This is the inflow of funds that do move the market up and that inflow should be expected when bitcoin is full enough. I like the slow but consistent steady grow the market is having this days and that makes it good for all of us to be part of it if we take the right investment decision now.

as far as I know this year the altcoin is very weak and there are no different changes with 2017, the BTC price rises by itself and maybe the altcoin will catch up but with a long time.

Altcoin does look very slow in growth. But this became a very positive thing. Because Altcoin has given hope to recover again. So the Altcoin that has been saved since long will certainly start to grow well. As the altcoins that I hold now have grown and this the remaining coins of the year 2018.

It's okay and do not afraid time has come to altcoins moving up its better to seen slow growth moving than to seen in thr red signal don't worry bitcoin staynstrong possible altcoin will goes up in the right time.
People here are not afraid since market is doing good, the thing is they are just curious why only Bitcoin grows while altcoins stay low,but these days we can see the balance movement already because altcoins from Ethereum to top 100 ,most of them are growing with the number 1 coins Bitcoin so in totality we’re in good mood of marketing nowadays

The graph provided is a little strange because when Bitcoin rises with a sample height of 10%, the growth of altcoin is only limited to 3-5% but if there is a correction to Bitcoin even though only 1% sometimes the altcoin falls very deeply and we can compare several altcoins with price increase at the end of 2017 with the current price of how the comparison occurred and my question is whether if the price of Bitcoin returns to $ 15,000 altcoin will also return to that price again I don't think it will.

A bit confusing your post but I think I get you, and I'm in the same frame of thought. It's actually quite easy to see even from the past 18 months of charts. But let's look at a even shorter timeframe, from January til today which is almost 5 months. Bitcoin has done a x2 and even almost x3. Few altcoins have done this. ETH is one of them.

So in the mind, it's the same performance. But BTC in Jan was 15% of ATH and today it is 40% of ATH. ETH was 6% of ATH and today is 18% of ATH.

So there's the proof. I don't think altcoins can recover UNTIL BTC makes another new ATH.

you first said that the hype have died and now you are suggesting that this was the best time to invest for alts ?  Not all alts are pump and dump  ,the hype might died but that does not mean that there will be no hype that will occur in the future  .

This is why we should invest only on those legit altcoins because they still have the potential to recover and pump in the future   . The op is right that alts growth are slow but there is no problem with that  .

Alts suffered because 2017 really was alt season, with ICOs selling out in seconds or minutes, and it seemed like every alt was the next big thing. During the bear market that hype died away, and prices fell acordingly. Many alts fell harder than bitcoin because bitcoin is more established and has a working product, whereas many alts are based on predictions of future products.
This does not mean alts are bad, many of them are great and will become huge. I would say now is a good time to invest in alts as the hype has vanished and prices are more realistic.

That depend on the situation that may affect them but many altcoins have slow growth because their developers are failed to sustain the improvement of the coin. Others might affected by aggressive bitcoin price movement of bitcoin like price surges or sudden price declines. The over all market situation can also affect the growth of altcoins but they eventually recover when the condition improves.

yes, almost all altcoins have the same growth towards the increase or decrease in the price of the bitcoin market. even most altcoins, growth can always follow the price movements of bitcoin. if we see the movement of bitcoin prices to date has not shown a very high jump in price increases, and of course it can affect the growth of most existing altcoins

when i compare the markets with the bullish trend years ago i get a bit confused.
the growth always came along with bitcoin but when i see the altcoin today the growth is a bit (how i might say that...?) ridiculous...
will this change or will the volume still be so low? 24hr highs and lows variated beetween dollars back in the day at 100m coins but
today it grows a few 0,x1-3 at a btc pump and then everything is falling apart back at one little red day. the altcoin market feels a bit like a sick patient to me that trys to get revived by a lot of effort but every little stop its dieing again...
I think because of the correction of the price that's why altcoins still slow to pump, we don't be hurry about this because every thing will take time to grow but surely it will be good for everyone. Just focus to what we do not just in the price.

I think the altcoins not grow because is not a bull run like we have last time.
Would say it was a crypto rush on any coin back then. This feels more a btc run where alt coins trying to catch up over longer time spans.

mostly it is because of the market conditions only and moreover anything the market is developing little by little and if the altcoin is in popular situation then it will definitely growing but it will be little slow when compared to the Bitcoin but mostly the demand will decide the value also to develop.
It is not about the popularity but investors will look into is the profitability of a certain coin which is something can't be seen by now with some altcoins and so we can't expect that it will rise up same with Bitcoin. Now, if you are investing those coins, you'll probably get bored cause it will be in slow and slow.

I would rather say that altcoin market price is currently preparing for altcoin season, which was already started with some indicators. Bitcoin dominance is still very high. I know, i know, Bitcoin is the king, but i think that we will see at least 9% from current point. If you do not watch BTC.D chart on tradingview, you should definetly consider these informations. Interesting chart for you could be TOTAL2 (Total market cap, without BTC) and USDT.D (wich means Tether dominance).
I have been waiting for an altcoins season for some time and it does not happen, while I am happy with the gains I have gotten in fiat thanks to the growth in bitcoin the problem is that I am still holding the same amount of bitcoin and I need alts to begin to grow so I can multiply it, the coin that I am interested the most is ethereum since it is clearly undervalued but the market is not responding, my only guess is that whales are still accumulating ethereum and they are liking the low prices we have now.

Let us forget about 2017 bull run and the fastest growth of the cryptocurrencies altogether. It was the highest hype wave at that time, and it affected negatively many cryptos. It will be better to watch the stable market growth.

Altcoins growth has been taking good over the time, earlier the price didn't grew big when there is good level of growth with bitcoin. Further after the fall in price of bitcoin as well as altcoins the growth seems to take place in a gradual manner. The price growth seems slow, but there is some steady growth.

I think the altcoins not grow because is not a bull run like we have last time, for now i think is better to hold our altcoins and maybe somehow a bull run will start for if we have luck.

This is simple and can be reduced to something very significant, whenever Bitcoin raises the altcoins tend to go down a bit, but if the bitcoinestà bullish trend, the altcoins tend to rise accompanying the bitcoin movement, some movements are reflected in the percentage that the altcoins go up with a gain of 2x, 3x because it is always going to be true that the altcoins depend directly on the bitcoin, and in the same way it happens, if the bitcoin goes down, all the altcoins bleed, this is as a normal consequence of the behavior of the market and often because some investors and market speculators prefer to sell and back their investment in USD if the Bitcoin starts to fall, and start with the strategy of waiting for the lowest peak where they can re-buy so that they have more coins and get them out cheaper.
In that only principle, buying cheap and selling expensive is applied, and in retrospect apart from meeting these market conditions, it is clear that the market is totally based on Supply and Demand Law, where there are whales, stronghhands or institutional money that They are what make the market move to where they want to do it.

Many speak of market manipulation by news or by tweets, by social networks, but I think that all this comes from the moment you decide to speculate in the market with very large market capitalizations.
