I ever persuaded my uncle to invest in crypro when Bitcoin price was still $10k in 2018, but he sold it out of fear of losing a lot of money (the crypto market was bearish at that time)
I had persuaded him to hold the coin for long term investment, but he didn't and sold Bitcoin for $8k, this time he was just surprised to see the Bitcoin price at $62k and he started buying other coins for long term investment.
Currently I have some friends who always participate in IDO on several platforms, I think it will grow and they will educate every friend to trade in crypto and earn profit.

Many parents are too conservative to want to understand cryptocurrencies. They are used to living their own lives and deny everything new and incomprehensible. Probably the best way to let them know that the cryptocurrency market is a great place to earn money, show your profit, withdraw it to fiat. This way it will be clearer for them and they will understand that money can be earned without leaving home.
It's normal when our parents age is more than 50, i'm not blaming them for being denial because they don't even get the digital knowledge when they was young so they would not know digital assets could be worth so much in this current era.
The only way is let them think their own way and don't ask money to them if we want to invest on crypto but earn it by doing airdrops or bounty then the rewards allocate it for further investment.

Crypto is a neophytic fintech industry and most people, maybe 75% or so, can never wrap their heads around it. To some people its gibberish. Yet to some folks like us, its a walk in the park(assuming you don't stumble or fall into the many pits laid around by scammers and other bad actors).
The term in crypto is not used friendly and if you are not versed in tech terms, you would give up the interest. Those old folks don't get those terms, that's the truth

Right, this is a new type of fintech that is difficult to understand, I often tell about crypto to my co-workers and whatsapp groups, most of them find it difficult to understand and don't believe it because they think it's like HYIP or gambling, parents have strict considerations for spending money even for investment, Of course we have to think positively with them.

You can try to get your parents to use your account to do this again. If they see that they have made money, they will believe and maybe join the cryptocurrency market.
Many older parents are not open-minded and are not easy to accept new things. Because they have their own habits.

I think, high risk and volatility is not what prevents them from investing, because they can start with small amounts. If the problem is high risk, low investment will be the solution for them, still they are not interested in it. maybe the times are different finally parents are not interested in crypto, parents are trained with exchanges they have studied for years, so they don't want to learn crypto because they are afraid of the risks, unlike the stock exchanges they have studied, they already understand the risks involved actually,

My parents are not middle aged anymore, they are already retired but still they have heard about bitcoins and crypto currencies. My family knows that I am involved with cryptos for years now and they keep asking me about it regularly. There is definitely some interest about the new asset class but investing they don't want. My family holds most of their money in cash at the bank which is the worst kind of investment right now. They don't get any interest and have to pay fees and lose money due to inflation. I don't know how to convince them to invest into cryptos. Going straight for alt coins might be a bit risky, but atleast buying some bitcoins would be a good thing for the. Everytime I see my uncle he keeps asking me about bitcoins, he is very interested, but everytime I ask him if he wants to invest a little, he just says in the future. Hard to know why he is still afraid because prices went up so much offer the last years. It would be nice if we can get more older people involved with cryptos.

in general, not everyone understands about cryptoqurrency, about bitcoin, about blockchain technology, what benefits are generated and so on. but I have faith that someday people will say regret that they didn't get to know crypto in the first place. . in the same case when I regretted not buying BTC,altcoin etc, when it was cheap since it was first released.

1. It's virtual, so most of the parents can't be convinced to use cryptos because they can't prove it "physically" to other people from what I have talked to other "old" people in my city. The feeling of having stuff virtually and physically are so different, so it does makes sense why they refuse to invest in cryptos.
2. Risk of losing. They know of how volatile the cryptos and they don't bother to take the risk of losing their money.
3. It's used in "criminal" crimes. That statement let alone already explained. Their mindset already focused with cryptos = criminal crimes and etc.

Investing in shitcoins is too risky. Even buying Bitcoin in a bull market is risky, you get rich quick, or get poor quick if you buy and enter a bear market. As you are almost 100% sure that once a new bull cycle begins, the price will not fall to such lows again. You can't say the same about an alt that can fall to the ground at any moment. This is not logical because they have much better experience than us, and they can understand, but we need to give them some better and positive of way of education about this all.I know many peoples those love innovative concepts and love to invest things like this, but they worried because they have no proper education and knowledge about this all, so they never give try but still few peoples jumps with all hurdles as well but have some good end of their this journey. In many families we have very good system if someone have new thing he tries to give all information to them, and they have good involvement.
