At any time there will be an altcoin that dies, maybe it is still listed on an exchange but it is only a small exchange with low volume and the developer has stopped continuing to develop the altcoin so it is only a matter of time until the altcoin disappears from circulation and its holders have actually experienced losses for a long time.
However, coins that are more stable will continue to survive and will only die when the developer abandons the project or when many of the things they do no longer make their holders happy and new projects that emerge with good potential will make a change in the altcoin market.

Altcoins can't be dead because most it has real life applications that users are utilizing accordingly as required to perform a specific tasks, ETH has proven to be one of the best it has stayed a test of time without been dump, and is on the second position in the market cap. Am convinced if Bitcoin existence continue ETH will also live.

Do not judge people entirely even as I agree with most of what you stated here. The final verdict as far as I'm concerned is that altcoins are not dead and are very much alive and will remain so as long as the cryptocurrency industry is alive. Many ascribe too much importance to Bitcoin alone, but to those who don't conclude based on that, it might be that they are just frustrated about how the altcoins are behaving at times. I respect their fear because altcoins could be so discouraging to the extent that some people might regret ever investing their money in them.

Imagine investing a big amount in altcoins in 2021 and you saw some of your assets depreciating more than 20 times. How would you feel? And this time when Bitcoin is almost hitting back it's ATH while most altcoins are still nowhere to be found, what do you think, again? That's why people's arguments could be very valid in some schools of thought. But nevertheless, altcoins are not dead, only that investors must fully understand them first before investing in them, and they must be very careful to know the time they will liquidate their portfolio because they are too volatile. So, during the bearish season, one shouldn't slack in doing the needful, or else, it will amount to significant losses.

Nice word...

Altcoin price fluctuations are very high, making it one of the trading transactions that is classified as highly speculative.
The roller coaster-like movement requires strong mental preparedness, especially for novice investors.
Investing in Altcoins is like a double-edged sword. Besides being able to provide multiple profits, price fluctuations and investment in this instrument can also have a negative impact on investors' mental health, especially when they lose their investment funds.

If people who know about the cryptocurrency market are known for their volatility, then there are no wild assumptions that say altcoins die. Moreover, altcoins such as ETH, ADA, XRP, and TRON have been tested on the market and have strong fundamentals, so they will not die. For example XRP, even though the problems they experienced were so severe, in fact, until now XRP has survived and has not died.
Only desperate people say that altcoins are dead, that maybe they can't get what they want as previously thought, or that they are too ambitious. because, until now, altcoins are still being traded and have become a commodity that is highly sought after as an attractive investment. There are many altcoins that have great potential and continue to trade well, such as ethereum, BNB, SOL, ADA, etc., and many benefit from the faithful trading they do.Don't believe what they say because they are actually looking for an opportunity to buy as much as possible from those who panic.
I agree with you that people who don't get their wishes often say that altcoins are dead. Usually people like that have no principles and tend to want to get instant profits without wanting to go through the process. In fact, if only they knew that the top 10 altcoins on CMC are altcoins that have great opportunities to be used as investments to gain profits in the short and long term.

Watching the current market and the demise of ALL crypto ... is this the end for certain coins?

How do people think the likes of ETH, ADA, XRP, TRON etc will go from here?
Seeing that the crypto market is currently crashing, all coins have fallen so drastically that it is even difficult to follow market movements, there will be almost no more altcoins that will have active movements.
with a very low decline, many traders are taking a break to follow the market wave which is down, after I saw that the altcoins you hold are all in the top coin category and have been trending at one time, we hope that this year the market changes will recover quickly, so We can already look for profits like in 2017.

altcoins will not die, because technology is all there, so we will always see altcoins, but not all altcoins will survive because most of the altcoins are scams and other things that do not make the project last long.
I absolutely agree with you, altcoins are new branches of development in the crypto industry, new concepts, technologies and unique functions, in addition to those provided by Bitcoin. You should pay more attention to the latest altoins, sometimes by investing in them, you can increase your capital several times.

