When you checked those coins, that time bull was totally end and bear run was almost middle of its whole duration according to my analysis. That's why those coins were down which is common because of the bear effect, this is good crypto market work. Now This is bull which is trying to active in crypto market and thats why altcoins are pump a lot by price. Altcoins you mentioned ETH, ADA &  all are in good position. Only tron is still stucking and struggling for decent pump like before
Everything is working very well in the market, it's just that some projects are in the development stage and there are some projects that have died because they cannot meet the needs of technological developments in the crypto market itself so it is very unfortunate that some projects die and some projects experience slow growth, I hope for ADA itself to surprise.
Speaking of the market, I think it is enough and BTC will experience a correction for some time and return to being better after the correction phase is over, but if you pay attention to the market, it has a psychological desire to continue to be positive after this halving and altcoins may be a solution to the transfer of wealth from bitcoin to altcoins and altseason can be achieved.

Watching the current market and the demise of ALL crypto ... is this the end for certain coins?

How do people think the likes of ETH, ADA, XRP, TRON etc will go from here?

Based on the crypto market in April 2024, ETH likely remains firmly within the top 2 cryptocurrencies. ADA, XRP, and TRON could potentially still hold positions within the top 20 altcoins, though the altcoin market is highly competitive. It's natural for some projects to decline in value or even disappear, particularly those that lack real-world utility or offer nothing beyond 'pump and dump' schemes – often referred to as 'shitcoins'.
All altcoins will not be the same. There are some altcoins without which the crypto market would never have gained so much popularity. Ether is definitely a potential altcoin. It is considered as the 2nd coin after Bitcoin. The coin has already gained confidence from investors across the board. Many smart contracts have already been created using this platform. If these coins didn't exist I don't think any altcoins would exist. In this bull market, if the coin is allowed to enter the ETF market, I expect its value and investor base to increase even more. Ether, SOL, ADA, BNB these coins will hold the top position among altcoins.

Maybe  Grin
This is a bearish era where all cryptocurrencies are struggling for survival. The best will survive, and the least will be dead because of this bearish market that will be still ongoing. This is not new. many new projects or coins with low cap or volume may be easy to die and cannot survive.
But, for certain coins, this becomes the era to buy more and hold them for the long term until the bullish era is coming. Why? because some of those altcoins may be able to survive, struggle, and develop even during this bearish market. They will also follow the Bitcoin rate, which is actually very dropped, those altcoins will be also dropped. But, as long as they can survive, commonly worthy altcoins are able to rise up and reach their ATH again in the future.
But, for what coins? I am not sure, because none can predict it exactly.
We can see from the past bearish market where Ethereum also had very dramatic drops until this can go higher and higher again due to the bullish market
The surviving period is challenging because it couple with the network congestion of the two main altcoins in the cryptocurrency. As for me even now I didn't see it as the bear market and if you look well it is still at the bull market because Ethereum has not hit $3,568.80 before and I believed this is the first time of it reaching this rate. So investors are still on the lucky side but the main problem from my end is the congestion which is affecting people to withdraw and make transaction with the networks. And No I can't tell anyone to buy Ethereum and Solana now because the transaction fee is high than the amount you will even buy so there is no need for that. I wasted $12 to get $30 dollar or their about.

And as it is if the network congestion is over then one can acquire enough of them and wait for the Bull Market.
We do really have that so called market cycle on which it would really be that something that shows up those shifts when it comes to value or prices with those coins/tokens that we do have in the market.
It would really be survival of the fittest and to those who cant be able to make out then there's nothing we can do about it. It all matters with demand and recognition on which this would really be something that would really be driving the price up high and this is something inevitable. We cant really be just having a dumping market forever on which if theres a bearish market then we do have that bull in opposite.
Altcoins dead? If we do see their dominance in correlated with Bitcoin then we can really say that there's really a demand.

Market cant really just that circles around with bitcoin but well it would really be upto you whether you would really dealing up with those coins and having some diversification
or would really be sticking completely to Bitcoin.

Aside from TRON, I also have that same sentiment, ADA, XRP, and ETH still have that capabilities to keep their positions, with the current pumped for sure those who manage to buy those coins before or while the market still down, they are now seeing good development and a possibilities that they already selling something decent now.

It's just a matter of timing and how you trust the coin that you'll going to invest your money, crypto aside from Bitcoin still gaining attention and still have that big chance to bring decent benefits for investors who loves to explore and take the risk.

Not all AltCoins has gone on demise and not all AltCoins is subjected their markets values in hyping. Talking about hyping coins then you should be insight that on the MemeCoins which goes on extinction after period of trends.
You can always exempt the ETH from the listed Coins because they do not share the value reliabilities.
I can also attest to it that the rest of the coin which you think may be demised by now are far better gaining their values having the crypto market exciting by investors who holds on with the Coins.
So they still remains active and gaining more weights in the market cap.

Any Altcoin can die, except Ethereum. It can be said that Ethereum is too big to be fail, and I believe it will get back on track quickly. All market data is showing that Ethereum is still being collected very strongly by MM for a long time. The price is not increasing with the purpose to discourage retail investors, make them to sell the Ethereum they are holding. I believe that the upcoming ETH ETF news in May will be a strong canaryst for the price explosion of ETH. Besides, the capitalization of ETH is quite large, so investing in it should be determined as a long-term investment, rather than a short-term investment because the profits may not be as good as low-cap Altcoins in short term. Ethereum is always a safe coin in my investment portfolio next to Bitcoin.

