VMC and AMC will be making a joint announcement this coming Thursday about
their Research And Development.

Timer removed. End time: 2013-06-27+18:00:00

Silly question maybe: Where will this announcement get published?

In this thread or at VMCs website?

Still wild and free
which will receive a total of 100% of the company's virtual-currency profits after all expenses until the total dividends paid is equal to the offering price of .0005

Does it mean that once we get 0.0005 in dividends, the company can just stop paying dividends at all? Does not make sense if you buy at 0.0025.

Seems to me like the demand BTC-TC is higher than on BitFunder, where sellers are asking for prices negligibly lower than 0.0025, which suggests some shareholders are trying to move their investments to BTC-TC. Where do AMC shareholders prefer to trade?

There's more money over there, and no one (as of yet) that has bought below .0025 (no undercutting).

So as of right now there are 40,000,000 shares issued for the time being in total. Out of those 20,000,000 shares will be retained by AMC to maintain a growth and expansion fund. Right now is there a total of 7,000,000 on the market? Where can we see how many shares have been opened up for trading?

So how many shares are issued now? Is that 40,000,000 + 2,000,000 (being issued now at bitfunder) + 2,000,000 (being issued now at btct)?

No one answered my question. But this is what i am thinking now.

40,000,000 shares issued.
---
20,000,000 shares for growth and expansion
5,000,000 early adopter shares originally issued
2,000,000 early adopter shares 2nd round
2,000,000 bitfunder amc-pt btct.co shares
---

So we have 11,000,000 shares still available if needed?

Sounds about right, don't forget that the 4mil on bitfunder and btct are for a large part still in Ken's hands.

The 5 million on BTC-TC are part of the 40 million issued on BitFunder. 40,000,000 shares issued total.

Agreed, but it is hard to say that they have significant development advantages on making more efficient chips than BFL, VMC, BitFury, Avalon, etc... But certainly ASICMINER has a proven track record on stream lining production.

Yep, that's why they only increase their hashrate a minimal amount. Each time they do it, costs them higher and higher. Up to a point where 110nm won't cut it anymore.

They are basically trying to get as much BTC as possible from selling their current tech, while they still can.

Science!
The facts as I see them are ASICMINER is leading the field in BTCmining right now, but they offer little transparency as to future plans, excepting that they intend to keep 10% of the Network hashing power and sell some hardware. AMC, to date, has been much more transparent about its intentions, and, though, they are ambitious, it seems that sustained interest from investors may bring those plans to fruition. It's a risky speculative investment, but I think a lot BTC investors are looking for big successes not small.

EDIT: BTC10,000 round of funding now:
17.22% complete

I'd argue Asicminer is mostly interested on capitalizing hardware sales as much as possible, while keeping the hashrate as constant as possible (~fixed network %).

This allows them to have a steady income for buying hardware to sell, while at the same time maximizing the price they sell their hardware at (if they increase their own hashrate too much, they have to sell the hardware cheaper overall).

I don't think anyone is expecting any 'mind blowing' news. The 'problem' the way I see it is that at current valuation, the company is already valued as a mature and profitable ASIC reseller. Hell, if you weight in the total dilution of 100.000.000 shares @ current price we are looking at 25 MILLION USD company that currently only own about $1 million in capital (if the new shares sell) and a few Avalon clones and chip orders.

You are overlooking the fact that AMC is a mining company. The value is in the mining operation and the dividends paid to shareholders not in the companys assets or capital.
