I like waves and stratis for long term investmen. We will see in some years...
Nobody knows which ones will survive for fact, but it's easy to see which projects have the long term potential. It's all just speculating but at this point is quite clear that alts are here to stay. And they are becoming more and more like actual projects you can take somewhat seriously. I think it's safe to assume that top 10 caps will still exist 3 years from now
Yes . I think the top 10 coinmarket will definitely survive as it gets more attention and investment. Especially all whales are concentrated in this market a lot so be sure these altcoin can survive for a long time.

I haven't been in the game long, but see the LTC, Doge, ETH, Monero, and maybe Zcash surviving for quite a while with BTC being the last to go. Sure, innovation and development needs to happen. If you have BTC with longer and longer transaction times and development never creates a soft or hard fork to correct this issue, it too can get passed up.

In my opinion, I think that the only ones prone to survive would be good old altcoins such as Litecoin and Dogecoin, but I may be wrong.
Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this as well as any altcoin that might be worth holding onto for the long term.

I can't agree with you , Litecoin and Dogecoin have too less developments for long time .
Only developments could take value to a coin,with out this, altcoins is nothing.

Fortunately, the strongest will survive. Monero, Zcash or zcoin ,etheruem and litecoin are on the list, I believe. It is possible if it still patronize by users. Good news Litecoin ranked among the top five most popular in the world cryptocurrency.
I believed with NEM and look at where it is now.
From a 300+ satoshis to a whooping 4 digit 5k satoshis.
That is enough to tell that this coin is a hardcore on support.
Now it may be slow on the upward gain of price but still I already profited a lot and dont want to withdraw yet.
I am expecting more with this token and want to see it fully bloomed in value.

I think ETH will be the most developed currency in the future because investors would love to invest in ICO projects as it brings a lot of profit and the foundation of ETH can create so many different Token so ETH Will be the longest existed altcoin
I agree with you ETH has a bright future because it has a potential to grow this year and the price keeps going on. many people invest on ETH because a lot of things coming from it this is just the beginning of ETH maybe one day it will overtake bitcoin.
Out of nearly a thousand crypto already I am still optimistic that many of them will continue to stay alive especially those with solid teams. Not saying half of them but maybe around 30%. Many of them have different use cases and target markets. NEM, Stratis, Monero and many more looks solid.
Iota will not only survive in the future - it will be the future. Great team, great community, a lot of promising projects in the pipeline, joint ventures with big companies etc.

I liked monero, litecoin, ethereum. Now I have started to like waves, MGO and Gamecredits. Game has real life product, so do MGO. Waves are becoming popular and useful. Many will come and my list will be longer. but First 3 will remain same after ages, I assume. But it is crypto, bull shit happens here every day.

I think dentcoin is a good project to support and get some dentcoin now, ICO is running, and they are giving plenty of tokens to the investors/sipporters, the biggest dentcoin tokens allocations I have ever seen. Dentcoin = mobile data trading.
I think altcoins will still share market cap with ICOS and btc so in mid term it is possible.

On some others there will be ups and downs like on every market, but for the moment safes thing is to stick for bitcoin.
The smart ethereum contract platform will indirectly wrap all future altcoin powers into one box and in long-term plan will automatically break away from bitcoin, nothing is impossible, but so far that's what they do for projects that not only have a duration of time for a year or two.

The only coin I feel strongly about in the near future is Nexus. Very long term.

Coin will go and rise investors will pump it so much that you would regret that you don't buy it when it's cheap. Ethereum has many characteristic despite of many fake news roaming around that the creator of it was dead already. They will not bring ETH down so easily because many of the people know that it can be the second bitcoin around.
