Honestly tonight I'm very disappointed and my enthusiasm is gone, I won 1-0 in the first leg but in the end Egypt lost on penalties, Moh one of the first kickers failed to score Mendy's goal, but I'm also very disappointed with Senegal fans always shooting leser towards Egypt goalkeeper, if Egypt kicks a penalty ball, Senegal fans are also busy shooting a leser in the face of an Egyptian player, I think FIFA should give a sanction to the Senegal national team.

I also believe that FIFA is obliged to take some action regarding these lasers. They are dangerous to the eye, in fact, they are weapons.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzY30Ah8bKY - Here is a video where such a laser bursts 100 balloons standing in a row.
And here is the face of Salah before he took the penalty

A sad day for Nigeria and Egypt. And it’s hard to say for whom it’s sadder - for Egypt, which had an advantage after the first game and eventually lost in the lottery to Senegal (as well as in the African Cup final) or for Nigeria, which lost because of the “away goal” rule, which is gradually dying out everywhere. It is a pity that Salah will not go to the World Cup, and I am increasingly convinced that the system for selecting African teams is fundamentally unfair.
It is a sad day for those teams. But it would have been equally sad for Ghana or Senegal if it had been a different outcome. I think they should overthink their qualification rules in Africa. Of course it happens also in Europe that for instance Italy doesn't qualify, but this is kind of their own fault by playing inconsistently over a longer period of time. In Africa it all comes down to the final K.O. game, independent how well a team has played throughout the qualification.

It makes no sense to compare the African rules with the European ones - they are fundamentally different (and unfair for Africa). I don’t understand who guessed such stupidity: to identify the strongest African teams in order to weed out exactly half of them in a knockout match?! This is complete nonsense. Why is it impossible to reduce the number of groups and hold regular round-robin tournaments where the strongest team would receive a guaranteed ticket? This would be more fair and reduce the randomness of the results. I doubt that for example Egypt and Nigeria are weaker than all those African teams that have received a ticket.

Again this showed that Austin the incompetent Augustus Egueavon is not a tactical coach. Many people say that if not for pride or something and maybe his ability to give percentage to the powers in the glasshouse, Emmanuel Emenike should have been a better choice to lead the Eagles. But everybody is suffering that wrong decision for allowing Egueavon lead us. They all have to hide their faces in shame now. Sports in every aspect is dying in Nigeria. The local league is almost dead. The female league is nothing to write home. Let everybody in Nigeria feel this pain and move on. Farewell to world cup 2022. Farewell to Qatar.
What I never understood is why the Nigeria Football Federation held on to coach Eguavoen when it was crystal clear that he is not the right person to lead the Nigeria's team or project especially after their outing at African Cup Of Nations.  Eguavoen pretty much look like the Koeman of Africa, clueless and slow to effect change. The team was better off without him. Thankfully, the best team won and honestly, Nigeria's team does not deserve to be at the World Cup, it would have be a disaster.

There were some pretty ugly scenes after the Senegal and Egypt match yesterday. I saw a short clip on Twitter showing Senegal fans storming onto the pitch trying to attack Salah. He also had cups and drinks thrown at him as he was leaving the pitch after the defeat. I didn't watch the match, so I don't know the reasons behind it all. Is it just due to a rivalry between the two nations or did Salah do or say anything to kind of justify such (unfair) treatment? He doesn't seem like the type to do something like that to me.
That was absolutely not called for, but likely racism because Egypts are whiltes while Senegal are blacks. But this surprised me because racism are most from whites not blacks and not common in Africa. What I am still thinking is that it was used to distract him when his country's team were on the way to the stadium, but after match, that is another thing.

Nigeria’s biggest problem in that match was the European born players. Most of them were born in other countries, they do not know what football means to us. They do not understand how there is insecurity, poverty and whatnot in the country. They did not understand that in all these things. It's football that gives us joy.
There was no urgency to win the match, they were all playing sluggishly.
Do you know what I can say about Nigeria issue, the Nigerian economy is not even good, not attractive for companies to have sufficient funds to sponsor clubs, good talents in Nigeria are buried forever because people are not interested to join clubs in Nigeria. You can see in foreign countries with good players how they have been practicing sport right from a child age, that is not happening in Nigeria.

