Based on my observations on the market Cryptocurrency coin that approached Bitcoin is Ehereum, Litecoin, Ripple.
The coin is also well known to be a good altcoin.
Although its value cannot beat Bitcoin but Altcoin is believed to have a good popularity.

Like most have said, it is Ethereum that comes next to bitcoin. Dash and BCH have also been on the rise
Ethereum will surprise us in the near future. It’s capitalization was really close to btc’s and it will repeat.
It’s easy, you do the deep research and invest a lot of time finding the perfect ICO to invest. I’ve been searching the internet, just to find the right one. The best ICO so far (2018) is the Coinnup project!

We know ethereum is worth after bitcoin, but I think there are some good alt and potentially future.
Litecoin,Monero,Neo,Dash can be an option.

Ethereum is the next bitcoin, it is the most stable altcoin and consistently rising. As we can see while all coins are in red ethereum keeps going up. I guess it is the most promising altcoin. It has the potential of being the next big thing in cryptocurrency.

Most people argue next to Bitcoin is Ethreum. I also think so ETH is more popular among other altcoins. The advantages of ETH from other altcoins are ETH Easy in its use either in receiving or sending ETH tokens, and ETH can also Receive and hold the ALTCOIN Token that is SUpport ERC20 and ERC 223.

BTC is still king, not any alt.
in my opinion the most preferred besides BTC, ETH champion to the two most in search. not because of the price of its coins, because all bounty payments using ETH and ETH are easy to mine.
BTC is indeed the main benchmark of Crypto Coins, but I prefer ETH.

Altcoinis a alternative to bitcoin and used to describe any cryptocurrency that is not a bitcoin. It can differ from bitcoin in a range of ways. Some have different e onomic model or different coin distribution that will given away to all citizens of a country. And there are also altcoins that serve specific non monetory use cases like domain name registry.
As for now I can offer eth for it is accepted worldwide. It's price now crash but it will back again in the future for it was next to bitcoin territory in crypto views of altcoins that next to bitcoin. That is my predictions, and assumptions to bitcoin next in the future.

Altcoin which is next to Bitcoin and accepted throughout the World is Ethereum. It just seems to me and does not know my answer is wrong or true. Maybe someone can add another Altcoin. 
I think Altcoin is alternativecoin which means coins other than bitcoin. The purpose of this altcoin is to cover the weaknesses of bitcoin which is the limitation describing each cryptocurrency one of which is ETH

I think the market will recover quickly only takes about a month.when that I do not know, that definitely the month will come in this year.
