Why not incorporate a few new altcoin and altcoin there are already user base and reputation to create flexibility and plan that suits the situation of the market. PHI, SFU, AMN, XRP. The idea of the new platform is promising and practical in the overall development of the market.
I think ripple and stellar might the best choice for altcoin under $1, recently ripple has gain a lot of positive trends. And 1 more advice, i think you should take a look at new ICO's . There is many potential ICO this year, and you can find two or three of it on some web that reviewing ICO's
So you really say the truth, you definitely need to do research. I think if you buy ADA then it will be a very good investment. ADA has all chances to grow this year. I think this investment will bring you big profits.

Ripple - The 3rd largest crypto currency. Ripple improves speed, liquidity and transparency of global payments and thus the ripple protocol has been increasingly adopted by banks.
Depends how long you want to hold, but I'm long in Ravencoin. I agree that a lot are tied to BTC right now, so some of the more popular ones may be able to move quicker in the short term (and long term perhaps), but getting in on the ground floor of some of the cheaper coins with great use cases and communities is another way to go about it.
Hello! Guys I am looking for coin under 1$ with some good Basics. maybe some coin that I can hold for 2 to 3 year. Am planning to add some more folios? All the suggestion are Open. 
There is new potential coin called CEDEX, it just listing on IDEX but it's not offcial listing, it will be listed in big exchange by middle of june.
And i think it will 3-5x price in a couple months.

I think TIO or trade tokens is very nice altcoin to invest now, because the price of is not so high and it is very affordable for many people and i think that if we will buy TIO now i am sure that we can make many money from it in the future
Yes, cheap altcoins now - an excellent option for investment. But do not forget that most of them will not make a big profit even if bitcoin will grow. Buy should only the most promising tokens, for example, TRON, NEO and others.
Many altcoins are available to invest bellow $1 price. my advice is to you investigate yourself and study about it, check there market cap and there project details,example reoadmaps, and how they delivery the products and is it great team behind the project etc... . Altocoin will give you better return investment.
I am sure that investors should invest some of their funds in altcoin, as there is a chance that some of these coins will increase in price in the future. Therefore, you can earn a lot of money on this!
When making decisions on investments, the unit price of the coin is not important. The important thing while forecasting what value the price can reach is the marketcap. Be careful on this mate.

Just because a coin is under $1 doesn't mean it will have a great return or become bitcoins price all it mean is that it will have great volatility.
In my opinion PRL, XVG, SIA, IOTA.
I suppose it is better not to look for super low prices, but make a market research on which cheap coins have good market capitalization and offers real utility for the community, so you could be sure in such coin liquidity.
yes, I also initially thought that the low priced coin can give better return than the priced coins. But the fact is not true in general.
