It's a pity for those who love using a casino deposit address to participate in any campaign or use the address for a collection of loan most people fails to understand that those site update their addresses or it expires after some certain duration new address will be generated for users to enable them reduce the rate at which their transactions are being monitored. Most time it's good to use a wallet that you own and control the seed phrase to be sure of your funds do not apply any loan or campaign with address you don't have a personal access to it.

Double-checking wallet addresses is definitely a smart move even if you've been using the same one for ages. It's great that you were able to recover your funds after some discussion with support. Thanks for sharing your experience OP. Its a valuable lesson for all of us to stay sharp and cautious when dealing with money online. Keep safe and keep enjoying your gaming responsibly

This is not new warning but I think people might need to be reminded about this after experiencing this personally just now. I recently made a loan using a casino wallet address, I check the wallet address if it’s the same before I ask the loan and I confirmed that it was the same.

The problem comes when the loan is already sent while my casino wallet address update right after the loan amount sent. Take note that I’m using same wallet address since I play to this casino for about 3 years and they just update my wallet address some time after I post my loan request here.

To make the story short. The balance is not credited but after a lengthy discussion with the support and after sending proof that my old wallet address is still the same when I made the deposit(loan) then they recover my funds out of good will.

The lesson here is always check the wallet address before you deposit no matter how long do you use the same address. Most importantly don’t use casino wallet address to receive funds that has a delay such as loan money and campaign payments since there’s a chance that they will update their wallet address without prior notice. Keep safe and have fun.

I would use another approach, get the loan that you requested to some wallet that you own and then from there you can send to the casino where you play from 3 years to enjoy your session.I know that this way you spend more in fees but it is better to spend and sacrifice a little amount in fees and be absolutely sure that no one can change your wallet address in Electrum wallet for example rather than relying on the casino deposit wallets,I know many people use those wallets and I also do some time but you never know what to expect from them, maintenance, change of address and they have made it clear to us that these things can happen,so better to use your own wallet where you are 100% sure.

This warning is important. The thing is that you cannot rule out mistakes in human living. I have credited the wrong account in the past and that incident just flashed back when I saw this topic. I wasn`t happy and I had to write to the casino through their customer care but they couldn’t help out since it was negligence on my part. Since then, whenever I want to make any deposit I take my time to crosscheck the address even though it has been automatically saved I still make sure it is the right address. I don’t want to repeat the same mistake.

One of the ways to avoid this is to save the address to the casino account to avoid inserting the address anytime you want to make a deposit. If the casino has such a feature then utilize it but if the casino does not have such a feature due to security reasons as most will claim then don’t be in a hurry when making a deposit. Give it all your attention.

I think you are quite lucky because the casino doesnt use a 3rd party payment gateway like coinpayments, so they can solve the problem straight away.
If they use third party services, it will certainly take time to resolve this problem.
It could take 1-2 weeks or maybe more depending on the response from the payment gateway company.

This is true base on my experience, my deposit on local casino that use 3rd party payment    got stuck for a long time just because it expires already before my transaction confirmed due to increasing fee on Bitcoin network while I use wallet that doesn’t support RBF to bump my fee.

But most of the crypto casino available in the forum use internal wallet to all their deposits that’s why it’s easy for them to recover transactions but some casino consider it a loss if you use old address which the casino doesn’t support anymore due to their upgrade.

Isn't it weird that you have been using an address for a while and the platform changed the address without any of your action looks highly suspicious to me. You maybe given one new address after every successful deposit or you may be given one permanent address and it will be updated if it's mandatory like switching from Legacy to Segwit but it only happens after a warning.

Yeah right, It’s really strange to me that’s why it caught me off guard despite I’m a frequent gambler that usually copy manually my wallet address or check if I’m still using the current address.

This wallet address changes without warning is very dangerous especially that casino claims that they recover the fund out of good will meaning it was supposed to be lost. The only problem is the wallet change is done out of nowhere after I just check the address by myself before I made the loan here to verify that I use the address on that specific casino.

No reputable casino have such kind of actions towards giving deposit address as far as I know so you check whether they mentioned about their unwarned address change in their ToS and most likely it won't be there which means there is something going on and if you have alternative casinos then better play where you are comfortable instead of risking your money again there.

Yes, it's best to just use a personal wallet so that it's easier to send it wherever we want, if you use a third party wallet, whether it's a casino or an exchange site, they are very vulnerable to changing the user's deposit address, but in my experience, exchange sites will usually notify their users via email that there has been a change in the deposit address so that there is no confusion and problems like this, it could be that the casino has notified you and you missed their email because it is impossible for them to just change your deposit address without notification.

But this is a good warning for beginners, usually they are sometimes careless in this matter, but I don't mean that you are a beginner, but in most cases the average beginner often makes small mistakes like that, after all using a personal wallet would be better than Using a third party, especially from loan funds, may be problematic if later the funds cannot be recovered by the casino, obviously it is very dangerous, my one suggestion is that every gambler should need to open their email all the time so as not to miss information on changes to their deposit address.

