Though it is as painful as anything, because the Nigerians Super Eagle could not deliver upto expectations, that is football for you guyz, no body want to loose and that makes them strive till they hit a goal, Super Eagle breaks an old time record by not qualifying to qatar for the world cup, i think they have to reset the strategy and techniques because football yesterday isn't football today. Congratulations to Ghana Black Stars.

Fvck Nigeria, Fvck the team the coach and the tactics.
This is the worst game my eyes have ever seen in football, no creativity in the game.
The pitch was below standard, Nigerians are indeed sliding backwards day after day.
Congratulations to Senegal, Ghana and Cameroon in the world Cup.

Frankly, Super Eagle does not deserve to be in any tournament, let alone the World cup. The team as it is presently is not in inform as they played in the Afcon. Congratulations to the Ghanaian team. A well-fought victory. Super Eagle needed to have been disbanded a long time ago. Am so disappointed with Super Eagles players in today's match. It would have been much better If they didn't play today than spoiling someone's mode
Super eagles disappointed Nigerians this evening at the Abuja stadium. They failed to qualify for the world cup for the first time since 2006. It's a tragedy for them, the super eagles were aiming for a win not a draw. While Ghana were put in front in the early 10th minutes of the game. All thanks to Thomas partey who gave Black stars the lead, sooner, Troost-Ekong netted the black stars goal post with a penalty in the 22th minutes of the game. Although I was expecting more goals in the second half, but Ghana later played a defensive game. Ghana have both options to qualify for the world cup, either a win or draw, luckily they drawed against Nigeria. Every Nigerians that watch the game is seriously in a devastating condition.

First match and first unexpected result, Nigeria the favorite team to win was eliminated by Ghana.
Second match and second surprise, Senegal which was 1 goal behind on aggregate was able to score a goal in this game, play penalties and eliminate Egypt. 3 missed penalties by Egyptians including Salah...

3rd match and Cameroon is leading vs Algeria with 1 goal...
In the other two, Morocco is leading with 1 goal and Tunisia 0-0 Mali.
I wanna see 1 "normal" result in this Cup, is that hard? Roll Eyes

Edit: ok Morocco seems to be the normal one lol, Morocco 2-0 DRC

Do away goals count twice in these qualifying rounds? If the game between Nigeria and Ghana ends 1-1, will Ghana advance or we will have extra time?

Yes it does, and Nigeria will not be heading to Qatar.

Congratulations to Ghana and they duly deserve to go through, Nigeria's performance is the 2nd half today was horrible, and even when the game was over there wasn't much sense of urgency from the players still kept very slowly with the ball and not charging forward, the coach could also be blame too for lack changes early enough into the 2nd half knowing that he need a fresh set of legs into the game, there was nothing left to lose.

Here we go. The first match ended with a surprise! Nigeria was eliminated and the black stars qualified although the draw but since in Africa 1 away goal still counts as 2 then..
In the other game, Senegal 1-0 Egypt = 1-1 aggregate with both scoring at home so they will play penalties. Another random result incoming!

Ghana have score goal immediately 10 minutes match kicked off, from the previous match of Nigeria and Ghana in kumasi, Nigeria did not do absolutely well, so the same strategies they are used to play in their home, i know they will defeat Nigeria, if Nigeria did not take time i believe the match will end up 2:0 or 2:1

You just used the early minutes of the match to predict the end of the game, after Ghana scored their first goal it was not quite long Nigeria scored their first goal. I'm not yet sure if Ghana will win the game, the Nigeria team are also trying their best, I can't rate them performing badly. The both teams are doing well .
I predict the match base on Nigeria formal performance, the first goal of Ghana was the fault of goalkeeper, so talking of Nigeria score, their score was achieved from penalty, and the penalty occured as results of Nigeria team pressure, and know very well that without Nigeria striker pressure won't have merit the penalty, actually right now Ghana is playing with lack of confidence, the first half has ended let us take a look second half results, because if this match end 1:1 Ghana is at advantages because of away.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria restores parity in the 22nd minutes through a penalty which was taken and scored by Williams Troost Ekong. It is now 1:1 apiece.
It would have been a disappointment if the super eagles had gone into halftime without getting an equalizer after putting up such a performance and maintaining the most possession in front of over One thousand home fans who to the look of it have come out to see the eagles qualify for the world cup. We had some clear chances, Victor Osimhen has been a tiger in front of goal exactly playing his role in front.

