For me i believe on two coins that could possibly survive in the future, first is bitcoin, due to it’s popularity and value, it could definitely survive in the future and not to mention for it’s function as well. The other one would be ethereum because of it’s usage from all over the world, it is one of the most utilized coins out there for me i will call ethereum as bitcoin rival for now but in the future i dont know what will happen it depends on us on how we manage this coin in the present to help us in the future.

In order to altcoin to survive in the future, it must focus on solving a problem but that is not enough, along with a wide possible network and potential application this problem should not be completely resolved by the mainstream cryptocurrencies, these include Ripple, iOTA, NEM and Siacoin.

In the future, only those projects that will develop their product will survive, if people have already invested in this project, then people have believed in it, and accordingly the project was recognized, according to the project it is necessary to work on their product, which it represents

I think only the strongest will survive, those are for me, monero zcash/zcoin and etheruem, litecoin perhaps will survive because the community is emotionally attached to it, and the dev is very operative.

Yes altcoins have a good strong future. It will be clearly understood this year.Altcoins stand up to the end always survive altcoins.
BTC and ETH will survive as they were both the main who presented the hidden ideas the have both the pioneer advantage which gives them the primary mover advantage. Both have the most noteworthy appropriation which is presumably the most essential purpose of thought when finding a decent cash to put resources into.

Altcoins are springing up on a daily basis, you might have noticed that they appear pretty regularly in the lists of CoinMarketCap. However, as much as 40 percent of altcoin will probably die out in the near future.

Exactly. There are many altcoins which appear daily, but not all of them would be able to remain in the cryptocurrency market for years to come. Only those that could provide constant development and real-world usage will be the ones to survive in the future. As such, there are many altcoins in existence which have no usage at all and are more of the same. They will cease to exist when people find out the next big thing.

Therefore, I believe that mostly the biggest cryptocurrencies in existence within the top 10 rankings will be the ones that will survive for quite some time. Ethereum, Litecoin, NEO, Dash, Monero, and even Cardano will be here to stay providing real usage in the mainstream world. Just my opinion Smiley

Based on what it has been seen among the wide array of altcoins such as development, innovation, and security issues, what altcoins might survive in the future?

In my opinion, I think that the only ones prone to survive would be good old altcoins such as Litecoin and Dogecoin, but I may be wrong.

Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this as well as any altcoin that might be worth holding onto for the long term.  Grin

I just focus on ethereum and waves, these two coins have the same technology and smart contracts. I do not see for any other altcoin, except for ripples, now ripple into conversation because it will be involved with some kind of exchange like WU

A coin that survives in the future and the market capitalization becomes explosively high depends on whether the coin is used in business.
For example, there are finance, insurance and real estate fields that are compatible with block chains.

Finance XRP
Insurance IXT
Realestate PRO

I believe that these three coins or tokens are definitely left in the market capitalization TOP 20 in the future.

I don't really think that most Altcoins today won't survive in the future because I know that Top and most  Altcoins today would still exist in the future of beyond our lifetime.
Billion supply coins will soon be valued as high as $10 or more in the CT few years from now but I really don't think that Altcoins today will store in the future because BitConnect isn't dying even after the massive dumping.

Top 5 altcoins will surely survive no matter what the future may hold. There are tons of money involve that every developers, investors and holders don't want to lose.
Altcoins are basically alternate coins (i.e. alternate to Bitcoin), and there are above 1,000 different altcoins lately. Of course, most of them will crash and burn and maybe less than 50 will survive. Who knows? No one can predict what will happen in the future anyway.

Of course altcoins can last for a long time. For the altcoins I see will persist and potentially is ethereum. Because today many people are attracted to ethereum. I also believe that ethereum will become a very popular altcoins in the future and is in great demand.

Agree. Ethereum would likely survive in the future, because it has a wide user base and support from its developers. As it has gained traction since its inception, businesses have formed an alliance with Ethereum to help make smart contracts become used in the mainstream world. Since it's the second cryptocurrency in marketcap next to Bitcoin, I'm sure that it will be here to stay for many years to come.

Once ETH switches from PoW to PoS, things are going to become better for the cryptocurrency. As such, Ethereum will stay head to head against Bitcoin in the market for quite some time. It'll be the best investment you'll ever make for the long term.

Another altcoin that it may survive in the future would be Litecoin. That is because it has grown alongside Bitcoin every step of the way. It has managed to achieve consensus at a faster rate than BTC, opening its path for scalability upgrades to come into effect. It has maintained itself stable in the markets for quite some time now, and it's often viewed as silver to Bitcoin's Gold. In this sense, Litecoin will be here to stay for many years to come. Just my opinion Smiley

Coins that have real life purpose, a using area will survive. Coins that only serve pump and dumps will die eventually.
ETH, NEO, WAVES, smart contract platforms, good POS coins, masternode coins, fast and reliable coins will survive.

The altcoins that will survive in the future are the ones that are used in several and specific ways. Not to be biased but CVProof or INK coin is one of the coins that will survive, it could also be one of the big ones in the future since the functionality of this coin and the campaign as well is really different than the others.
