altcoins are not dead, but most of them will die because there are so many altcoins that have no real usecase and are just created to make a profit and take advantage of fomo only, as far as the projects I see after a few years 9 out of 10 projects I see will dead, only 1 survives.
Altcoins is the fast generating income after bitcoin and the top projects for most of us. I've never for a moment thought of leaving altcoins, because it's fast money, though it's rate of risk is very high compare to bitcoin that moves step by step. Secondly, most of these altcoins doesn't survive in the bear season, they dump heavily. To survive in the space, a trader have to be consistent in doing everything possible to win, that's one of the big ways to stay at the top. Altcoins are not dead, I'm speaking from experience. I've benefited quite major profits, I know what's I'm saying.

How can you die if you change the currency so easily?  It didn't take one or two or come here later with one or two.  You will be surprised if you see or think about them one after the other.  But yes the market is currently down but the market will not always be like this when the price of BTC goes up.  The market will go up because BTC is in a good position as it is now.  Bet this btc will continue roughly this year.  Only then.  It's BNB.  They are not the kind of people who die so easily.  Let's see what the future holds but digital currency will not die just like that.

During Bull season and before initiation of Bull season such thing happens that most of the altcoins are originated with good outcomes just to attract the attention of crypto users and after few months it become disappear which means that these creators are only wishes to get money from these scam projects. Most of the altcoins are also trusted but due to presence of untrustworthy coins people often get feared to choose altcoins because they cannot differentiate among good and bad altcoins. If a person takes time and do research then there is a possibility that he can buy some good and profitable altcoins for coming Bull run by knowing about the creators.

Are Altcoins dead? This question is not easy to answer, because the cryptocurrency market is a very volatile one and there are many ways to capitalize and invest in isolated coins.

Because the fundamentals, trends, and growth of cryptocurrency markets change from day to day. It is important to have a sense of your own goals and risk management capabilities.
Altcoins will still be alive even till next year. It is good when we understand what we are doing and how we can make consecutive profit from the crypto market. Those that knows how to make money from altcoins would never be broke.
Most of us are always scared of taking risk that's why we are still where we are till now. Money can be made in altcoins if we know how to look for strong projects that would help us keep making profits for us.

Watching the current market and the demise of ALL crypto ... is this the end for certain coins?

How do people think the likes of ETH, ADA, XRP, TRON etc will go from here?

I think ETH should be out of this list. ETH is still doing well and will continue to do well. It remains the best altcoin I will recommend for any interested in altcoin. Out of the list Tron is the one I doubt most but we can really say what can happen in the futures.

Out of your list I would only buy XRP. I might buy ETH under 500 usd but I would prefer ICP over ETH any day. I'm really having doubts that ETH is going to make it long term.
I believe you are buying XRP coin because XRP coin is in good position to invest but how do you think Ethereum will go below $500. I think ethereum will never go below $500 so you can never buy and invest in ethereum. But you can prefer ICP because ICP is very good currency to invest. All the coins you mentioned here are investable.

Altcoins will always remain dead. Majority of them just make false promises and give you all kinds of false expectations to put money in their pockets. Although I must admit ALTCOINS will never actually be dead because they will be used for pump and dumps. If you are lucky and quick enough to jump on a trend then you can make BANK with Altcoins.
Maybe there will be more dead tokens in the future because the rate at which many of the cryptocurrency project are launching, it means that investors would have no option later than to keep moving money from one crypto project tomthe other. This is what we would be experiencing and any project that eventually loses it community due to negative outcome, they would have to keep doing airdrop in order to bring back the users to their platform.
You have good points there and this is more reason why I suspect that many old coins/tokens would not be able to perform as they did in the last bull run, which is against the expectations of many people. It is only an insensitive person who would not know that the crypto market is being flooded with new cryptocurrencies these days, both good and bad, some are even there to steal people's money. And as many as they are now, I think they are in their thousands, they need patronage which is often through people's money.

This is what will boost their market capitalization, but when there are too many of them, that whole money would now spread on them randomly, which will not make many expected cryptos rise as the money that was supposed to be placed on them as though there was not much of them will actually be invested in many depending on the speculation of people on their prefered cryptos. This will not affect altcoins alone but also Bitcoin, people's money will be effectively distributed on all of them. For this, some crypto will not perform as expected while others will perform more than expected. You can prove me wrong with the actual event in the next 1.5 years.

If it's true that altcoins are dead, you won't see any altcoins in the market today. The question is: are there no altcoins in the market today that provide profit in the market or in trading? You answer this OP; the title question you made here seems silly.

