Tomorrow match Senegal was very strong at home against Egypt who have good defense i think this is interesting match because win 1-0 is not enough for Egypt to secured their position went to world cup and in my view since in the beginning of first half Senegal will playing attacking to pushing early goals but Egypt will focus to their defense and playing rely on counter attack and so far Egypt good for that strategy especially they have very fast players such as Moh Salah

I agree with Morocco to win as I believe they are better than dr Congo, and I am also expecting the champions of Africa to turn the tables arpund and qualify against Egypt, it's another final and this time it's for the world cup qualification, even if Senegal won't qualify I am expecting them to at least score, they have to try in their home country, they definitely won't let go that easy.
Yea, Senegal scoring sounds reasonable. In a "normal" game I would say there will be easily 2 or even 3 goals, but as the African games are mostly with very few goals, often 0 or 1, I don't feel so confident here. Less than 2 goals pays 2.05 for Senegal vs Egypt, same or similar for most other games. Could it be a good strategy to put "2 or more goals" for all 5 African games? Odds are between 1.6 and 1.8, so one would need at least 3 out of 5 to make a profit here. My hope is that at some point in the 2nd leg games the team that is about to be eliminated has to open up, leading to more goals  Huh

Here are the latest odds:
Senegal - Egypt 1.88/2.95/4.8
Odds for qualification are Senegal 2.7 / Egypt 1.4
Senegal is clearly favored by the bookmakers for this game, but Egypt has the win of the first leg in their pocket. Senegal will have to play offensive and score goals themselves. This will be an interesting game.

Nigeria - Ghana 2.1/2.8/4.2
Odds for qualification are Nigeria 1.72 / Ghana 2.0
Difficult to predict, it depends how Nigeria finds into the game

Morocco - DR Congo 1.57/3.7/6.25
Odds for qualification are Morocco 1.2 / Congo 4.0
Off all games this has the clearest odds in favor of Morocco. Anything else than a win of Morocco and their qualification would be a surprise.

Algeria - Cameroon 2.0/3.0/4.2
Odds for qualification are Algeria 1.18 / Cameroon 4.25
I didn't expect Cameroon to lose the first leg. They need a miracle to turn this around. Algeria disappointed at the Africa Cup, but it seems they'll make their way to the World Cup.

Tunisia - Mali 2.55/2.8/3.1
Odds for qualification are Tunisia 1.25 / Mali 3.55
The most open game (considering the odds). Tunisia with the advantage of the win in the first leg should be able to go through and qualify though.

If I had to pick bets, I would go for Morocco wins @1.57. Most others games look very close and unpredictable. In general I think we can expect a few more goals than in the first leg, but goal numbers have been traditionally very low in the African games anyway.

Football is not what you wished for. No play from Ndidi, I expected him to control the midfield well, but he struggled. As luck would have it, Ndidi was unavailable, otherwise they would have seen what the Egyptians saw at the AFCON. This year, Ghana's greatest achievement has been drawing super eagles. Let's wait until Tuesday before we start throwing stones. We should wait for the returning match in Ghana, when there will be a quality pitch instead of the fall and rise pitch.

Well, it was an interesting match but I expected more from super eagles. Not just Ndidi they all didn't play as expected but I know it will be different in the 2nd leg. Ghana did well and they should have been victorious, they were prepared and wanted to go for the win but they were unlucky. I don't think the pitch was a problem Nigeria lack togetherness, teamwork, creativity and And it's something they have to work on in the  2nd leg

Senegal - Egypt
this is a game in which egypt will win and as expected from africa games we will not have many goals

I still don't understand why Senegal is finding it hard to score against Egypt, isn't it this same Egypt, Nigeria was able to score more than ones against. If senagal wants to show the world they truely are the best in Africa then they have to somehow perform a comeback and secured the ticket to Qatar.

Nigeria - Ghana
It's a very difficult game to predict the result, but I think Nigeria can win the game

Ghana pressured Nigerian at their home but couldn't score, I doubt they'll be dominating the game as they did when playing on Nigeria soul, Nigeria had some chances they didn't utilized that would had given them an advantage going into this game especially in the second half of the games. An example was the last minute dribble by a Nigerian player that should have lead to a goal but poor choice to cross the ball instead of passing to the closest team player cost us a win.

I would go with morroco to win too since after seeing the first games they are the safest to bet on plus i think there is a clear difference in these teams level the other games are tricky but i think senegal have the highest chance of all the teams that lost in the first half to get to the world cup they are really good and i think they will win too.

From the game nigeria played last with Ghana one of the thing I think Nigeria last most is a good midfielders that was why their performance was not good enough, Nigeria were  not strong in their defense and attack.  The Nigeria go keeper tried for stoping every ball that was was coming to the net.

some Nigerian players play very well and more because they want Be seen by some teams in Europe

This is the reason why the Nigeria coach or coaches managing players for Africa have to concentrate on local players in the local league and get them picked for their national teams. Some people have argued that the foreign based players who have already been to Europe and are in various clubs will not be that committed to the country like hungry local players will be. But the Nigeria coach Egueavon has not followed that method. He has maintained the method the sacked coach, Gernot Rohr who relied on foreign based players more to execute his matches.

Nigeria can not be predictable at times, I do not even trust then at home because they can make mistakes when people are expecting then to play good.