In this second half, super eagles have to go all out and still maintain a good defense, Ghana's away goal is going to count if the game ends this way, Ghana may choose to defend more, which may be a problem for the black stars, because i don't think they will be able to soak up the pressure in the second half. Austin Eguavon will need to remind the players what is at stake in his halftime score, we have to make good use of our chances.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria restores parity in the 22nd minutes through a penalty which was taken and scored by Williams Troost Ekong. It is now 1:1 apiece. I hope Nigeria continues to pile up pressure on the Ghanaians and not relent. Meanwhile, it is Senegal 1 and Egypt 0 in the other ongoing encounter. Both encounters are looking unpredictable as live matches go on.

I'm hoping Nigeria will continue to put pressure on them the way they did luckily with the penalty, or else it won't be funny seeing us out of the qualifiers and, more importantly, a big taint on Nigeria for failing to defeat Ghana when they came to our home.
I like the way Victor Osimhen really change the taste of the game even with his injury, I'm really hoping that goal he scored that was later off will be repeated before 90 minutes, I don't want us to go penalty because that thing fear me that we may loose to Ghana.

The first half ended with both teams Nigeria vs Ghana scoring 1:1 goals and both teams' performances were above average will this match end with penalty shootouts or a team will win within the 90+ minutes of play. This is a much-anticipated match of the hear and the first time the Nigerian team played on the field in the motion Abiola Stadium in Abuja Nigeria.

The match was quite even but I felt Nigeria where just slightly the better team, the goal they scored was literally the keeper's fault, but the response from Nigeria was good and being able to equalise before halftime puts them in a less difficult situation. That said, it's still anyones game.

Today's game has been an interesting games, both Senegal vs Egypt match and Nigeria VS Ghana match.
These matches are now at the peak of seriousness, Nigeria equalise by Penalty to level the game 1-1, while the Senegalese secure an early goal to also level their Aggregate 1-1. This coming second half will really be an interesting one as All the countries will want to secure their tickets to Qatar.

Nigerian vs Ghana football is about to kick off, we believe that Ghana will play well as they played before, if Nigeria did not come up with nice strategies it's obvious that will defeat them, this match is interested and very strong, the match have started,.

The match is going to be a contending one but i know that our super eagles will always make us proud, i will be viewing from livescore and here for updates, Ghana is also set and well determined but the goal will definitely be sure on one side of luck!

Ghana takes the lead within few minutes of the game. Ghana 1, Nigeria nil. This is a sad one. Now Nigeria has an uphill task to match the Ghanaians. Nigeria is missing alot of chances and I hope the Eagles get back in the game this first half. A draw here means Nigeria is out of the qualifiers and Ghana goes through.

Today's match between Nigeria and Ghana will be very rough like what North African teams are known for. I do not like how the match is hosted in Abuja. Nigeria should have taken the match to Uyo stadium as we are often lucky there. Am very scared now to even watch today's match because anything can happen on the pitch. The game can go either way. I do not know whether there is going to be an advantage for Nigeria with the 60,000 capacity stadium as against the 40,000 in Kumasi.
Today, as Nigeria hosts Ghana in their final World Cup qualifier, we hope the Super Eagles of Nigeria bring a smile to our faces. The first leg was played in Kumasi, Ghana, and finished in a draw, so if Nigeria's Super Eagles can win today, it will be a huge boost to their chances of qualifying for the World Cup in 2022. However, if Ghana wins, Nigeria's Super Eagles will be disqualified from the 2022 World Cup.
It going to be a very tough game considering the fact that both teams will want to make it to the world cup. Nigeria have qualified for the last three editions of the World Cup, making it to the knockout stage in two. While Ghana failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup and are expected to give their all for a chance to feature again in the finals. This game, like the first leg, is expected to be contested closely but the home advantage might just do the trick for Nigeria. But in a crucial and decisive game like this, experience and precision wins the game. From the first leg, Ghana were more organised and played like the more serious and determined side. I predict a draw in this game.