I don’t think that Salah has done anything to deserve such horrible treatment, and the fans responsible for such racism acts should be banned. Lastly he was also subject to lasers during the penalty shoot out, and I really feel that the security should have done a better job to protect him.

Augustus egueavon is not a good coach,  all the time as nigeria coach he always fails to deliver. In 2012 as a coach the nigeria team didn't qualify in AFCON,  the same year in 2012 in his watch as coach the nigeria team didn’t qualifier  for Olympics,  also in 2021 afcon round  of 16 nigeria didn't qualify and again 2022 FIFA World Cup as a coach nigeria didn't qualify with bad performance. I think the coach should be blame too for nigeria not to qualify.

World Cup qualifiers zone African have been finish with 5 countries qualify to World Cup after last match success win, here 5 countries as African zone

1. Cameroon
2. Senegal
3. GHANA
4. Morocco
5. Tunisia

Above listed country from African will play on World Cup, I was sad getting my favorite player Salah from Egypt can't play on world cup after defeating by Senegal with penalty kick.
Senegal, Cameroon, Ghana, Morocco and Tunisia every one of these African teams booked their places at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Senegal has a promising team. As Salah's Egypt knocked out by penalty shoot-out, African hope lies down on Senegal, Cameroon, and, Morocco this year. I don't know other destination. I must say Senegal is powerful team. I'm completely frustrated in the Nigerians and Egypt takeoffs from World Cup. Sorry to Salah!

Among these five teams that qualified for the world cup, they all played in the last Afcon and judging by their performance I think only two of them can give a fight in the tournament and they are Senegal and Cameroon. The rest three may just be push over for the European teams and may not come out from the group stage. Among Senegal and Cameroon however,  judging from the final match between Senegal and Egypt at the Afcon, Senegal as the current champion has young players that are ready to show they can go all the way.

Frankly, Super Eagle does not deserve to be in any tournament, let alone the World cup. The team as it is presently is not in inform as they played in the Afcon. Congratulations to the Ghanaian team. A well-fought victory. Super Eagle needed to have been disbanded a long time ago. Am so disappointed with Super Eagles players in today's match. It would have been much better If they didn't play today than spoiling someone's mode
Super eagles disappointed Nigerians this evening at the Abuja stadium. They failed to qualify for the world cup for the first time since 2006. It's a tragedy for them, the super eagles were aiming for a win not a draw. While Ghana were put in front in the early 10th minutes of the game. All thanks to Thomas partey who gave Black stars the lead, sooner, Troost-Ekong netted the black stars goal post with a penalty in the 22th minutes of the game. Although I was expecting more goals in the second half, but Ghana later played a defensive game. Ghana have both options to qualify for the world cup, either a win or draw, luckily they drawed against Nigeria. Every Nigerians that watch the game is seriously in a devastating condition.

Our coach wasn’t tactical enough. His plan failed from the start of the second half. His introduction of Shegu Abdullahi made it obvious that he had no clue anymore.
If you are having a hard time dealing with the loss, please stay calm.
It’s not even close to how terrible the state of the nation is. Maybe we need to focus on the real problems.

I also didn't watch the game, but it sounds like it was quite ugly: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2022/mar/29/african-world-cup-playoffs-senegal-egypt-nigeria-ghana-algeria-cameroon-morocco-dr-congo-tunisia-mali

A statement from the Egypt FA said: “The Egypt national team have been exposed to racism with offensive signs in the stands against the Egyptian players in general, and Mohamed Salah in particular.
“The crowd also intimidated the players by throwing bottles and rocks on them during the warm-up. The Egyptian group’s busses have also been exposed to assaults that led to broken windows and injuries; filed with pictures and videos as proof in the complaint submitted.”
This is shameful and pretty shocking, I hope that something will be done to prevent scenes like this in the future!
Reading further into the article, it seems that Nigeria vs Ghana also had their share of "fan" violence. I hope we won't see things like that at the World Cup. Every team and all fans deserve a fair and respectful treatment to enjoy the sport

There were a lot of unexpected result in yesterday matches, the most surprised one was Nigeria versus Ghana, after the whole efforts from Nigerian government and NFF, Nigeria players still prove incompetent. I think the coach should be sacked.
It definitely is a disaster for the Nigerian team to miss the qualification, I also think there will be some consequences. Nigeria participated in 6 out of the last 7 World Cups, so missing the World Cup is a pretty big thing. Of course Ghana was an opponent on the same level, but after their disappointment at the Africa Cup Nigeria was probably counting on the qualification.

