Aside from discounted rates when purchasing tokens before public launching, what else can a potential investor benefit from investing in an initial coin offering?
What do they do when the coin comes to a crash when it goes public? How do these companies protect the interests of their investors?

Now it is more profitable to invest in coins after the release on the stock exchange. Since In most cases, the price is trading at a level below the ICO price.

Aside from the cheap pricing for investors, I think they also offer bonuses for ICO investors like a percentage of cut when a successful milestone is reached. They usually give out more to investors when the developers gain a lot more investors. So morr people who invest then more bonus.

In my view, the main advantage of investing in an ICO price of coins is still cheap because it has not registered to the reputed exchange of crypto market. Some of company offer the free coin in the addition of purchase. But we need to finding that we are investing in safe ICO because some of ICO are fake they collect the hard money of investor are run away from the market fortnightly to closed their websites.

Early holders if it have a loyalty rewards and also a huge bonus and discount if you would really consider it as a discount,
But for me I think it doesn't really have an advantage since the price would only be dump in the market.

there is so much competition in ICOs.  so many have sprouted, you just don't know which one to choose.  some can sustain their system while others are only good while they last.. hope that something can be done about this.

Investing in an ICO really have more benefits to offer aside from getting discounts, certainly with the successful ICO, you will have great profit and will gain more if the prices went up. Find also an ICO Project that will buy back if ever the prices get deeper after being launched, I guess this is the best assurance that an investor can have.

the advantage if investing in Iico is that we get a bonus from purchasing coins in the form of investment and get the right to coin earlier. but if ico fails, we can lose the investment.

Participating early in an ICO gives the early investors first mover advantage,  you get amazing discount on your purchase and when the project is listed in the market,  you keep on enjoying your position as you have more options than later investors!

Most of the projects I have observe when they are conducting ICO is they give good incentives to the ico investors. Like the previous project that I participated. The sale allocation is not sold all, so the team decides to airdrop the remaining tokens to the investor on how much they invest.

In my opinion, now that the market is falling and falling all around there are no advantages of investing during the ICO, because later, when the coins come out on the exchange, you can buy the same coins even cheaper than at a discount. Unfortunately, the trend is that many coins do not grow, but fall when entering the stock exchange.

At present there are too many risks to invest in the ICO, even though we get a large purchase bonus but the average ICO coin will decline after being listed on the market, it will even be very deep.

There are actually so many advantages of buying in an ICO. When you buy token in an ICO you can get bonuses that is good for you because you buy and there a extra token given to you. But there are also disadvantages like you dont know if that ICO will follow the ICO price when it is already listed.
that is very difficult to guess, after ico is successful and enters the market the average price does not match the price of ico, the team must back up funds to make the coin go up.

It seems to me that the project team negotiates with a large investor on different conditions than with the holders of tokens, perhaps promising them a part of the profit or tokens at very low prices that no one announced.
indeed that is how difficult the fate of a token holder with small capital, surely most of them do not really understand where the price of the token will move. because the consideration for the developer is a big investor

Investing an ICO can be both a good opportunity at the same time it can be a disaster. When you look most of the ICO last few months most of them even can not reach the hard cap moreover they do not collect enough money for development. We need to do our own choose for best investment opportunities.

Bonuses are one of the most important reasons why the price goes down, the whales buy coins and they receive huge amount of coins for free, they do not have any incentive to hold those coins for long, they want to get rid of those coins as fast as they can so they can get a price close to the ico and if they do then they get instant profits thanks to their extra coins they got from bonuses.

In my opinion there are some benefits in case the team has the offering for investors like some % of the every month income for holding their tokens. But it happens rarely, and nowadays ICOs are in hard times like the whole crypto market as well.

As far as I know today there are no ways to insure your risks that we have in connection with investments, but perhaps in the very near future there will be some insurance platforms that will help to avoid big losses for investors who invest money in questionable projects.
