Yes, currently any posts anywhere count or contribute to activity, but making low quality posts almost exclusively in off topic or politics & society is a good way to get your account banned pretty quickly. Some campaigns also wont accept you if the majority of your posts are in such boards (though crapcoin campaigns wont care).

I have a question, does posting in forums such as off-topic or politics & society be considered as legit posts and be counted in my activity?
What i mean is, do i rank-up if my posts were mostly on this forums?
I am really concerned about this.
Waiting for some answers. Thank you.

Do I understand correctly that it is necessary to become active every day to write posts? not just being online?
Answer : yes you need to be active and to write several posts (at least one post per period) in order to get a new 14 activity every 14 days.
Advice : there is a Russian section. (and Google translate of course)

According to my extimations I should have become Full Member yesterday, but nothing has happened, my activity didn't change, it didn't move from 112. This is starting to be a mystery for me, since I thought I had understood how it works.

Why don't you actually read what I just wrote above? You never even made a post in the new activity period yesterday. You idiots are so impatient for your activity to update you won't even wait an hour before you start to panic.

Sorry pal, but only an REAL idiot would call someone an idiot because he is trying to understand a mechanism. I was not panicking, I was just trying to understand. So you are telling me that you need to make at least one post in the new activity period to trigger your activity rise? Fine, thank you for this explanation, even though you certainly have clearly no clue about social manners, but since you have helped me to understand something I'm thanking you all the same.

No, not until you make a new post in that period. The above post is your first post in the new period so now you have to wait for it to update.

I was already wonderin why it hasn't increased for me for a very long time. But what if you don't post every single day. There are days that I don't post. Does this nullify the other day's activities?

I think you should at least post once weekly for you to be able to get the additional 14 activities every 2nd Tuesday. If ever you miss a post in a week, I think you will not receive an addition 14 activities. Anyway, any excess on your posts will be directly credited after two weeks.

Not true. It's once every fortnightly period, so no need to post every week (though I wouldn't advise just making one post because if it gets deleted so will your activity).

I've read the latest posts in this thread, but it seems I also fail to understand how it works. For a few weeks now I have had activity 112, but when the new activity period has switched, I mean yesterday, my activity didn't change, even though I already have 200+ posts. Shouldn't my activity have progressed 14 points yesterday?

According to the data published on this table:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12saLhlUoqIdairxzuSPu6EYGrt7FN2lOstO1yDjCEbA/edit#gid=1012758442

the activity period should have changed yesterday at 10/24/2017 18:33:20 - so how comes it didn't, or, in fact it did?

It did as it always does. As usual you have just misunderstood how activity works. You need to make sure you make a post after that time and then it can take up to an hour for the activity to be calculated. By the looks of it you have potential activity now so I'm not sure what you're confused on.

Edit: you have a potential activity of 98: https://www.bctalkaccountpricer.info/?token=50942ujf

Thank you very much for the explanation. It takes a while to understand all the nouances of the mechanism.

No, one post per period is enough to get +14 activities but remember if this post was trashed one day you will lose -14 activities.
So to remain safe, you have to make several posts in several topics and preferably in several sections  Wink

It states what it is in the post you quoted: time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration

Simply put you can only get 14 activity points every two week period. That's all you need to know.

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)
Can anybody help to explain what's time?
Time fluctuates a bit every two week but if you want to check then you can use https://www.bctalkaccountpricer.info/ to check the activity period of any account.
Although, As of now it start from Tuesday and ends on Tuesday exactly after 14 days(Referred as time period)

Tuesday, August 1 2017 17:53:20 - Tuesday, August 15 2017 18:00:00
Tuesday, August 15 2017 18:00:00 - Tuesday, August 29 2017 18:06:40
Tuesday, August 29 2017 18:06:40 - Tuesday, September 12 2017 18:13:20
Tuesday, September 12 2017 18:13:20 - Tuesday, September 26 2017 18:20:00
Tuesday, September 26 2017 18:20:00 - Tuesday, October 10 2017 18:26:40
Tuesday, October 10 2017 18:26:40 - Present

Thanks all of your explanations. Smiley

Hello!

Short question regarding the fixed dates table for the activity update:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12saLhlUoqIdairxzuSPu6EYGrt7FN2lOstO1yDjCEbA/htmlview?pli=1

The TIME after the DATE is the time when the new activity period will start?

Example: Today >>>  9/12/2017 18:13:20 so at "18:13:20" server time the new period starts?

Thx!

Thank you for posting this very useful table. I have just one question though: which timezone has been used in this table? This is a crucial data if you need to know the exact moment when new activity periods start.