You are right. The Super Eagles know how to disappoint when you expect them to perform. If not that the second leg should be a simple match, and an easy walkover. Another thing I do not like is what I heard that President Buhari has promised to be at the Abuja stadium to watch the encounter. That was how Buhari spoke with the team during AFCON in the match with Tunisia and Nigeria lost that match. I want that omen not to repeat again in the second round match. Austin Egueavon should up his game and make necessary tactical changes wherever it is possible.
The performance of the African teams is so laggy in fact. In their competitions, you will never know how the game will end even if top teams like Nigeria is playing vs an unknown country. It is classic there. Things are more obvious in Conmebol although they switch places from time to time except Argentina and Brazil. Same goes for Asian teams. In UEFA qualifiers, you have usually a clear favourite with a surprise from time to time. In Africa, surprise from a half time to another and from a match to another. I will not be surprised if the outcome of the next games will be totally the opposite.

Tunisia is a strong team, but Nigeria has very beunos players, that presage you speak this time will not happen, sometimes we expect a lot from a team and we do not know the pressure that each player has, some Nigerian players play very well and more because they want Be seen by some teams in Europe, when a Nigerian or African player goes to Europe is a reason to give him a lot of satisfaction. These qualifiers have been very exciting, for Europe and Africa you can expect any soccer events, my heart is with Nigeria.

Egypt finally successfully revenge from Senegal that although it comes from own goal by Saliou Ciss in early minutes but it's enough for Egypt to one step a head went to world cup and the match were very tight because both of teams had been playing attacking each other but the goalkeepers for Egypt and Senegal has playing well and no more goals until final whistle
I don't think Senegal has seen the last of  Egypt yet because the pharaohs will make it a life's mission to make sure Senegal does not see the gates of the world cup because they are still smarting from the defeat at the afcon tournament. But looking at Senegal, I don't think they will fold their arms more so now they will be coming to their ground. I hope to see a comeback from the Senegalese side.
From onset,I knew Egypt would win that match, despite the fact that Senegal won them through penalty in their previous meeting,Egypt were very much prepared for this meeting to avoid any silly mistakes that will make Senegal have advantage over them, and they fought it through to the last minute.Though Senegal also proved to be very tough, knowing fully well that Egypt were prepared proved to be very solid untill they made the mistake that led to Egypt's goal.

Nigerian did not play anything good because the ball possession indicates that Nigeria did play well, Ghana oppressed Nigeria from the beginning to end of the match and their was no breathing space for Nigeria team, let us wait and watch the returning match, definitely if Nigeria use this method Ghana will win them.

What matters at the end of a match is who won and not who had the ball possession and oppressed. The match ended goalless and it is a share of the spoil. My fear is over because am sure the Super Eagles will defeat the Black Stars in the return leg in Nigeria. Nigeria shows more confidence playing at home than playing away. I give the next match completely to Nigeria.
Nigeria can not be predictable at times, I do not even trust then at home because they can make mistakes when people are expecting then to play good. Like I have said before, the match between this two countries teams is not predictable. With what I have noticed from the first match though, it is likely that Nigeria would win the second match which is what we are waiting for and not more than few days from now. At least if Nigeria can not win in Ghana, they should b able to win in Nigeria.

Honestly every efforts by the Senegalese to equalize in yesterday's match was thwarted by the Egyptians, they threw in everything to frustrate their visitors from scoring, equalize and wining the match, I also view a replica of what happened yesterday to repeat itself in their second leg to be hosted by Senegal, though playing at home will give them an added advantage, however I am very sure the Egyptians will play defensively and play counterattack to be spearheaded by Mo.Sallah, it's up to the Senegalese team to utilize their chances else will have themselves to blame.

It was a balanced game between these two @Mo. Salah and Sad. Mane and the win in this encounter came by an own goal. This tells you the extent to which, the Senegalese are prepared to give Egypt a serious fight over the slot. It was just a month ago that they did the unexpected and beat Egypt to lifting the prestigious AFCON trophy.  In essence, I don't see Egypt to be the top team here but Senegal. Senegal seems the more formidable team with Mendy in the goal post and Sadio Mane to lead the attack. Its still great on how this first encounter turned out so, the Senegalese have got to prove themselves once more after the AFCON finale.

One goal is not very much indeed. Actually all the games were in a very good tradition of the Africa Cup where most games were decided by a single goal. I doubt this will change much in the 2nd leg games. So while one goal "normally" is not that much, it is quite meaningful under the African circumstances.
Tunisia and Algeria have more of advantage as they won their away-game. Egypt and Nigeria both do have another very tough game ahead.

Seems he doesn't know how vital, one goal is in Africa football, the physically; of the game makes it difficult to even score more than one goals. It take a very strong side playing against a lesser team to achieve that. Egypt having a one goal lead is a very strong advantage. Let's not forget Senegal didn't score against Egypt at the AFCON finals. They only won by penalty and we know penalty is a game of luck. This means senagal are finding it difficult to break the Egyptian defense especially with their incredible goal keeper at the middle of the posts.

I doubt Senegal can score two without Egypt replying in the second leg match. Senegal put themselves at a very big disadvantage in this game, probably the fans at home will give Senegal the strength they'll need in that game because Egyptian can just adopt a defensive style of football and go through to Qatar.
