Aside from discounted rates when purchasing tokens before public launching, what else can a potential investor benefit from investing in an initial coin offering?
What do they do when the coin comes to a crash when it goes public? How do these companies protect the interests of their investors?
This is just the reason I saw that I must invest in ICO. If I discount 100% or 50% of the price then I will be profitable once it listed in exchange. However, because of the red market a lot of ICO right today that are dumping when they hit on exchange. Sometimes, they 90% down in their ICO price which the investors disappointed with.

Some ICOs are offering a buy back if something goes wrong, so you already have your security that your lose wouldn't be so much, and yes, what you said that you gave your self the chance to buy a lot of tokens or coins in a much cheaper price, so when it lunches and the price went sky rocketing you will definitely gain a big amount of profit. I think that is good enough to know for me to consider it as advantage.
Right.I agree with you.Once the ICO had successfully end up reaching the highest market cap,you as an investor will also benefit the most. You can earn a very huge profit in an instant. So once you choose to be an investor, make sure you know the ICO well and the potentials of the the team behind it.

Getting a discount is the only benefit from investing in an ICO.
In more than 90% of all cases, tokens will be sold on exchanges with lower prices.
Many investors wait for the token to be listed on exchanges to buy it, it is also a way to avoid investing in scam ICOs.

When the investors decided to invest in ICO they become the early adopter, they will got discounts and usually extra coin, the crash is usually happened when it hit the exchanges where the investors and bounty hunters going to dump the coin, if the coin got potential then the investors will hold it for long term or even buy more when the price become cheaper, there are several way from the developer to prevent sudden crash, like giving more interest if the investors want to hold it for long term, or limited the coin that can used by the investors in some period time

Let's put it this way.. An investor will invest on something.. Therefore it will expect a profit later on.. Business and investments as usual. And pointing on putting money on ICO's, it can also applied.

But compare to the usual "investments", putting money on ICO is way more risky. Even how hype and good the project is, they are not safe from the happenings on the market. But even how risky it is, there are really people who really wants to invest on here because of the main reason, which is obviously to gained big profits later on once it established a good market price.

How companies protect their investors? Literally not part on the agreement at most of the cases. Companies must continue to work day by day to show that they are seriously pushing the project on the top. They must maintained the trust of their investors at any cost. In case of a crash, yes a buyback is a must but that will not solved the issue depends on the market trend. So for this, they just have to remained focus on their goals and people must see that.

Advantage of investing in an ICO is that you will have all of your tokens at exactly same price, also there are many benefits from bonuses which are given to ICO investors.
If you are interested in particular project, you can help developers to reach at least soft cap to make that idea into reality.
Investing in ICO should be long term investing and helping and not fast and easy money gathering.

if the product and the team has the true vision that is the benefits that you can get from investing in the ICO, yes the price will drop because of the dump from the bounty hunters but in the long run you can really earn from being an early investor.

Now I think people are now waking up, what do I get investing in your project apart from the tokens which is more or less a coupon ticket. We investors need to use this bear market to demand better deal from these developers, before they keep 10% of the tokens later 20% then 30% and now you see some project keep 70% of the tokens to themselves. This is why some projects will likely die or dip further because when these locked up tokens get to the market it is going to put more selling pressure on the price

if ico is a big success, chances are the price of tokens will increase many times in the market at the time of launch. but if it fails, it will be very low exchange rate. therefore the success of ICO must also be supported by investors, because later if Iico is successful, investors will also benefit.

The only obvious answer to this if you invested on an ICO then you would be rich in an instant way no more no less. Unless it turns out to be a scam project.

There is no protection really. Not like we know it from stocks where there can be a market maker assigned to keep the price stabilized.

Some coins like the BNB coin or the A2A from 50x Exchange have buyback build into their token program. That is a stabilizing measure but in no means making it a risk-free investment.

The only advantage that is real is what you have mentioned. Any other advantage is based on chance that the project will be a successful one which eventually would compensate the early buyers or believers for their risk. Unfortunately, the possibility of this happening is getting bleak everyday. Removing these two advantages from ICOs, what left are disadvantages that should not be witnessed by any enthusiast. Aside from the chance to get scammed by people who are never interested in creating any solution to those who are not serious about their project should they face some little challenge along the way.

I can't see any benefit at all.No ICO token will become profitable after listing on big crypto exchanges.
You should think of ICOs as something similar to charity or crowdfunding projects. If you like a project, you donate, you don't invest.By the way,ICOs are dead,so why are you asking this question?Do you plan to buy ICO tokens?

if we can choose a good ico, it will certainly be profitable. because we can get a discount so the price is relatively cheap. after entering the exchange, we have made a profit

Commonly, they can get some huge amount of ROI. Especially if they also get to avail of the promotion but case like this happens only in very rare occasion. This is because ICO's seems to be getting more hard to determine because of its not regulated. Everyone can just easily scam people because investing in ICO''s is really risky which our funds have no assurance to be returned.

Maybe the price of the token will go to moon when it goes public so it is better to buy at the presale but it is not happening with any of the ICOs nowadays which shows that most of the ICOs are not worth to invest and crypto market is also bad now so better avoid investing on the ICOs for now other than you know that it will be a coin for future.

I have never invested in ICO projects but I find that they do not have incentive policies for investors. The acquisition of tokens occurs thanks to those who want to manipulate the market. Although the project is bad, they still want to buy their tokens and use it to manipulate the market. This is a special thing that you should know.
