That's a really problematic situation OP, it's good that they managed to fund you with all the hassle surrounding that account. It's a good deal that you check the deposit wallet address every time you are transacting. I hope everyone does the same measure with their accounts.

I have quite some paranoia with transacting with accounts so I always double-check before doing anything.
Now after losing some good amount I have my lesson even I am late but still its good now usually before any transaction I double-check because I have few big loses like I lost nearly 1 Ethereum which I send on ETC address in Poloniex exchange, and they never give me back with I again send nearly 0.2 bitcoin on blockchain site which was also been never recover, and now I am having no hopes as well for my these amounts, but things like these give me good lesson with I am regularly checking and doing carefully all my stuff.
But surely now thread like these are doing good work for the newbies as they needed to be more careful because mostly exchanges never give back your this hard-earned money back to you.

It's not just for gambling really, any transaction you do you should always double or triple-check the addresses that you send to. Most transactions especially if they're not centralized wouldn't be returned after all so submitting a ticket would be pretty damn useless. In OPs case it seems like everything worked out well since the casino controls their own local network of wallets but if it wasn't, then I'd say you wouldn't have been able to recover the funds.

Kinda weird though since afaik, they should update you whenever such things change, if they ever do (which afaik shouldn't).

You can of course recover your funds but it might take time as they need to check the system if that wallet address really belong to you. Your account his history of deposits, and once they found that the address was deposited once, that means it already belonged to you and any further deposits coming in should be credited to you.

Thanks for the warning anyway, I don't know but I think I have tried it before, but most of the time when I take a loan, I'm using my exchange wallet address but make sure to verify it before I post it in the lending thread.

This is not new warning but I think people might need to be reminded about this after experiencing this personally just now. I recently made a loan using a casino wallet address, I check the wallet address if it’s the same before I ask the loan and I confirmed that it was the same.
While not a new warning, I think it's important to warn on a scale that always make sure the deposit address is correct before making a deposit.
A casino's deposit address usually changes. If you don't check when you want to make a deposit, it could be a mistake that doesn't come from the casino because the casino may have also informed you via email.

To avoid high transaction fees on the Bitcoin network, I started using an exchange address and it got to a time when they updated the address and I lost some Bitcoin, thankfully it wasn't much but I was unable to recover the Bitcoin, I feel at ease because the amount isn't much but I got scared after thinking about what if I sent a lot of Bitcoin into the wallet?

I reached out to exchange customer services and they don't even care, they ask how much and that's it, I replied but they never got back to me, when I told a friend who's close to me, he said the amount is too small for them to even waste their time on, that if it's much they would help.

My mind was on, what if they don't help? Since that day I have learned to always go back and check the address if it's still the same old address before sending any Bitcoin to the address, be careful trusting crypto wallets from exchanges or any online casinos, those addresses are not permanent.

A wrong move on your part was to take the casino deposit wallet as loan accepting address. We always tell others to use a personal wallet for this and not be in a hurry to start playing. Old deposit addresses are usually retained but you cannot count on the casino to be able to always track them. This is the mistake that could have prevented the entire scenario.

Anyway, since the problem has been resolved, I hope you dont take any more loans to gamble and if you do take them to your own wallet first and then send the money to the casino.

Most importantly don’t use casino wallet address to receive funds that has a delay such as loan money and campaign payments since there’s a chance that they will update their wallet address without prior notice. Keep safe and have fun.
Yeah these are very important lessons not just for you but for each and every one of us. You are quite lucky that the casino you use has some integrity and efficient customer support. About the wallet address change, aren't supposed to get a notification from the casino about this update?

But still its a happy ending in his case since the casino consider to help him to solve that issue so its good for people to avoid committing the same mistake as what OP did since for sure we will be stressed out experiencing the same situation.

Much really better if people check their addresses since what OP experience is avoidable mistake and we can eliminate those possibilities to happen if we are aware that certain situation like that happens so there's something to learn from his experience.

I admit that sometimes I'm not checking my casino wallet address but for reading this case for sure I will always check to see if there's changes happen.

The lesson here is always check the wallet address before you deposit no matter how long do you use the same address. Most importantly don’t use casino wallet address to receive funds that has a delay such as loan money and campaign payments since there’s a chance that they will update their wallet address without prior notice. Keep safe and have fun.
Or it's better to make it a habit to copy the address directly from the account that you are using. That's what I am always doing to avoid any unexpected errors or such as what happened to you. There are updates that we will never know when to come and there's no guarantee that the funds we deposited will be returned. Luckily you have recovered the money that was sent to your account.

