The few coins that I am going to hold for the next 2-3 years. But of course in the course of this period I will trade sell off some at high and buy in more when market is down to accumulate more.

Hey guys, I wanna hold some alts for 2-3 years. Can you advise me some? I am thinking about Bitquance, XVG, OMG, NEO....anything else?
Why did you not include the ethereum? Beside of being secondary to bitcoin it now become the overall lead of all altcoin. Ethereum now is most commonly used by almost of the ICO as mode of payment and mostly used by the trading sites that involve in token trade unlike of other altcoins ethereum market value is average increasing.
I believe that the various ICO that use the Ethereum platform certainly have the potential for future progress to the ethereum, and in addition to bitcoin, ethereum can be a lucrative investment if done for the long term perhaps by holding 2-3 years ahead of course eth price will be increased so that it will have the opportunity to earn big profits.

2-3 years of just holding your alts are hard to do, anyway, Neo,omg,adx,eth,pay will give you 10-15x of your initial investment for the next 2-3 years.

For next 3 years i recommend iota. its now very cheap and undervalued. uses tangle instead of blockchain.
Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, OMG and NEO. That's what i would suggest for such 2 - 3 Years. But usually i don't hold altcoins that long. I would say that after 6 to 12 months it's time to look at the portfolio and maybe change it a bit.
Try to join airdrops to get their tokens and hold it for some years.
I think it's profitable to hold them when you read their roadmap, try the risk besides we got it for free so nothing to lose.

I think some old coins will start to gain nostalgia/sentimental value and become more like collectible artifacts

Yes that is right that there are even some altcoin coins who have good potential in its price and therefore i think that such altcoins look like to have a very good future, and therefore we can expect that if we hold such altcoins for a long time, they will certainly give us a good profit, because people and investors are too much confident about such altcoin and want to continue investment there, I think Etherium will be the best choice if a person want to invest money in altcoin for a long period.

Alts are known for short term investment, so I think and in my opinion, it won't be that much profitable for the said time length. But if you still want to, I think ETH would be the best one to invest with that amount of time. Etherium's market value is continuously increasing as of this moment since it is oftenly used in ICOs and holding ETH will probably lead to huge profit in the future since it is potent enough base on its current market statistics.
Don't forget unikoingold. Their stuff ends in like 2 weeks or so. If youre into esports and the long term, they are solid

it is pretty interesting most of you guys recommend ripple, I dont find this token interesting anymore....stil at the same price..
