In my opinion, I think that, the altcoins that would grow well this year are many though.

Exclusively coins with good use case would grow well. The likes of vechain, steem, icon, so many of them..

Like I said, make your research. This is my personal opiniom

Most of them will grow but we don't know which one that will grow the fastest out of them all. My pick for this year is NEO, Nano, Neblio, VEN and monero for privacy one. I don't follow all privacy coin but monero is the one with largest community so pick it. I have bought the others since last year and still holding it because i believe it will be a great investment.

My picks for massive gains in 2018 are DRGN, ICX, ONION, VEN, NANO and GBYTE. Could not narrow it down to five, so I posted six instead.

I think that most Altcoins will grow well in 2018 but my 5 favorites are:

2.PIVX
3. DeepOnion
4.Siacoin
5. NEO

here are my TOP 5 AltCoins I will Hodl at least until 2019,

1) Cardano ADA : the same creator of Ethereum is working hard on this project, they do not need to be mined and you can grab for only 0,37$ now.

2) DeepOnion ONION : Privacy will be a huge issue for 2018 and 2019 and DeepOnion is still an undervalued project: it has got a lot of innovative technology,
only 25 million coins almost like Bitcoin, a strong community behind and you can grab it only for 4,32$ (its ATH was almost 20$).
Moreover DO never made any ICO, but they distribuite via Airdrops and Bounties the tokens to the community.

3) ZenCash ZEN : Always a Privacy coin with a weird team behind: mercenary, mathematicians, ex CIA agents... and a good community.

4) Ethereum ETH : It will grow up more and more, also if its technology is "OLD" there are plenty of ERC20 tokens around, all based on Eth technology.

5) Stellar Lumens XML :  there are behind the founders of Stripe and Wordpress, it will explode in 2020, in the meanwhile you could grab each XML token
for only 37$ ish.

I think Etherium, Monero, DeepOnion, Bitcoincash and Lisk. These coin is my big five coins that I know will going to grow more this 2018. But my favorite coin is DeepOnion because  this new coin has a potential and this coin achieved a lot of developments for a sure time. I invested some money on it and I know I will regret it.

Now, with some governments trying to control crypto-currencies and limit privacy, coins with high anonymity will become even more important in the future.

So my list of promising altcoins for 2018 are:

Deeponion or ONION is a great privacy coin that also allows for encrypted documents to be sent and received.
Instantaneous transactions and is a hybrid of Proof of Work versus Proof of State (best of both Worlds). Community is one of the best and keeps winning competitions to get on exchanges (take a look at Bitindia session one)
Been following since a $1 and it continues to grow!

Denarius or DNR is an ASIC resistant coin (like Vertcoin), is a Proof of Work/Proof of Stake hybrid (best of both worlds), only 2 Million Circulating Supply (crazy low).
It's only $2 and my first target is $10. I will hold until $20 based on supply, the team and the coin...

There are many good altcoins and teams/companies worth investing in.
If we skip mainstream ones like NEO, ETH or EOS, I would like to mention several others - ICX, ONION, DRGN, ARK, QTUM.

I think there are a lot of altcoins that might grow in 2018 and some of them are old coins that have been here for a couple of years like Siacoin for instance. And it also depends if these coins have upcoming projects for this year too, that's why we should follow the coins we are trading and see what are their coming projects and future developments to know where they stand.

the most recent exciting project called Resource Coin.

The slogan of this project is the expression:

   All you need to achieve your goals are resources.

The aim of the project itself is to provide these resources.

The number of destroyed resources directly affects the price of buying and selling resources.

Is the price is minimum, and further, when the destruction of resources will only grow.
The creators of the project give in his blog a simple task:

   Alice bought 1'000'000'000 resources for 1'000 eth,

Hence, in the near future it is expected that the cost of resources will be increased by at least two.

There are lot of project that is good working product that would probably will grow potentialy like CAP ,XRP , ETH and many others but still you should know the criteria
to choose that you also study .

I think waves, ripples and eth. yes these three coins can be relied upon in the future. I think will bring a lot of profit in the middle of this year. but, in fact there are many new tokens that you can buy. yes I think, there are many altcoins that can be profitable. as long as we always try to be more diligent to find various information and analyze it.