This has never happened to me personally. I know some sites switch up deposit addresses regularly, or let you ask for a new one if you want.  But usually the old ones still work too, in my experience anyway.

A change after using the same address for a while could mean the casino did some kinda upgrade.  Maybe they beefed up security or got a new wallet system to take deposits. But if it was me, I'd hit up their customer support to double check I'm sending my money to the right spot next time.  Just to be sure.

Wait... why you take a loan for gambling? I believe most people know gambling using loan is really bad.

Finally! Someone brought this up. Hahahaha!

I experienced similar situation but it was happened in an exchange service where my wallet address is changed but the exchange did not notify me about the change (I saved the address in a notepad)
Luckily the exchange is responsible and friendly enough so they helped me and I receive the coin after a short communication with the live support.
Lesson learned, I stop my habit to save an address in a notepad or somewhere else, it is better for me to open my account first (whether exchange or casino) to copy the address directly from the account.

I say, it's one in a thousand chances that it could happen, idk if i will say it's really a bad luck since you already resolve it.

More like, always check the wallet address on the deposit page of the platform either it's an exchange, or casino every time you want to make a deposit or receive from someone. And yes, if it's not for casino deposits then don't use the deposit address likewise if it's not for an exchange funds.

Checking the wallet address is a must thing before we sends the money to the casino or other. We may seen this experiences many time and not just one because the casino will adjust their system maybe that's because to improve the security. We must make sure that everything is under control so we don't gets any problem when we playing gambling.

It's a reminder to us to always makes sure the wallet address before we deposit so we don't send to the wrong address. Thanks for the reminder @OP.

using reliable services for this type of deposit is the minimum... personally, I am considering this is one as one of my biggest "fears" when making a deposit on an online service (casino, exchange etc...)
solution? take screenshots where you can clearly see the deposit address, the date and time. Always check after "pasting" whether the address matches....

After read @OP's story, this is not about always check the address, but don't use address from centralized sites when you/someone can't send the coins ASAP. @OP didn't make mistake since he posted his address, it will different case if @OP copied a wrong address and send it to the lender.

To be safer, it's better to use your own non custodial wallet to receive the coins.

This is true, not only for casino accounts but also for exchange accounts. I try to stick to best practices when it comes to crypto and just copy addresses freshly every time I want to make transactions. Some services will ask for the address to be whitelisted, don't. Only very platforms will bother to help you recover your money and the time wasted going back and forth.

Also, don't forget to cross check the last 4-6 first, last and some middle numbers to confirm it's a match before confirming a transaction. On rare occasions, this practice might come in handy.

Yes while depositing you must double check the deposit wallet otherwise you may lose money. also when you copy the wallet check it well that the wallet is copied correctly or not. one time I made such a mistake was when depositing a token to an exchange I mistakenly sent the tokens to the token's contract address. and I lost them. Since then I have been very careful about these things and I always check the addresses carefully before depositing anything. Because in the case of cryptocurrency, once a transaction is successful, it can never be reversed

This happened to me as well, not on a gambling platform but rather on Binance. I never received any communications about changing addresses or any of that stuff, but I still had my account change its receiving/deposit address and send some funds to it. Luckily, Binance was able to transfer those funds to my new address and everything went smoothly.

I understand that upgrades in these platforms do happen. What I don't understand is why they are not releasing communications about the change to their members. A simple email outlining the changes is already a huge help but no, they will just randomly put links for you to click and hopefully read what's change and what's staying.

If you're not using a wallet that you can control, be sure to always double check the deposit address I always make it a point to do that because some platform are not notifying their users about the changes or updates of the wallet, its a big hassle and issue if you happened to sent to address that they've already placed.
You should do this at all times even at the wallet that you can control because there is such a thing as clip malware.
Checking the deposit address will only takes a minute or two you have to check the first 4 digit and the 4 last digit.

Thanks for the reminder. Changing of wallet address by casino and exchanges without any notification is not good. I am happy that you were able to get your funds back, because they know that the money is in your old wallet asdress. I don't think anyone that is not being paid directly to his casino wallet address, should use their casino wallet address to receive payment, only if you intend using all the money to gamble.

I had similar issues last month with my exchange waaler address. It was change unknown to me, and I transferred funds from my noncustodial wallet to the exchange. I didn't see my funds there, when the transaction has been confirmed for over 6 hrs. This was when I took my time to go through the exchange, and I discovered that they money was in my old address which I had to do it manually for it to reflect, which took close to 10 minutes.

Always check, and re-check the address before sending funds into it or use it to receive funds.

I once lost around $500 because I gave my deposit address wrong. Since then I double check the deposit address. And I think the address is not properly checked while making the deposit And it's very unwise to be in a hurry when making a deposit. I lost $500 that day because I did this stupid thing myself. What I originally did was replace one blog chain with another blog chain address.
