It's not easy to predict which altcoin this market will offer and neither how those already existing will behave in the future. However, those who offer now a solution to solve real problem has more opportunity to growth and give back some good profit. In my opinion, for example, SingularDTV has a good team behind and a real future concept that has a huge market in which it could expand. More coin like storj of maidsafe for privacy and cloud storage has a great potential and they are a good investment now.

Altcoins that always stay on top in cryptocurrency market will survive the ongoing fierce competitions. The advantage of the altcoins is their cheaper price if you compare to bitcoin.

I think it's possible for altcoins to survive in the future , because the idea of Internet of Things will need coins but Bitcoin is now having its disavantages so that it can't be the future's coin needed  Cool

Its nice to read old posts and see how much the crypto landscape has changed in only 10-11 months. So many coins favored by many users are now considered "shitcoins" or dont even get brought up at all during discussions. Let me take a stab at it and see how well this post ages in a few months:

Ethereum
Monero
Ark
Vertcoin

I say this from a very distant view of a very distant observer. Alternative coins that have been most prominent in all of my research and daily readings are of course Ethereum, Litecoin and Monero. Even Dogecoin has a lot of news and mentions, despite it not being otherwise a progressive coin, but I can understand how a strong community can carry it through.

The rest seem just like ICO projects with unnatural mentions with a fickle community mostly complaining about price.

Based on what it has been seen among the wide array of altcoins such as development, innovation, and security issues, what altcoins might survive in the future?

In my opinion, I think that the only ones prone to survive would be good old altcoins such as Litecoin and Dogecoin, but I may be wrong.

Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this as well as any altcoin that might be worth holding onto for the long term.  Grin

Litecoin has the potential to survive long.

Hi, Crowdholding just allowed ERC-20 tokens to build multipule currency platform.
So, we have another task for you: Give us links to pre-ICO businesses who plan to launch their pre-ICO after November. Give a sentence or two why you think they would be a good fit for CH and we will contact them. We will be active with reaching out to businesses already on the exchange and pre-ICO startups.

Leave your comment here: https://www.crowdholding.com/project/68/task/309/

Altcoins that could provide solid development, innovation, and most of all, usability will most likely succeed over the long term. There are many prominent altcoins in the market, which you could buy right now with their own use cases. If you've been paying close attention to their price movements, they have been rising in value exponentially during the year, reducing Bitcoin's total market dominance.

Thus, if everything continues as is, altcoins would be widely used in the mainstream world for various applications, while Bitcoin will remain as a store of value.

The altcoins which prove to have better stability, technology, and usability, would likely remain on top and overcome other cryptocurrrencies on the markets. There is a fierce competition on which provides faster transactions, anonymity and user acceptance from around the world. Just my opinion.
you opinion has a lot of sense mate,you have mention lots of points on how to find a good alts from its ico.and all i can say is GOOD JOB,

I think that the coins who have a real business structure will survive. Stratis, Ark, Neo are some of them. When they will have their blockchain structure it would be so hard to be crashed as they will go bankrupt in real world.

Most of the altcoins that are hyped right now will be gone in 1-2 years. My long term survivors are:

* LISK
* STRATIS
* WAVES

I don't think Dogecoin will survive. I know that it's been there for long but it's not significant like Litecoin, Ethereum, Ripple and Dash. I'm just sure that long as they proved their worth, their chances of surviving in the future is very high.