Ethereum should be classified above altcoins as it's a solid project after Bitcoin. No individual should be afraid of investing in ethereum as it won't be like other altcoins that will scam you. Ethereum is a fundamental projects with a lot of developers working on ethereum to make it into a better project. Many altcoins are dead and they're going to be more altcoin that'll be dying very soon as other altcoins will be hyped over than are getting launched as we enter the bull market.

Some high cap altcoins can also die therefore don't think that as a project has a high cap that it can't die. Altcoins can die anytime they stop getting hyped as altcoin pump mainly on hype. Investing in altcoins should be done with caution so we don't invest into an altcoin that is dying or already dead and only waiting for investors it can make them to lose their money before it gets delisted from exchanges.

I've been in the crypto space since 2013 but followed it since 2012 and I have seen so many coins come and go. Some which had incredibly promising tech being developed never completed their products and went the way of the dodo.

ICOs were a great funding mechanism for a lot of coins but got hit with regulatory scrutiny. Then came other innovative ways to raise funds web3 style like presales, IDOs, IEOs, etc. Even TradFi got involved with funding when VCs started getting involved.

At the end of the day, raising money for altcoins is a lot of work in an increasingly crowded field, and a lot of teams dont have the budget.

AI and DePIN are taking up most of the attention after memecoins. Gaming was the big one last bull but this time I think it's coming secondary to these. A lot of interest is in tokenizing RWAs.

Where are you now? why not check the market now to see how much those coins have increased from 2022 when you created this thread.
also try not to look down in crypto coins specially when you are talking in good projects such you mentioned.
now we can see that altcoins are still alive and indeed going better than that year.

I know that the top 5 altcoins and some up coming altcoins will not die even in this trying time. And the only thing I know it will not take time for them to rise again. And I also invested in Ethereum thinking that the price will do well but Irony caught me up. Ethereum just became a stable coin overnight and refuse to rise up again and stay only in $3+k with it high transaction fee. But even at that it will not die. And that is why when you Investing in any cryptocurrency, don't invest in short term but in long term investment so that you will not face the disappointment. Ethereum has shown to us that it is not good for short term but for long term.

As we experience any fall in a shitcoin, there are more coins that are created or yet to be created. All altcoins cannot die or crash, there will always be new ones to replace the shitcoins. I believe after Ethereum ETF approval, the coin will hit a new ATH because it has potential of breaking it old ATH. However let's keep a close watch on the market to observe the price movement after the price correction. All these kind of questions are the fact that prove that altcoin investment is indeed very risky, just pray you don't get to deal with the wrong coin, and do your own research before taking any coin for investment.

Ethereum continue to be the most popular altcoin which give people a lot of different opporutunities. So it is very difficult to say that altcoins are dead.

Not only etheruem but there are also lots of other successful altcoins because of which people are in profit and once altcoins gets dead then only bitcoin will be there for investment. People often wants to invest in altcoins because they wants quick profit which bitcoin cannot offer.

Altcoins cannot be dead because new and new altcoins are emerging and they are all very successful from the start  so as the time passes there will occur more growth in their success.

Dump does not suggest that altcoins are dead so invest during dump because Ethereum is the king of altcoins and even other altcoins become dead it cannot become a dead coin.

     What is often said is that Bitcoin is dead. and now altcoins are dead? The top 100 altcoins cannot be said to die as long as there are supportive communities and buyers of their coins;
their existence will continue in the crypto space.

Especially this bull season, I see a lot of potential that can really give us profit in the end as long as we persevere in holding and don't let go. So what you mentioned will continue 100%.

At any time there will be an altcoin that dies, maybe it is still listed on an exchange but it is only a small exchange with low volume and the developer has stopped continuing to develop the altcoin so it is only a matter of time until the altcoin disappears from circulation and its holders have actually experienced losses for a long time.
However, coins that are more stable will continue to survive and will only die when the developer abandons the project or when many of the things they do no longer make their holders happy and new projects that emerge with good potential will make a change in the altcoin market.

The concept of altcoins will always exist due to Bitcoin's open source nature. But I agree that some of the altcoins we know and love today, will no longer exist in the future. That's because some developers are not willing to continue supporting their projects for the long term. Around 90% of altcoins will die, while the rest will survive.

I'd advise you to choose an altcoin that suits you best depending on your needs. As long as you don't invest more than what you can't afford to lose, there should be nothing to worry about. Ultimately, Bitcoin will remain the "King of Crypto" for as long as it lives. Altcoins can't beat the real thing. Cheesy

Altcoins can't be dead because most it has real life applications that users are utilizing accordingly as required to perform a specific tasks, ETH has proven to be one of the best it has stayed a test of time without been dump, and is on the second position in the market cap. Am convinced if Bitcoin existence continue ETH will also live.
We can be having a good time ensuring we stack up huge pieces of these altcoin and get ready for the bull season which is halfway here. The existence of bitcoin should always be our priority in the space, ensure we're gathering the basis of the market. We have promising altcoins in the market and they have proven to be promising in these past season and the current. It's our tasks to  always been available to fall in good spot in the market. Altcoins are not dead, they have the deserved concentration been channeled by investors and traders.

From my viewpoint, it's important to avoid writing off altcoins entirely, despite recent challenges. While the current market downturn is significant, it doesn't necessarily spell the end for altcoins. It's crucial to distinguish between temporary setbacks and permanent decline. Altcoins continue to play vital roles in the cryptocurrency ecosystem, with many projects actively evolving and innovating. Reflecting on past market fluctuations, such as the crypto crash, offers perspective on the resilience of altcoins. Despite facing obstacles, there's still potential for recovery and growth, making altcoins an intriguing investment option for those comfortable with market volatility.