Isn't it weird that you have been using an address for a while and the platform changed the address without any of your action looks highly suspicious to me. You maybe given one new address after every successful deposit or you may be given one permanent address and it will be updated if it's mandatory like switching from Legacy to Segwit but it only happens after a warning.

Yeah right, It’s really strange to me that’s why it caught me off guard despite I’m a frequent gambler that usually copy manually my wallet address or check if I’m still using the current address.

This wallet address changes without warning is very dangerous especially that casino claims that they recover the fund out of good will meaning it was supposed to be lost. The only problem is the wallet change is done out of nowhere after I just check the address by myself before I made the loan here to verify that I use the address on that specific casino.

I guess that was totally a coincidence because you said your casino address got updated right after the loan amount was sent. If you copied the address some minutes later before the casino updated your address, it would have still happen like this. The only way you can prevent this kind of thing for your self is by using your personal wallet to receive the deposit before you send to the other destination address you want.

Many people are victim of this including me because during BTC network congestion I used my direct deposit address from Binance exchange and since then I have never change it to my previous address since the fee where too way higher than we expected so imagine how others could do as well maybe they might decide to use an address that will be very easier for them without going through stress and withdrawal issues. This post made me to think of changing my address maybe after this week finishes I will change to my normal address without using exchange address. You were lucky to have your fund restored back otherwise you could have gone through difficulty and tough time to have your fund credited to you account maybe there was no much complaint on the dev side that was why it is quickly restored.

This is actually an important warning to all who gambles on crypto based casino sites because sometimes a simple mistake and oversight as this can actually cost one their whole funds both in their wallet and probably their other funds which could be sent to them thereafter especially for those who don't check on their wallet address too often enough. So you don't get to loose your funds it's important you always check on your wallet often because in some cases where the casinos don't have an effective and responsive customer care response center, yo mama loose all your funds totally.

It's always much preferable to receive your campaign funds with a wallet that's not attached to an exchange or even a gambling site but you can transfer from your personal wallet to the wallet you have gotten on any other platforms but don't use them to receive funds as it's not safe enough.

To make the story short. The balance is not credited but after a lengthy discussion with the support and after sending proof that my old wallet address is still the same when I made the deposit(loan) then they recover my funds out of good will.
Some casinos would have used the opportunity to stress you but it is great to hear that your casino returned your funds after recovery. Some would have made you go through a rigorous process which might include some unbelievable KYC process. But you should suggest to them to always give notice before the change of wallet if it is not an emergency action.
The lesson here is always check the wallet address before you deposit no matter how long do you use the same address. Most importantly don’t use casino wallet address to receive funds that has a delay such as loan money and campaign payments since there’s a chance that they will update their wallet address without prior notice. This was a good observation but I thought the casino would have informed you that your address have been changed. I know that some exchanges always change the wallet address of it's customers but they always give them notice of this change and give them some time to make adjustments where necessary.

The problem comes when the loan is already sent while my casino wallet address update right after the loan amount sent. Take note that I’m using same wallet address since I play to this casino for about 3 years and they just update my wallet address some time after I post my loan request here.

To make the story short. The balance is not credited but after a lengthy discussion with the support and after sending proof that my old wallet address is still the same when I made the deposit(loan) then they recover my funds out of good will.

To be honest, I think casinos that update their deposit addresses are kinda suspicious.
This is probably the easiest way to get scammed. You send the crypto to the casino wallet address, but the casino changes the address and starts claiming that the funds were never received. Good luck trying to prove that you sent the crypto to the right address.
You were lucky in you case, because the casino didn't try to scam you. What's the point for a casino to update their wallet addresses? I've never made the mistake of receiving BTC payments directly in services like crypto exchanges and crypto casinos. I always receive my payments in my own BTC wallet first.

Wait... why you take a loan for gambling? I believe most people know gambling using loan is really bad.

Shit happen to you, many centralized sites weren't updating the deposit address for long time, they just update it after few months or years, even though they didn't notify their customers. Glad the casino still want to recover your coins.

Yes it is good to check and also check again and check carefully that the deposit address is correct. Even people that are no more newbies may send to wrong address because after sending coins to so many addresses for long term period, this will let them not to be checking the address they are sending to but which is wrong.

You send borrowed money to a gambling site address. Hope you are not addicted. Why borrowing to gamble?

I lost a few hundred dollars due to this mistake... I even got the chain wrong a couple of times and with the help of the casino team it was resolved, but not everyone is willing to help. This is a mistake that happens mostly (at least in my case) when we are doing several things at the same time and in a hurry.

So yes, people should always double (triple) check the addresses both when we send and when we receive coins. Sometimes this mistake can be corrected, but in more cases, it will be just a waste of money.
