I have a extra moment to double-check, do not hurry, or else you might end up sending funds to the wrong place. Stay vigilant even when you are dealing with routine transactions. Trust your gut, verify the details , nbo matter how familiar you are with the process. Better to be safe than sorry when it comes to your hard earned money

I must say that you happened to be very unlucky about the timing your casino decided to update your personal depositing address, to be honest.
Though, I am glad you managed to recover your funds in the end.

I believe gamblers in general would feel more comfortable depositing in their personal casinos accounts if casinos and sport books alike did what big exchanges already do: whenever they are about to change one's depositing address to a new one, they usually send an email letting the user know about it, so the ate less chances of commiting a mistake while sending money to the exchange.
Sure thing, it would be still recommendable to always check the address before sending any money to it, but a simple E-mail with such basic information could help those with are stuck inna situation in which they cannot easily re-check their own depositing address.

Anyways, thanks for sharing your experience with us.  Wink

This is not new warning but I think people might need to be reminded about this after experiencing this personally just now. I recently made a loan using a casino wallet address, I check the wallet address if it’s the same before I ask the loan and I confirmed that it was the same.

The problem comes when the loan is already sent while my casino wallet address update right after the loan amount sent. Take note that I’m using same wallet address since I play to this casino for about 3 years and they just update my wallet address some time after I post my loan request here.

To make the story short. The balance is not credited but after a lengthy discussion with the support and after sending proof that my old wallet address is still the same when I made the deposit(loan) then they recover my funds out of good will.

The lesson here is always check the wallet address before you deposit no matter how long do you use the same address. Most importantly don’t use casino wallet address to receive funds that has a delay such as loan money and campaign payments since there’s a chance that they will update their wallet address without prior notice. Keep safe and have fun.

I personally think that they should have recovered your funds not out of their good will, but just because it was their duty if you have proved that the funds were sent to the old address provided by them.

But your post is useful nevertheless. It would never hurt checking your deposit address one more time.

I don't know if the casinos do change ones wallet address or not pr maybe on request anyway, but to those that issues loans, it is better that we make use of a non-custodial wallets for this purpose than using a custodial wallet address in such regards, this will definitely prevent us from having any possible future unnecessary shows that might come up as such had been described by OP from his experience in doing same, we have this an avenue of being informed prior the time.

Don't borrow money to play, let alone use the casino's wallet address as a place to receive the borrowed money. Playing gambling does not require having to borrow money because it has exceeded the appropriate limit.

But, indeed, we must always confirm the wallet address before sending it. The wallet address at the casino will not always be the same. @OP is lucky he can still prove it to get the funds.

Some people can't get their funds back so checking the wallet address several times is necessary. Make sure everything is before you send the money.

But the problem I see here mate is what if the change happens almost minute or second apart from the sending of the funds? I mean the timing of the sending is almost same from the changing of wallet address then this will still occur like what you have experience here.

though I wanna congratulate you for having back your funds and since this is a loan you are lucky that you have a chance of using your gambling loan to try another luck than just gone in the wind.

Wait... why you take a loan for gambling? I believe most people know gambling using loan is really bad.

Shit happen to you, many centralized sites weren't updating the deposit address for long time, they just update it after few months or years, even though they didn't notify their customers. Glad the casino still want to recover your coins.

To me it seems pathetic, he asks for a loan to gamble in the casino, deposits it directly there, and almost loses it by not checking the address. The worst thing is that the discussion is focused on the fact that you have to check the address, and not on the danger of taking loans to gamble.

That's necessary if we don't want to lose without betting. But I bet the casino, a just casino would credit an account to your balance once it's on their wallet. Because in this case, it's easy for OP to prove that the address is link to his deposit account, and casino could not deny that, otherwise OP can create a scam accusation with the casino and I'm sure the community will symphatize.

Yes, it was a mistake for not checking the address first, or making sure that the loan will be sent immediately, but as we can trace, it will point it to the  owner of the address which is OP..Borrowing money for gambling is just another story, we don't tackle it here.

Yeah, It's easy for OP to prove as long as he has a proof and if there's none, It's hard to believe if he is telling the truth. these kinds of incidents, especially those involving money, can be easily resolved as long as there is proof that the money deposited by OP to the casino's wallet address was not credited.
Take note that when it comes to any fund transfer transaction or deposit, It's better for us to track it correctly and do not rush things to avoid this kind of incident

Sounds absurd and not really something that recommended but well its impossible that he's isnt aware on what he's doing. If the take a loan to gamble then just let them be.
People are really just that too love on discussing other things on which he do knows about the risks on gambling a loan money and just been said that its impossible that he's isnt aware
on the risk. If he could be able to repay those loans then it would really be just that fine but if its not then this is where issues and problems would really be starting.

In regarding about the problem then it would really be that easy for the site to trace it up.If the address does really belongs on them them they would be able to give
back those funds without any issues which its normal but if not then we do know on what would happen.

I agree, as much as possible we should have a spare wallet where we can send the borrowed money instead of relying on the casino's deposit address. And it's better to be cautious by going through the extra effort of creating another transaction to avoid those unexpected problems.

Also, it's good to hear that the casino helped you recover the money in the end because i've heard similar cases from others and I rarely see them getting it back.

