It's the Tether incident that most likely plunged the value IMO. It's probable that holders liquidated their USDTs to get out of the fiasco before Tether decides to hold withdrawals.

It's not only the Chinese new year that is causing this dip. It's because of all the FUD that has been spread lately, like Korean and Chinese ban of cryptocurrencies, then India also banning, exchanges being hacked and robbed and bitfines being accused of fraud. This is carefully timed in order to bring the price down. So the whales can buy large numbers for a very low price.

In my opinion, as what I have observed, the prices usually goes down on January. There are speculations that the prices would go up first week of February so relax and listen to those crypto enthusiasts.
They have the best instincts about cryptos.

It is normal since the market value of bitcoin always fluctuates in the market. Therefore no one know when it will goes up or down.
The important thing is we should always look positive and grab this opportunity to buy more bitcoins at lower price to obtain more bitcoin. Sooner or later all your sacrifices and efforts will be worth it and paid-off.

You are asking what is going on? I can answer all that is an ongoing event and that is the isto name that fixes their profit.
That's all I can answer. It will be next BTC hard fork in next month so 5-7 days later people will start buying BTC BTC again to get BTC hardfork again and gain profit before X-mas.

Right. I'm actually surprised that it bounced back pretty quickly as well. As many people keep saying, with how high the market cap rose and the pace it took to get there, these dips are healthy and shouldn't cause concern.
