Hi, I need you to explain to me about difference from posts and activity. From what I understand I may get one point for every post, but the most I can get is 14 points every 2 weeks. Right now I have 120 posts and 112 activity, I thought I will finnaly rank up to full member, but it didnt happen. My question is: the posts I've made from 112 up to 120 will be counted as activity? thank you
Activity does not equal posts. Look at the following.

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Hi everyone!

I joined  Sept 1, 2017 and my activity just updated to 28 even though I have 33 post.

When is the next activity update two weeks from now? Just trying to figure out when I'll go from newbie to jr member.

As newbie I'm always excluded from airdrops and now that I'm on day 41 since signing up I'm wondering if I'll ever make jr membership...  Cry

Next time October 24, you will gain again +14 activity.
Take a look here to find when the activity will update

Joining the forums just to profit from airdrops? You missed many opportunities here tho...

The airdrops got me interested in increasing my member status but I've been reading the forums for a while. I find the forums very useful even more so now that I have ASIC hardware. Thanks for sharing the link its was very helpful.

I always just came to this site to read and get market sentiment and check announcements.  Now that there are so many Airdrops I definitely have to post more!

It is not about posting more, it is related to activity... Even if you have 100 posts per period you will not get more than 14 activity per period of 2 weeks...

I'm posting in this thread to increase my activity level? Am I doing it right?

This thread just explains how you will rank in this forums, it doesn't have anything to do with increasing your activity level, i mean posting here or in another topic is just the same thing...

Not the best algorithm, as it would take 3 years to reach legendary. It's true that this discourages spamming for activity, but it also discourages posting. So, in simple terms, you get 1 activity per day.

If you have a better algorithm you can post it, maybe it will be supported by the community and then by theymos in the new forums?
For me, I think it is a good one, you have to wait like everyone else. But the worst part is waiting to be legendary trust me

thank you very much. i will post 14 times in 2 weeks time span then.

You don't have to post roughly 14 times. You can post as many as you want but your rank won't increase. You will have to post once in a new 2 week period in order to get another 14 points. So even if you post once every two weeks, you will be able to get every activity point which you could miss if you didn't post regularly. It's quite complicated but I hope you understand it Smiley.

When does the two week period start in that case?

so... last two weeks from now - always from now... or?

I am not clear about the ladder. What do i need to do exactly to level up? can anyone tell me with simple terms

The most simple way I can explain it: Just post.
You get 1 activity point for adding 1 post. You can receive up to 14 activity points every 2 weeks. Activity is updated every hour so be patient. You rank will be set to Junior Member when you reach 30 activity points which will take you about 1 month to get them.

I think we should have a way to summarize long posts. I mean an elegant way, rather than the latest or the oldest. That would make life a lot easy. At least I tend to read the first few pages and skip to the last. I would miss out a lot of info in between.

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Rough summary of what this means: If you post once per day on average, then you will eventually get the maximum number of activity points that you can get. Posting more than once per day on average is useless for increasing activity. The maximum number of activity points you can get is 1 per day, but your activity score only updates every two weeks. Therefore, it will take about 100 days to get 100 activity if you post once per day on average.

Activity is updated every hour.

The new membergroup limits work like this:
GroupRequirement
Brand New0 posts
Newbie(none)
Jr. Memberactivity: 30
Memberactivity: 60
Full Memberactivity: 120
Sr. Memberactivity: 240
Hero Memberactivity: 480
Legendaryoccurs randomly between 775 and 1030 activity

I'm not 100% sure that the membergroups work correctly. Tell me if you see any bugs.

Wow! This is amazing! Thanks for sharing this boss! Now I have a clearer picture of how it goes. It's like a long term goals and plans.Working hard is really required. thanks again  Smiley

Do i understand correct that it will take me at least 30 days to get junior member if i post 1 time in average per day?
So if I would theoretically make 30 posts today and none for the next 29 i would still get an activity of 30?
And I couldn't get more than 30 points anyway...
Sorry as you see I am a newbie - so there are still many questions.

You need to make at least one post in a period of 2 weeks in order to get 14 activity.
Then to claim these activities, you have to make equal posts to them.
