If AMBER pays this dividend a week or two late there are some people dumping their Amber at 30% of its value who are going to wish they didn't.  If you have the BTC available it may be worth buying some of this up from the panic sellers.  Even if AMBER only goes back to 50% of its previous value you can make some good money.

I am not betting the farm but I have put a toe in the water.  I think we are in an oversold condition now which means this is a buying opportunity for the brave.  I expect some additional downward pressure but that will reverse quickly is the dividend paid.

Honestly, the dividend is a bonus for a pretty good coin even without the dividend.

just please be patient or wait until the dev online

i think this situtions just for while...

if they want scammed us ,not like this way

sometimes i wonder why people using their fear to make conclusions

personaly if i have enough money i will use this good chances to buy more Ambercoin...

maybe we never found this chance like this in future

I agree that we either be patient or just get out of AMBER.    But people have a reason to be scared.  Dividends were not paid as expected and the value of AMBER dropped by more than 50% and its still dropping.  I assume panic selling has taken over so people are fulfilling their worst fears.

I've been mining various coins for over 2 years so I can be patient.  At the same time, there is a very good reason to be concerned if you bought AMBER at more than double its current value.

Ambercoindev, your silence is scaring us. Please can you just reassure us that indeed dividends will be paid as planned? Thank you!

Website will be up as soon as we recover DB after the HDD failure on hosting provider's side.
They have lost both an actual site's DB and its backup.
We are trying to restore it in manual mode.
That's why it takes such a long time.

I think it is too early to say the dividends are late. By this post from August:
AMBER TRADE LTD Q3 2015 DIVIDENDS PAYOUTS

dev could you make announce for it?
when will be calculate?when payouts?
i think 1st october you will calculate and around 4th-6th you will pay. am i right?

No.
As usual.
05.10 -            Q3 actual share calculation
15.10-20.10 -  Q3 company's profit calculation
20.10-25.10 -  Q3 didvidends payouts
If the dividend payout ran tomorrow, then it isn't late.

Let´s hope , but it was announced the dividends being late.
That alone drove it´s share/coinprize down to 6150 sat, with little to no buysupport across the exchanges.

All other things are done on schedule. If the dividend payout ran tomorrow, then it isn't late.
Also, if AmberCoinDev pays out this dividend, this marks the total dividend paid out exceee the amount of investment, hence proving it is not a ponzi scam.
Myself have bought almost 400 AMBER from this low price by withdrawing all funds from all sites. If I got a single satoshi, I would send them to exchange and buy AMBER too. Why there aren't others taking the profit?

Smell the glove.
I have a question... Why are you doing math that depends on bitcoin price being constant from the moment the round was announced until it finished? Seems like a woefully inacurate way to calculate.

Actually, BTC price has been pretty constant this year, good thinking though - respect.
My figures could be adjusted to reflect a 10% variance.

I've asked my questions of AmberCoinDev - let's see how he responds.

To be clear, I not only invested, I held the coin when it approached $0.04 USD.
I figured if I dumped, it would be bad for everyone - and that proved to be correct.

The fast remains -
If AmberCoinDev is paying speculative dividends from coin sales of this 90% pre-mined coin - it's not good.
I just don't see how a reasonable person would think I'm being unreasonable asking these simple questions.
After all, I'm still on the shareholder's list and was for Q2 and Q3.

To be honest, if the price stabilizes and round 6 sells, I may consider re-investing.
That's even without a dividend.

Look at it this way, if all my questions/concerns get resolved - won't that look FANTASTIC to other investors and potentially drive the price up?
I'm not asking unreasonable questions, or accusing anyone of fraud.

If legit questions are stirring the pot, then so be it.

I'm not leaving until my questions are answered.

Okay, it sucks that Ambertrade is delaying dividend payouts.  Realistically if a company on the stock exchange delayed dividends it would end the stock down like a turn from a flying bird.  So the drop in price of Amber coins is expected no matter how disappointing. Also, keep in mind that it does not take much selling off to drop the price by 50% which is what happened.  I have seen this with many coins, including Bitcoin.  The volatility of alt-coins is one the problems that makes it an undesirable investment but especially a currency.

But to clear up some comments I've read here, shareholders DO NOT decide what dividends will be or whether they are paid at all.  The company, usually the board of directors, makes that decision based on a number of factors starting with profits and cash flow.

