There are too many cryptocurrencies that are rising as altcoins.No one can tell what altcoin can sustain and surpass others.
Totally agree, with the number of tokens being released daily it's really difficult to say but I think the top 5 will always be there or thereabout in the long term.
The only coin I feel strongly about in the near future is NEO. Very long term.
There are many shity coins and projects. But some coins and their projects are awesome. For example Ethereum, NEO, Dash, Litecoin etc. These coins will survive forever. In my opinion ethereum is better than Bitcoin. I hope ETH will be the next king.
No one knows this for sure but from everything that is placed on current market probably the next big one will be ETH. It have everything that need to someday maybe replace bitcoin in any possible way, rest of clean alt will always be here like dash, LTC or monero or some other, but if some ICO replace all this that would be very big surprise.

Yes it worth to keep long time. But it depends.i am saying my personal experience that i keep sia then i did not see prices for longer time because i thought that automatically investment increase. That not happended. All getting up side down. At last what i get lower than the investment.

There are many shity coins and projects. But some coins and their projects are awesome. For example Ethereum, NEO, Dash, Litecoin etc. These coins will survive forever. In my opinion ethereum is better than Bitcoin. I hope ETH will be the next king.
Altcoins have different ability and all of them have own strength and weakness, however when the time that digital era's coming all coins and altcoins have chance to become famous in their own. Otherwise we all knows that all altcoins in crypto currency industry have future. So no doubt on digital currency even they were hold or not.

Definitely, Altcoins which re holders by many crypto currency holder will survive in future. There are many altcoins which are having a good potential and can sustain their life in future. Among all these coin ETHEREUM is my favorite and it has great value to me.Bitcoin is the first and best in crypto-currency and ethereum comes second.I am sure that ETH will survive because there are already so many projects that have been running.
It is more risky indeed to use altcoins and yet you can win a jackpot if you invest in the right one (the problem is that it's not easy to decide which one will lead to good future. Based on what it has been seen among the wide array of altcoins such as development, innovation, and security issues, what altcoins might survive in the future?
In my opinion, I think that the only ones prone to survive would be good old altcoins such as Litecoin and Dogecoin, but I may be wrong.

It might survive in the future are ethereum, litecoin, dash and dogecoin. The number one in my list is ethereum because we know it, that is always near of bitcoin in the market. I wondered how far can go the other altcoins.
I'm surprised you enter altcoin doge in the list, I think the doge has not shown significant development. But if I may choose, ETH is one good altcoin and very stable, many people use it.
I can't predict what will happen in the future but i see ETH surviving no matter what