@OP isn't checking and verifying any deposit address a standard operating procedure whenever we deposit?  I wonder what makes you careless about not checking your deposit address especially when it is  used as receiving address for a loan.  I am glad that the casino you are playing with is considerate people and you are able to recover your funds.

This is also one of the major rules I follow, verify the address every time I make a deposit after the experience of sending an amount of crypto to the wrong address in my early years in cryptocurrency.  It was around 0.025 BTC worth of altcoin.  I got confused and sent the amount to an address that does not belong to me but in my sent and received history (using the altcoin wallet itself)  It was a complete lost and from that I learned my lesson to not only double check but triple check and even verifying the last first and last six digit of the receiving address.

That's right, on average when you want to make a cryptocurrency transaction you have to re-correct the recipient's address because if one letter is different it won't go into the wallet you have, even now it is equipped with several different networks, so you have to be careful when you want to When carrying out cryptocurrency transactions, make sure the recipient address and network used are correct.

Not only to check the wallet address before deposit but also check the address we copy and paste is correct. The same thing also should be done when it comes to withdraw, double checking the address is always recommended because once transaction is done then it cant be reversed. For special case like personal things (receiving payment or loan), using personal wallet is better so we have full control of the wallet. Using deposit address in a casino is fine as long as the main purpose of taking the loan is to gamble but if we do not want to gamble then there is no good reason to use deposit address in casino to receive payment or taking a loan.
This copy paste error is something that has become a familiar thing in the crypto world especially when it comes related to sending out funds from different wallet because this is not only pin to collection of loan but the overall thing every crypto enthusiast should do is to know that he or she needs to double check the transaction he or she is about to make because like you said once a transaction is broadcast to the network, it's a one-way ticket and no going back.
You're absolutely correct, there's always need to double-check your transactions before going ahead to send them, especially when it comes to crypto, because once a crypto transaction has been sent and confirmed, there's no more turning back as you can't recover the funds if eventually it went to the wrong address.

Mistakes are most likely to occur whenever we are in a hurry or when our brain or mind is currently occupied with other matters and this is why it's very important to always double-check and confirm your transactions, even when you're not in a hurry or occupied with other things, to avoid losing your funds.

Everyday we hear about how people lose their crypto assets due to this clipboard virus issues, and this is because they've refused to double-check before sending the final command, this is why we must always be extra careful and attentive when sending out funds, whether crypto or even fiat.

You made a big mistakes for using a casino wallet to deposit anything other than making deposits to gamble with, because receiving a loan or other payments with a casinos wallet is like exposing yourself and loan amount into higher risk that will eventually go wrong for you as a gambler,  bit then also you are right in your warning in the area of always going to the casinos or whatever wallet page of the platform you want to use and copying the address afresh each time you want to make a deposits because most of this platforms changes their address so often.

Is pauses higher risk for you as a gamblerto have balance in your casinos account and left alone receiving loans credit via such risk medium unless if you are taking the loan to gamble with.

Good story and all that, but let me share a story of mine as well lol. Didn't particularly happen to me because of gambling but almost happened while I was trying to swap cryptos in between exchanges (binance to my phantom wallet and then jupiter), I didn't notice that I had my crypto from Solana and almost sent it to a wrong deposit address (Binance gives you the option of either sending Solana coins in a BEP20 exchange, or through Solana classic deposit address), I had double tapped on BEP20 and honestly didn't know if it would go through but luckily I was able to not press the yellow button of confirmation, saving me from a probable loss of a couple hundred dollars in crypto I would've used to make bets in.

Also happened to a friend of mine in the past here, he got clowned by oldies in this forum as he mistakenly copied the address of someone from the forum while trying to copy the format of the signature campaign application. People are so quick to call that out (and as they should) but it was evident it was an honest mistake.

Be very careful of your deposit addresses whether you're gambling or not, it's very easy to lose your money in here by mispressing a button or sending the wrong address. Don't be a cautionary tale.

You took a loan and sent the money into your casino wallet address, do you want to gamble with borrowed funds? I hope not, because that is not a good thing to do. Take note that you should always check and copy the right address when you are receiving or sending funds to a custodial wallet, you can't be sure if the service have changed the deposit address in your account. I know that you may be avoiding tx fees, but it is recommended to receive funds from a third party in your own self custodial wallet and then you can fund your casino address by yourself.

That is my impression here, but that's his business anyway. But this reminder one should always do even if it is only one week that you know you have copied your address. Because every time you want to send some funds, you make sure that you check and copy the address. Like for example, some exchanges update their wallets and so the addresses may change.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm aware exchanges periodically update their address but this is the first time I'm getting to know casinos do same. This is a lesson to everyone and I'm happy that you were able to recover your funds back.

I guess you also learnt a valuable lesson not to use a casinos wallet address to ask for loan because you might not be lucky to get your loan application processed on time and if there's a wallet update, you might not be lucky the second time getting things sorted out with the casino's support.

Knowing about clipboard malware and the irreversible nature of bitcoin transactions, it has become a habit for me to double check my wallet address before proceeding with any transactions. I have read similar stories like yours about people losing money because they made a mistake with their wallet address. In your case, the casino was very kind to credit your account with the funds considering the fault was from your end.
