The developers of a coin should not concentrate themselves from trying to protect the price of their coins, this is a free market and the free market needs to decide what it is the price of something, if you as an investor needs protection from someone in order to protect you from your own decisions then you do not really have what it's necessary to be a good investor and you should stop doing it.

Well, when it comes to protecting the interest of the investors, there is a little most of the team can do about that than to wait for the market to recover which I believe every investor anyway will understand the volatile nature of the market generally.

Nonetheless, the same investors I believe tend to be a culprit when it comes to dumping their bonuses to get out the weak hands and buying much more lower anyway, which in this case, I usually consider the weak hands as some bounty hunters. What is important as an investor is to know what you are holding has a potential as that is basically what would make you not to bother about any current downtrend in the market at all.

There is a slight advantage when a customer or investors will invest in an ICO because when the project is offering the coin for sale , the ICO will give many discounts for investor who will ge early to invest in that certain ICO project , so the advantages in investing ICO is lower price tokens than in the market sells.

Let's put it this way.. An investor will invest on something.. Therefore it will expect a profit later on.. Business and investments as usual. And pointing on putting money on ICO's, it can also applied.

But compare to the usual "investments", putting money on ICO is way more risky. Even how hype and good the project is, they are not safe from the happenings on the market. But even how risky it is, there are really people who really wants to invest on here because of the main reason, which is obviously to gained big profits later on once it established a good market price.

How companies protect their investors? Literally not part on the agreement at most of the cases. Companies must continue to work day by day to show that they are seriously pushing the project on the top. They must maintained the trust of their investors at any cost. In case of a crash, yes a buyback is a must but that will not solved the issue depends on the market trend. So for this, they just have to remained focus on their goals and people must see that.

I think there are more stuff to ICO's and investing in them aside from making money. Of course money is a big motive for everyone and I agree that even the people who make the ICO needs money to take their idea further however supporting a new coin could have other reasons then just money. If you see a new token or a coin that has a great usage and amazing features sometimes you just want to support them, what better way to support a new coin if not giving them money.

That way you are telling them you are willing to give money now and have their coin because you believe it will be worth more later. That shows people who are making the new coin there are people who like their idea. I for one supported one coin like that and currently invested in one another not because I was aiming at making money with it but because I liked the idea.

Yes, that is always the thing with ICOs, which is investing in the right ones. There is no doubt a lot of people today tend not to realize that it is not just about promises from the team or some things you cannot see, which makes you a dumb investor if you do that. You have to learn to know how to invest in what you can see and not just some empty promises.

With respect to what you can see, in this case, I am referring to the product and its long term prospect and not just some bullshit product, the team and their past achievements which certainly will give you some guarantee of a team that would not want to jeopardize their reputations, and then the business solution. If you can have all these figured out, then you will always know the steps to take.

I'm going to be as honest as possible and I'll say based on what I see, let's suppose that you invested in an honest ICO and have a great use in real life, besides the discount you get, you have another advantage, the ICO is not yet listed in the big exchanges, so you already have the coins you have the privilege of obtaining huge profits when the coin is listed in the big exchanges like binance and other exchanges, this can take months or years. But you will get high profits. The problem in this is that many projects are copy/ paste, they do not bring anything new and this does not create great expectations in the investors and the team members do not greatly influence in the crypto world. the result is that at the end of ICO they do not list in big exchange and the price drops every day, the project becomes a bigt loss.

Aside from giving you a good discount, there are some ICO projects gives high percentage of bonus as early birds. There for this will be the advantage of participating in ICO before it will list to market. But i think there is no way of protecting the investors from those crash when it goes to public, the only one ways to survive is to hold.

Yes your right,, you get discount by purchasing their tokens and possible you can get profit if the tokens become popular or high price. the advantage is when you investing in ICO, possible they have software or application that can use that invest in their ICO. Some ICO project have dividend for tokens holder.

Those cheap price and additional coins when purchasing are advantages of investing more importantly it is a new coin which can have better potential and functional than those coins that has already out of the market..but in investing theres always risk.Investors would probably do alot of research inorder that they could not fall in a scam projects.
