The thing is that cryprocurrency is unpredictable so just know the type of coin you want to hold onto and invest. There are more genuine coins in the crypto market so there's no need to fear

I need advice on alternative currencies to purchase before btc rallies above 8000 usd.. anything among the top 100 coins on coinmarketcap will so just fine
Since you are asking for crypto that is already among the top 100 coins then why not go with,
ETH, DASH ,LTC ,and stellar this is the great crypto to invest for me but you should do your own research before investing and take our words as a suggestion you should decide for your own.
Do a research about the coin though there are many suggestions, you have to decide which is the better. Most of potential altcoins are those that exist for a long run. Though the price is unpredictable, it always get the rise from the cheap price, just wait for the good time to gain profit.

Asking for suggestions about what altcoins to buy is not the best for you because anything that happen afterwards you'll be the one responsible for it so its better you do your own research about the available altcoins on the market and select the ones you think are good for you to invest in
It is true that it is better to do your own research about the coins you are going to buy because, as is well known, the nature of coins is unpredictable and has advantages and disadvantages of each.
Asking for advice is a good thing but we must have our own commitment and of course before we start investing in Crypto first to understand the risks and benefits.

Never seek advice, when it comes to what to do with your own money/coins and where to invest them.
Nobody is going to give you a really valuable advice for free, and most of the people might trick you into buying some coins that might go down.Just do your own research and don't pay attention to other people's opinions.

It is good to ask an advice on what to do if you are new to the industry but it should be given by a financial advisor or anyone that has a full knowledge about that industry.  Asking is your bestfriend and it is all free if you are lost or hesitant about something and need some input regarding the matter.  Of course OP must weigh and do his own reaserch before jumping on any of the advice or suggestion here.

@OP as I said, it is best to look for a coin/token that have a proven track record, which means they have a very active developer, have huge communty, have good trading volume and have a promising upcoming project update.  I won't endorse any coins or token but you must look for it yourself.  If you want big profit you need to work hard on it  Wink.

seeking a piece of advice is not bad. but he should decide on his own and only his own judgment.
though he can get sound advice yet he should do his own due diligence. nothing is fulfilling if you do it on your own

I don't get it, why before it goes up over 8k? what do you think is gonna happen after it goes past that price? Actually, it already touched that mark and went above it to almost 8.5k, like, last week  Huh

Anyways, you can't wrong with classics:

Ethereum
Litecoin
NEO
Monero

I would keep an eye out for Dash, it's been going up by a lot recently, I would wait until the uptrend stops to buy some before the next altcoin rally hits the market.

That's a very bad question. Everyone has their own favorites and everyone chooses coins to invest based on their preferences. So yourself have to decide what to buy. It will be better for you.

That's basically it. Ask what to invest in here and invariably you'll get an answer of: Invest in *whatever someone else is holding*

Doesn't mean they are right or wrong, just that it's kind of useless information.

If I had to give an objective opinion, I might say litecoin due to the upcoming halvening, but it's probably too early to buy now. And maybe ETH on a longterm hold, but ETH could crash way before 2.0 comes along. Or BTC goes insane (its own halvening will occur first).

Or who knows... throw a dart at a list of coins and the odds are it'll be as right as anyone's suggestions here.

I will agree to what you have said, when this kind of question raise here, most of those replies will be according to each of us opinions and base to our solely holds assets, it will never have a clear directions aside from how will OP take each responses around here, it is mostly need to be done with high
confidence to locate and researched each projects that has been offered inside the cmc, it will be wiser to choose inside the top 20 coins after reviewing each projects offered usages,.

Bitcoin did over $8000 already. If you are looking to invest  now, I must say you are late. Good investors have already taken their positions when the price was still low. I won't advice anyone to invest now, unless in alts like Ethereum but that will be for a very long term hold.
The topic of discussion is about altcoin not the price of bitcoin.. I only talked about bitcoin, because each time there's an increase in the price.. alternative coins follow the trend of value

Why should I tell you any specific coins? You can access the website coinmarketcap and see what altcoin received the smallest decline relative to bitcoin. And among the top 100 to choose the most suitable.

With an investment in strong altcoins like LITECOIN, ETHEREUM and similar from the top 20 of the coinmarketcap you do well. Price will grow over time, it's a matter of time.
I'm trying to invest in the main horse cryptocurrencies, which is of course BITCOIN. It's never too late, so you can invest in the top 20 coins now.

I bought several altcoins that have proven to be great, that is, of course Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin and Cardano. I bought with $ 1200 this week. Because I think the market conditions will continue to improve and price growth will increase significantly when bitcoin rises to the top. But you can choose according to your own strategy and analysis, because I have my own strategy and observation. Not from other people's opinions. Good luck, friend.

if you ask here surely everyone has a different answer because they have their favorite altcoin. It does not guarantee that altcoins in the top 100 will be fine, because crypto is volatile where prices can change significantly over time. so my suggestion is to examine more deeply about the altcoin that you want to invest better.

The most useful answer for OP.

However, I will add my own advice Grin.
If you want to secure your investments as much as possible, buy not only from the top 100. Low-cap coins have great potential. Of course, most investments (>50%) should be in Bitcoin, Ethereum and in something big that you believe.
