Perhaps only Ethereum and Ripple can really reach the moon in Altcoins. Other than 80% of altcoins I think not only can't reach the moon, but also die sooner or later.
What is the future of altcoin? People usually buy top coin but I buy shitcoin. There are many tokens gone, which are shitcoins. And now I will hold top coin. I think it's safer
For 1 year only Bitcoin and Ether can be kept. Also, with less tolerable risk, you can take old liquid coins. Such as DASH, MONERO, LIGHTCOIN and so on.

yes you are right if you are planing to buy or invest on alts for a year or two , it a good thing to buy alts o the top 10 or top 5 to know that those coins are good as for long term investment. there is also good coins and have a good potential coins in the future even they are still new

Can only choose one coin? Then of course bitcoin. But it is better to divide between several coins. I would choose the EOS now, and Zilliqa Tezos. And bitcoin of course.
To sell the altcoins now is not so smart. I will wait till the price is going up. You are right, it is good time to hold the alts for a year or so and wait till they moon

Do not set a goal to keep it exactly 1 year, you always need to monitor the market, to sell tokens at the best price.
There is no guarantee that the market will take a little time to recover. Perhaps some analysts were right that it would take 2-3 years to completely restore the market.

I think these coins DASH, DEX, IOTA. I think these coins have a Very good team and the community and the Telegram. It thinks these coin prices will be pumped & dump in this year.
Judging by how the coins are kept in panic, you can keep for a year only Bitcoin and Ether. All the rest is given at the first burn.

Setting yourself a one year span is not that smart... You want to learn some basic high time frame ta and try sell a good long term top. It's hard to predict if that's one year or more or less. You need to be able to read the market a bit to find your best exits.
I would advice more to learn how to make your own research and conclude based on your research. Investing in Etherum is very good as etherum is one of the best coins on coinmarketcap.
Apparently hold for 1 year only bitcoin deserves. But when the market comes to life, then we will see who will need this world.
Good thing you want to invest in altcoins. But if you do not know what to choose, choose the top 5 in capitalization.