Though the market at this point might be encouraging but that does not mean that altcoin is dead, the price of altcoin is been controlled by bitcoin uptrend, so you don't expect altcoin to increase in their price when bitcoin is still hovering and fluntuating between the price of 40k to 44k in the recent days, people tends to become more interested to invest in other cryptocurrency when bitcoin appreciates in price, if you can remember when bitcoin entered 49k earlier this year some people started making more profits in their existing altcoins and shitcoins, I believe most of them invested more, so op, this how this things works.

There are more investors who focused with shorting alt projects believing that when the time Bitcoin starts to pump up the market will be good and they will manage to earn a lot, and by looking at the current trend it seems that the movement is favoring those investors who collects good quality alts as the value is now moving upwards.

It's more on how you do your research and how you trust the system, the more you engage yourself the more you will anticipate what directions the market will proceed.

Take time and try to sort around, there are still good assets that you can buy and hold for future investment.

Ethereum continue to be the most popular altcoin which give people a lot of different opporutunities. So it is very difficult to say that altcoins are dead.

No never dead altcoins because  after BTC halving than again shining to altcoins hopefully.
I'm with you on this, and with the few I've seen in the crypto market in the last 1 year, I can't but conclude that no coin/token should be underestimated and we should pray for luck as that is what will even help us to choose correctly. Not the expertise per se. Fine, the expertise is good, but the choice of the best coin/token to choose is far beyond, this is more of a mystery to me as the most trusted coins/tokens could fail you in this dispensation, while the ones you are fearful of or underrated might be the most performing ones.

The supposedly dead coins resurrected last year, and they moved more than x10 in most cases, while the ones that we trusted the most, and also with the best utility and projects failed to move more. So, no one should conclude that any coin/token is dead, but instead, look closer and follow as many as possible coins/token, and when you realise they are being resuscitated, it can't hurt to take a bite of them by buying them no matter how little.

More surprises are however coming as we approach the post-halving season anytime from April where huge bullish movements are being expected, and the movements of altcoins in this regard are often scary during the altcoin season. This is when you see the supposedly dead coins/tokens putting the best speculators to shame.

I don't think there is a problem with all the altcoins you mentioned because all of them currently have many investors and large daily volume. especially ETH, because ETH is the king of altcoins and there is no doubt about investing in this altcoin. The decline in the price of altcoins may be caused by unfavorable market conditions, and perhaps you should check the current price of altcoins again.

now in February 2024, altcoins are already growing rapidly, altseason is about to start, I'm sure eth, tron and others will be very useful for the future, that's my opinion and it's impossible for altcoins that there will be new altcoins and new narratives

It's unlikely these coins will die, the top alts can still surprise us. But I would also advise to choose more stable ones like TFS. They usually have high APY, thanks to which you can survive any bearishness

Are Altcoins dead? This question is not easy to answer, because the cryptocurrency market is a very volatile one and there are many ways to capitalize and invest in isolated coins.

One can't just conclude that altcoins are dead. We still have a lot of altcoin doing well in the crypto space recently. Just that one need to be very careful in chosing which of the altcoin to invest in.

I think I would not blame someone being pessimistic on alternative currencies, to be honest, specially if such person has invested much of their time in project which have never given the expected results. It just takes to give a look at the story of most of the alternative currencies to realize that a very high percentage of them get flatlined and lose their relevance in a very short period of time after their release in the markets.
Truly useful and innovative alternative currencies will never be dead, cryptocurrencies are assets which are backed by code, by technology and technology never ceases to expand and reach new limits.
One just need to be careful what currencies are actually worth our attention and stay away from scams and shitcoins of all sorts. Even currencies which may appear to be legitimate and very solid at first glance, could be just shitcoins very good at keeping a facade, for example, we have what happened to the terra-luna ecosystem, which instead providing a reliable stablecoin without backing, they ruined lifes.

Because the fundamentals, trends, and growth of cryptocurrency markets change from day to day. It is important to have a sense of your own goals and risk management capabilities.
not all altcoins can survive because only a small part can survive. Competition in the crypto market is very tight, we can see that many new projects appear every day. only altcoins with high utility and can attract the attention of investors can survive, and most other altcoins will slowly die.