At this point, we have either a warning signal or a great opportunity to buy AMBER at a price we have not seen in a long time.  The company is saying dividends are only delayed.  I am going to be careful but I am not going to sell off what I mined.  I may buy a little at a time based on the next few days.

Here are some interetsing numbers:
AmberCoin sales in USD from the 39,200,000 coins to be sold:
Round 1: $80000 @0.02 USD each
Round 2: 12500  @0.025 USD each
Round 3: 15000  @0.03 USD each
Round 4: 20000  @0.04 USD each
Round 5: 11250  @0.045 USD each (finished on 10/11/15)
Round 6: BIG FAT NADA, ZERO. @0.05 USD

Total coins sold in USD $138,750, total dividends $120,034.

What's important to note here is that AMBER coin sales are currently LESS than dividend payouts.
When that's no longer true, do you think AmberCoinDev or Amber Trade LTD are going to pay dividends, or keep the profits from past sales they've accumulated in BTC?
This is why I sold my AMBER, at a 180% percent profit, which may increase if the Q3 dividend is paid.

If AmberCoinDev is paying older investors with the sale of new coins, that is the very definition of a Ponzi scheme.

Questions anyone?

Notice that Amber Trade has already paid almost 50k $ in dividends Q1 and Q2

If you sold everything, why are you still writing here? You are not helping at all. Most of shareholders understood the situation (only 3 from over 130 sold their AMBER), it's normal that sometimes problem s happen, the same was many times oven with bitcoin. Problem will be solved, hopefully in the nearest future. Payments is only postponed, have no evidence that will be another way, DEV is still active. Let him work.

They not have to be sad, could be a financial decison.

Given that somone bought in early, let´s asume he bought 20k coins @8600sat

He staked until now and staked let`s say 5000 coins.

.

He dumps his 25k coins @ (lets say 7000).

Plus dividends = he made profit

Add this 180k down to 130k investor to the dumper list http://amber.explorer.ssdpool.com:9146/address/AXMtGRkpYVkZSArHCBre3To3qimzyWsiAD

Yes, some shareholders did sell some of their coins off, but are still shareholders.  When I checked yesterday the net change of all the shareholders combined was: -20,468.38

This shareholder you referenced had sold 21,354 coins when I did this check.
I have just finished checking all the balances again and this shareholder has sold another 30,000 since.
(A total of 51,354 coins, as you mentioned.)

However since I did the last check, the combined purchases and sales of the Q3 shareholders is up 13,293.75.

So the net buys/sells of all the Q3 shareholders since the dividends were announced is now only: -7,174.64

There are still only three shareholders that sold off all of their Amber.

Keep the faith - in the blockchain we trust

Just for you information, I moved approx 17k coins out of my wallet, on exchange, but I don't want to sell them Wink
So you can add 17k coins to get approx 10 000 coins "buy" since the announcement

As of about 12 hours ago, I used one of the blockchain explorers and checked every shareholder's current balance against the balance they held in the Q3 dividend spreadsheet.

Only three shareholders panicked and sold all of their coins since it was published.

These were:

#68 - APBHafBLV3rW7WMxezq6Sq2QdqVg21HFAJ - was 13,537 coins, now 1.66
https://www.blockexperts.com/amber/address/APBHafBLV3rW7WMxezq6Sq2QdqVg21HFAJ

#76 - AYBvqfqiiGVjMC7T97k5iEvthU2dWEeHxt - was 10,184 coins, now 0
https://www.blockexperts.com/amber/address/AYBvqfqiiGVjMC7T97k5iEvthU2dWEeHxt

#105 - AdZf1xh8aFcTMVMEBx5mSuY55BRFfanmwV - 24,846 coins, now 6.47
https://www.blockexperts.com/amber/address/AdZf1xh8aFcTMVMEBx5mSuY55BRFfanmwV

Since Q3 dividends were announced, the buys and sells of all the combined shareholders getting a Q3 dividend (including three above) had a total net change of: -20,468 coins

The dumping is being done by people that are not shareholders yet.  If you have any doubts I encourage you to check my findings.  It can be done quite easily.

too sad when they are sad because seeing ambercoin price is down with dramatically,,, thus making them be misunderstand if ambercoin will be scam

everyone who dump ambercoin until balance approach 0 in wallet like as people who give up halfway. I wish they are getting profit when dumping ambercoin by them. so they aren't sad  Cry
