I strongly recommend that you look at such a project as a ripple because I believe that this is the most promising coin on the market.

You already have two coins with the potential of making you some profits. Although, i do not know what will happen if you are investing in them for long term.
XRP has really been pumping and dumping and those who are mainly into trading or short term investment are making their profits. Even at that, some are also losing.
You should be able to split your investment on the two coins and not only on one. It will help to reduce the risk of losing.

Well XRP quite have a very fast transaction with a low fee but ADA projects will seems to be good and have a future well both of them have future but if the question is about profit then I go and invest to ADA .
In my opinion, XRP is a better investment compared to ADA. This can be proven by XRP competing nicely with ETH for the 2nd and 3rd position in terms of market capitalization. Also, XRP is backed up by the Ripple platform that can be very useful in banking institutions.
maybe if for the long term I think it's very true but if for fast trading I think XRP and ADA are good because according to my monitoring both of them have pretty good graphics.so if I personally would also prefer XRP because it's good for trade and also long-term investment.
but it all depends on the taste of each person because sometimes other people's opinions are different.
personally i would opt for ada the xrp seem centralized to me under the control of the banks now
They both are very good as a project. But they are different from each other. Cross is a banking and transfer realated currency. And in another hand Ada or cardano is a platform based crypto currency. That both have very good team of developers and good members on team. That have very big market cap and both stand in rank 10. But they got some problems like ripple is very much centralised and backed by bank. And Ada is in development phase for a long time. But as an investment they both are very good cause I think we will see some good moves from them in upcoming future.
I actually prefer Ripple for medium term investment because it's preferred by financial institutions compared to ADA but I have also some Cardano too....diversification is important and these are both 2 good coins to have in every portfolio.
It has become common knowledge that the potential of XRP is currently so great, even I feel that its potential is greater than ETH. in this case, I certainly prefer to save the XRP compared to ADA. Dude's probably making his own research and the question can be part of it so chill. If i were to research about where to place my money between 2 coins, i'd put into consideration other people's input. Both are good projects for me though ripple may have a more kinetic movement this year than cardano.

From investment point of view I would split your sum between the two coins. From crypto philosophical point of view I would choose Cardano because Ripple is heavily centralized and probably supply manipulated coin.
But don't forget that it has already moved Ethereum from second place few months ago. Comparing Ripple to Cardano, first one has much more overall market cap and it wont fall down to 4th or below places in coinmarketcap top. But speaking about Cardano, it has more competitors (such as binance coin or bitcoin sv or iota) that can easily drop Cardano down.

I like ADA much more than XRP. But we should into consideration their history. Cardano is about 1 year at the market while Ripple is around 5.5 years old. It doesn't mean that ripple is better, but there is a room to think about.

XRP is a better choice than ADA aka cardano because XRP is backed by centralized entity and there is less chance of deflation in the short time like 2-3 years. Within this time, XRP may get a minimum of 10x from the current situation in anytime because of its demand worldwide. It will mostly used coin in the market soon.
For my side as well. I think potentially ADA is good thing but XRP have to sides of medal. Already in use with money transfer but highly centralized.
