It is a little bit unlikely to gain profit of 100x on an altcoin nowadays, unless that coin hits the sweet spot for mass adoption. Crypto currency multiverse is full of possibilities and impossibilities. I am speculating to see a 100x coin on a master node and POS coin because of the rewards it generates on a daily basis. For example, if that master node coin has a 1000%+ ROI per year, and the price is still the same, that would mean your coin has been multiplied by a whopping 1000%+. But, such coins are high risk, so you should be wise on how to manage these types of investment.
I think it quite hard to find the altcoin like you ask. Maybe you should try new altcoin that launch, then you can trade it many times repeatedly to gain profit. from my analysis now, there no altcoin that has potential to give you 100x profit in one year. Don't invest in one altcoin, you should divide your capital into 5 or 3 altcoins.
I personally tend to the new crypto, yes altcoin which just got away from ico. some of the investments that I am in the 1-year period are paying off. for example, utrust and there are a few more that make me benefit. this is how we try to see every opportunity in investment profits.
And why ask on the forum if there are many sites where they write the probability that the alt is not Scam
I think this needs to look at the whole trend of encrypting the world. If we keep maintaining such a downward trend, it is very difficult to find 100X coins. If there are big consortia or important events in the second half of this year, there will be lots of 100X coins.

with this behavior of market , it's nearly impossible to make 100x, those days GONE . you should start looking for reasonable target profit .for example, oyster and coss has some potential for 10x (only when market recovers).
low cap market and low cap price like xvg pre-2016-2017 (price 2-10 sats) have a better chance, in my opinion, to get 100x. I would pick neo & ethereum last year holder were happy to have held it for long term therefore if you are in search of alt to hold for a year those two will be own personal choice.

btw, EOS, NEO, OMG, ETH, XLM are my top favorite coin for long term. They are all ambition projects with very strong team

In order to get 100x returns, you should look at coins which are priced under 0.05$ because they are the ones which actually have the potential to grow. One such coin which I feel has all the potential in the world is IOSToken. I am not just saying it because I am endorsing them, but because this coin has all the ingredients required to make it big. This is the reason why i have personally invested in this coin.
Its ICO price was 0.01$ and the current price is 0.05. It is listed almost everywhere and has a huge daily trading volume.

I would go for the ethereum because it is the queen of crypto next to the bitcoin and also i do believe that their will be a pump for the ethereum i am just waiting for that to happen so lets just wait and be patient

I am suggesting REMME coin to everyone but I dont think that it will go 100x this year but may next year for sure.
Actaully 100x for any coin in the market is huge leap forward as it will need 100x times greater market cap and volume to achieve those levels which they are having currently.
One thing sure about the REMME Project that they are getting good volume these days and they have risen almost 2x last week and it is predicted from the current raised volume that REMME might just go 10x the current value. So it might be good coin to think of.
