I have worked in manufacturing before, I know how not having one part can delay an entire product line. I also have full confidence that BFL has not tried to mislead anyone at any time. How come when the competition ran into a problem the company owner manned up and said GDit, I F'd up and I'm sorry. We screwed the pooch and it will derail our project for at least 90 days. Here's where you request a refund.
...but when BFL announces one of their many delays it always seems to be just a minor speed bump easily absorbed by our ample padding. At least until the new shipping date arrives, then it'll just be a couple more weeks...etc. Yet we know they don't have chips nor will they have chips two months after their initial shipping date has passed. That ain't just a minor snag, that's a list of who's being fired first at most companies.

Then it is going to be AT-LEAST another 30 days from when the toolmaker receives the plans and that is the time it takes in Asia got get a mold tool ready.(and that would be a GOOD tool maker, right first time)
Then proofing (1 week)+ final polishing (1-2 weeks) depending on external finish.
Can you get me side pictures, without me having to log into BFL, so I can see how many sliding cores (if any) the tool may need.
