long ago did this hiring take place?

We no long release the name of our vendors, due to some investors and customers bugging them.  We hired them in December and it took a couple of weeks.  We had to learn some lessons from the first engineers we hired.

Quote
Can you summarize your meetings with eASIC and the PCB engineers?

No, that would be under NDA with eASIC and NDA with the engineers.