I hope you don't make the communities here on this forum platform stupid. You know the answer to your question in the title you made. Remember that altcoins are the heart of this industry, which is why Bitcoin and other top-listed cryptocurrencies are becoming more popular.

The answer is very simple, No. Not all Altcoins are dead. But as of when this thread was created in the year 2022 a lot of shitcoins went missing, according to analysis over 51-56% of coins that where created in 2022 died along the way some got to there ATH and drop over 96% in price and never got back to it's ATH now the has been lot of Altcoins especially memecoins coming to the space again as a new trend, some people are going to take but for someone like me that has witness a different tokens crash to the floor I wouldn't give a dime to an pump and dump project claim unrealistic promises what we call (a too good to be true) promise that will never see it's way to reality.

One advise to people that will pick some interest in this coins is sale them as fast as possible because there are never going to perform well after it's launch (not all though) but you rarely see good one that will last.

If you want to see dead ALtcoins look at your Metamask, if you have worthless coins that you bought and kept and now there is no news of development they will disappear by themselves. For coins like eth, ada, tron and others, in my opinion, as long as there is volume on the exchange it will be fine unless there is an announcement from the exchange where you trade that one of them will be delisted and cannot be traded anymore.

The issue we have here is that all coins/tokens apart from Bitcoin are generalised as altcoins, people now add bad with good. But bad ones are not the same as the good ones as the names and characteristics that some preserve and possess respectively are unique. I do not see the trait that Bitcoin has that Ethereum doesn't have when it comes to the preservation of its quality and quantity. A few others also exist as well that during the huge fall of the last bearish season that made Bitcoin hit almost $15,000 from $69,000, they didn't fall that much. A good example of such is Tron (TRX) and many more like that which will even prove themselves better in the coming years.

This is what I will stand upon to debunk that altcoins are dead, they aren't dead and they will never be dead. Altcoins are only to be careful of, we do not just choose them anyhow, and the ones we choose, it must be well-studied so that as they give us that huge money during the bull run year(s), we take the opportunity and do not let ourselves be caught in the web of the bearish season that could see most of our asset depreciated before our eyes.

If people who know about the cryptocurrency market are known for their volatility, then there are no wild assumptions that say altcoins die. Moreover, altcoins such as ETH, ADA, XRP, and TRON have been tested on the market and have strong fundamentals, so they will not die. For example XRP, even though the problems they experienced were so severe, in fact, until now XRP has survived and has not died.

Altcoins are not diet but most of the time the value of it decreases which does not mean that it will not go higher again. If you choose good altcoin then there should be no doubt in your heart about its success but continue waiting because during Bull season they will surely increase in the worth.

Ethereum, XRP, ADA and TRON are all successful projects and without dying they will further grow and glow as a result of which altcoins will become more acceptable. Scam projects are also there which only gain your attention for few months and then dies which has negative effects on whole altcoins but it is the fault of holders who don't have any experience and knowledge about such coin but wants to invest money into it.

Only desperate people say that altcoins are dead, that maybe they can't get what they want as previously thought, or that they are too ambitious. because, until now, altcoins are still being traded and have become a commodity that is highly sought after as an attractive investment. There are many altcoins that have great potential and continue to trade well, such as ethereum, BNB, SOL, ADA, etc., and many benefit from the faithful trading they do.Don't believe what they say because they are actually looking for an opportunity to buy as much as possible from those who panic.

The cryptocurrency market is known for its volatility and has historically gone through cycles of growth and decline. During a bear market, the price of most cryptocurrencies tends to fall, and it is not uncommon for some cryptocurrencies to lose value or become inactive. But not all are the way I see it and some have stronger fundamentals and use cases that could contribute to their long term success.

Regarding the altcoins, ETH, ADA, XRP, and TRON mentioned, these coins have unique qualities and use cases that may contribute to their future success. Even though they may have experienced a drop in price during a bear market, this does not mean that they are dying or no longer investing. They're all there as long as they're not weird freaks like LUNA and FTX.

I just checked the date and realised that this was posted when all altcoins were bleeding and were trying to recover from COVID-19 losses and black swan. Right now, I'm sure you have seen how all this has played out and how well you could have used either the Dual Investment Strategy or DCA method to get into those coins during their downtimes

Several altcoins are great for making small payments with almost zero fees, so they have a real reason to own some. Others will be around for a long time, even if they are way down from their all-time highs - Solana (SOL) and The Sandbox (SAND) are two examples which are alive and heading into the future.
