As everyone hopes, we try to find coins that will grow rapidly in the future. Maybe for this year, Tron represents that ambition. Maybe the cheap price becomes the main key of this coin to get support from the community.
If you want a long term investment, you should go for Bitcoin. Aside from being the most popular, it is also the most reliable and stable coin ever created. However, you should also consider investing to altcoins but you have to check on it from time to time. An altcoin might be doing well, but it might also vanished any moment.

In times of such market correction, it seems that investors are beginning to move investments on coins with smaller market capitalization. And it looks like Altcoin like Eos is one of the coins that has that character. So for this year, Eos can be a consideration for investment in one year.
Moon is too much of a descriptive reference for growing coins in the market. Although ETH is still scraping around 600 USD +, moon is still a miles away before it could reach even a K this year.

What I can recommend to you is Ethereum and NEO. Both altcoin are a Smart Contract platform and they compete with each other soon. Ethereum is the first Smart Contract platform that is successful and now NEO is trying to overtake its place. NEO is supported by Chinese community the reason why it is called Chinese Ethereum. you'd better invest in a well-known BTC, ETH or altcoin. For a long-term asset. Because investing in ICO will make you doubt because the possibility terburunknya ICO coins will not be sold expensive
If you want to hold that such altcoin, you must research them for the deep analysis. I myself will suggest some name of the altcoins but once more you should analyze further. Ethereum and NEO are a very good investment with its advanced smart contract platform. They have good future and value. I'm sure that the coins are promising to hold in 1 year. But of course, ensure that you buy at this lower price and sell them when the price is going higher.

I think you can pick any coin of top 10 in coinmaketcap because they are really good. In that top 10, most people today are more confident of ETH as an investment in the altcoin market as they can see that the system development owned by ETH is very good and this is the reason why so many people are investing in this coin. NEO and EOS become exciting discussion some time this last. It could be for one year only increase the EOS and NEO will be high. This is worth the wait because of the presence of two altcoins this is pretty strict market competition made and crowded. ethereum and ripple need to be vigilant in the presence of two altcoins.

There are many opportunities out there how ever when it comes to the long term holding then we should take at most care of doing so by selecting the precious projects.
I have some coins on my mind that are since ICO's getting hyped properly. Some of them include Sociall coin recently getting developed in the closed beta and soon to launch their open beta also. The user base will rise heavily in next month or so and the coin value is expected to double the initial one. Next is Jibrel Network and InsurePal. Dont know if you saw the ICO sale for them but they were the most hot and quicker sellers of all time. They are the next big thing and worth not missing them.

Well, do not let me divert from the main topic, the OP is going to be getting huge suggestions here but instead, I feel he should read articles online and probably make use of coinmarketcap to check some of the top 100 projects he can invest in. That should be the best bet for any investor who is new rather than just gambling on the opinion that people give out on public forums.

AION, WAN, ICX hold these altcoins for 1-2years they will give you a good return of invesment. Also they are picked and suggested by popular people in cryptocurrency space. 
If you intend to invest in altcoins then your at a loss.. especially if you plan on long term investment, but if you consider ETH as an altcoin that you would invest in then i guess the chances of gaining profit will be higher than those offered in the market. You see, altcoins are temporary.. it runs on its pump period.. and when it finishes then the value drops to a point that it ends up nonexistent. If you want you could invest in bitcoins, atleast it wouldnt be as risky as the other one.