Senegal and Egypt both team are strong enough. Unfortunately Senegal lost their 1st leg with own goal.Edgy won by 1-0 goal in 1st leg.I Think senegal more difficult team, everything will be happened in 2nd leg.I hope Senegal will be come back in 2nd leg but It's not easy. I hope senegal will be come back and qualify next round.
I thought as much that Egypt might not score at all in the second match, Boulaye Dia scored which make Senegal to have a single goal scored and luckily the penalty favored Senegal. Senegal won.

Congratulation to Senegal team for the massive victory they got from Egypt to be among the qualify team in world cup. Egypt tried their possible best to defeat Senegal to be part of the qualifiers but the game later turned to penalty shootout that gave Senegal the opportunity to win the match. Boulaye Dia of Senegal player really helped his team to embrace early goal that keep them to penalty shoot out that made Egypt players to lose hope because Senegal defeated them through penalty shoot out in AFCON final.

Dunno how many expected Egypt but also Algeria to be eliminated although they were leading with 1 goal in the first leg..
For Egypt, I couldn't blame them much since losing in penalties is something that you cannot control. At the opposite Algeria wasn't able to qualify due to a last minute goal..
Well, considering all of this, African teams won't go far in the World Cup.. Their performances are way under others especially Europeans and Conmebol ones.

I surely wasn't expecting Egypt to be eliminated from joining the World Cup.I would blame them even if they lost with penalties although you cannot predict penalties you can fight really hard to not let the game to go to penalties in the first place.

I don't think that all the African teams will not go that far in the World Cup,usually at least some of them have passed group stages and there was a time when Ghana has even moved to 1/8 or something like that.I see strong teams have qualified like Cameroon and Senegal,I expect Senegal to be the best of these teams or the team that will go the most far during the World Cup compared to other teams here.

But having said all that, I think all of the teams have deserved their qualification. Egypt and Nigeria might be (on paper) stronger than for instance Cameroon and Tunisia, but we saw in the Africa cup that the "weaker" teams can beat the better ones on a good day (Tunisia vs Nigeria)

Unbelive after so many years Argentina and Nigeria cant share the same group. They are in the same group in Korea-Japan 2002, Sudafrica 2010 , Brasil 2014 and Russia 2018.

I only feel sad for Salah not for Egypt because they never played to win anything always playing defensive mode.
Even though Egypt may look as if not playing for the winning but still put in constant effort to defend their position at every game is an indication that Egypt is better prepared to defend their team points and possibly make goals scores. Since Egypt is not going to play against superior teams like Nigeria, Senegal, and Argentina this will give Egypt a better chance of winning some of their matches and making it to the finals.

Currently these are the best teams on the continent of Africa. It is good that these strong teams will be representing Africa not that other teams are not good but they not Hungry enough and committed.  I am happy and confident with the African countries that qualified for the World cup, they know what they want and worked hard for it. This world cup is really going to be interesting. Senegal and Ghana are really prepared for it and I can see it. I just hoped they keep this spirit and work hard to the world cup finals. I feel soo happy for Senegal and so sad for Salah. I have got mixed feeling for this game. Senegal has proved to be better than Egypt twice.

A penalty shootout saw Senegal defeat Egypt 3-1 to qualify for the upcoming FIFA World Cup. They hold their nerve once again. A further demonstration of Mane's superiority over Salah. Sadly, Egyptians cannot always win their games by relying on penalties. Mohamed Salah's presence alone won't be enough to qualify Egypt for the World Cup. Senegal is the only team in Africa that I'll support since Nigeria is out. I congratulate Ghana on getting through against an overconfident Nigeria. Although top African teams will be missing World Cup because of lack of effort.
