my activity didn't increase from many days..

Activity will increases when you reached the 14 points.
When you post a post in a Day 1 points will increases, I think you are not a daily poster. You post one day and then dont post for two or more Days. This would be the only reason that your activity is not raising.

I started posting Daily, so will that make my activity rise..
AS only a few days ago (Maybe a Week or so) i started actively participating the forum.

You're not going to get any more activity points until the 17th now. You need to make sure you post at least once in every two week period. If you don't you'll lose those points forever.
If I fail to post in two weeks then my activity will be still 28 or its going to drop 14

activity will never drop unless your post is deleted

I am still kind of confused on how this works. If anyone wants to send me a Pm with more details and such I would be greatful.
To put it simply you can get a maximum of 14 activity points in a 2 week period.
If you post 14 or more times in that 2 weeks your activity will increase by 14.
Post 3 times in the 2 week period & your activity will only go up 3 though.
Activity is on the left under your username

<-----------

It's not hard to work out mate.

Basically if you post regularly it'll go like this -

Member for 2 weeks - 14
4 weeks - 28
6 weeks - 42
8 weeks - 56
10 weeks - 70
12 weeks - 84

And so on

I felt that the more active a member is here (with regards to their post count) the more the activity increases. I got 154 activity points as of now means I was active for 154 days?

Not surely! you might have missed many days , this means that you have been online more than 11 days atleast (11 jumps = 11*14 = 154)
Though you can check it in your stats

My stats says:

Total Time Spent Online:   5 days, 16 hours and 26 minutes.
Total Posts:   568 posts
Total Topics Started:   23 topics
Number of Polls Created:   0 polls
Number of Votes Cast:   1 votes

Means I have been online for 5 days? Can't get how this is counted as I started posting here from Nov 14 regularly.

Go here and count all your days if you are really eager to know but why does that matter?
https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/erikalui-141005

14 activity comes if you post once in an activity Jump period(14 days) , it might be that you post all 14 days or just 1 day in that 14 day period .
So it's 11+ days , you can count the days on the link i gave by changing pages

14 is days. 11 is period's number. He can't check in his stats about it unless you meant something else.

11*14 = 154
Where 11 is the number of activity jumps and 14 is the max number of activity we get in a Jump
I meant that since he have 154 activity , so he posted on atleast 11 Jumps , thus atleast 11 days

Right but you can only get 14 activity points per 2 weeks(14 days).

No. Like chronicsky said, you may have been messed some of the periods. But it does mean, you were active atleast for 154 days.

You were online in this forum for 5 days and some hours. That is the total time you spent on this forum.

I'm not sure exactly how it is being counted, but it's your active time spent on the forums.
Being logged in does nothing, I've been logged in for months yet I have only 54 days of total time spent. Anyhow this statistic is useless and can be easy faked with a Reloader add-on (which some members clearly are using).

P.S. Theymos update OP and add Legendary rank.

I read your post like five times trying to figure out if you were asking a question or answering one.  Ha.

I finally decided that you were answering so I've got nothing to add.  Wanna bet on who makes legendary first (j/k)?

Got a pretty sum of activity ontop of my Hero threshold but when is kinda the borderline for Legendary?
Is that random or how does it work?

"I added a new Legendary membergroup with a yellow coin. I am completely open to the possibility of changing both the name and the coin color if people don't like them. In particular, if people find that threads are now too "glittery" with all of the yellow coins, I will remove the color or make it more subtle. If you think that some other color would work better, download the legendary.gif image, modify it with your color, and post your modified GIF image. Don't change anything but the color of that one region in the image, though. (I make these images by opening the image in GIMP, selecting the colored region, and then using the Colorize tool.)

To make things more fun, the Legendary membergroup has no universal activity requirement. You are guaranteed to become Legendary somewhere between 775 and 1030 activity, but the exact point in this range at which you become Legendary is random per user."

-Theymos

So, should be in that range in half a year or so hahaha...

Yes. You need to make at least one post per period and then you can collect all those points either straight away or at a later date, but if that post is removed at any point you will lose all those points for that period even if you collected the full 14 at a later date because you have no longer made a post in that specific period.

Nah, it wouldn't be recoverable if all the posts you made in a period are removed you will lose those points forever. You can even go down a rank. Seen it happen a few times.

While the overal post count was still higher than the activity? I know it happens if you have X activity and X posts. Delete one post, wait 30-60 minutes and your activity goes down with it, but would my activity go down should I delete the first Y posts I ever made until i removed all from that 14 day period?

Right on, I'm thinking that you would know given your work here.  I've had a post deleted before, but I've never been near this kinda episode.

Ha, that's a good point that I had never thought of.  If all of your posts were deleted or removed, activity would go to 0 I guess.

Yes, but they would be easily recoverable as activity internaly depends on "time" as well as posts. If you have less posts than "time" activity equals your number of posts. If you have more posts than "time" your activity equals "time". I doubt the internal "time" value will decrease if you would to remove all posts in a certain 14 day period. Maybe someone wana try it out? Wink

If I fail to post in two weeks then my activity will be still 28 or its going to drop 14

It wont drop for not posting. The only way it would drop is if all the posts you made in that period were deleted or the thread you posted in was trashcanned but you would need all of the posts to be removed to lose the full 14 points.
