All scams are paying for reviews and advertising these days and most ICOs are scams. Bear market will hopefully weed out most of them.

It was much better than this in 2017, for sure! People earned good money from bounty because almost every token was valuable. Those were the best days. On the other hand i still believe everything will be better and the market will just grow again. So the bounty tokens will be more valuable i guess.
The situation of bounty campaigns has strong relation with the Crypto market situation, people are no longer investing in ICOs due to uncertanity, thus most projects fail to collect enough fund, which result in not paying for bounty participants.
But bounties will not die because crypto is still thriving in this bearish trend. Investors are just waiting around and looking for better projects to invest to. If bounty campaigns will just be realistic with their bounty payments, like escrowing tokens then I'm sure that the problem of non-payment will be solved. The thing is, bounties is a gamble so if you're willing to take that risk then you don't need to complain in the first place.

You have to make difference between good and bad bounties. Bad and scammy bounties have had always a harder time to succeed, even in 2017 when the environment was perfect, some bounties failed.
Good bounties, on the other hand, can even come out successful when the overall situation is a bad one (the year 2018 for an example). It all comes to down how the bounty is run - when it is done positively a bounty and the ICO can still work out marvelously

Since the rate of the bounty hunters has dropped increasingly this year, and yet majority of them have not retort then, yes, it may be the worst year for the bounty hunters, all we could do is hope for the best.

No, the Bounty campaigns will not in the nearest future that's for sure, untill the ICO projects will be held and coins will be made and developed.

You will not see the problem in the number of participants, if you find a really worthwhile, well thought out project. That is the point. Generosity will not die, at least as long as ICO exists.

There is a need for regulation for bounties for us to have a value for time and resources invested, several multi account has been open, individual using bot, this has reduce the value on bounties, My strategy now is to research well before joining a bounty and also consider one that has cap the number of bounty hunter that can join.
I am sure and optimistic that crypto will still be there, and it will last a long time in the future, indeed many say crypto 2018 is very bad and now it is entering the beginning of 2019 and hopefully this can be a good start for crypto to get back up

I dont think it would die if market recover then more people would join it again so more money with them new projects and ideas ,then bounty hunters woud earn from projects even with situation when more and more users join bounties ,so as we are already in 2019 its new year with new hopes and wishes,good profits for everyone and usable products.
