Do you recommend the sapphire nitro+ 570 4gb/8gb ? or is there a better option for the 570s ?
Not really maybe cheaper. I like Asus Strix, best cooling I've ever seen, so silent, but no memory heatsink. They are almost all same. If you are lucky you will have Samsung memory.

I finally put my hands on 1 x RX 470 MSI Gaming and 5 x RX 570 (2 x MSI Gaming, 2 Gigabyte Gaming and 1 Asus Strix). It is really hard to find RX cards nowadays.

I also ordered Asus Z270-P mobo.

It looks like I will need all the information in this thread.

I aim to make 25-26 mh/s per card or 150-160 Mh/s in total. I want a relatively cold and silent rig.

Of course I will accept higher rates to make my total around 170 Mh/s if the cards allow and the noise and heat are acceptable as this will be a house rig.

I wonder if I can make this rig run with a 1000W Platinum PSU or 1200W is required.

Some says for only ETH 1000W is OK but not for dual mining with some other coin.

I ordered a Corsair HX1200i but expected delivery is in 2-3 weeks.

I want to start mining asap.

Alternative: I can start digging with 2x Evga 850 G2 PSU (add2psu)

Aorus RX580 8GB Samsung - has anyone had any luck getting the hash rate above 27 MH/S?  If so, can you share your settings/BIOS mod?

Thanks.

Hello
What is the best model of 580 to get samsung ram ?

Does memory errors really affect mining performance? I have 3 Msi 580 Armor 8Gs with Samsung memory that Ive been struggling to push it above 30mh without 2200mhz memory. I have copied 1:1750 straps to 1:2000. Currently doing 1250/2200 and it gives me 30.5mh, even though it is giving me like 10-50k memory errors/min. Power consumption is like 87W from GPUZ and around 140W combining the two values in HWinfo. Is my power consumption good? I can't get it below 0.938v though.

Find performance timings and use Uber Mix 3.1.
The best for Samsung memory. I'm mining XMR and this gave me 850h/s instead of 750h/s also with lower memory clocks only 2100MHz.

I have copied those timings to 1:1500 1650 1700 2000. What I get is 30mh 1245/2100mhz. Without memory errors at all. But no matter what clock I increase it to, it doesnt seem to increase hashrate at all.

More than likely, your increase in memclk isn't being applied.

It was applied according to Hwinfo.

After a lot of reading in forums and a thousand unsuccessful bioses I made a bios for Sapphire Pulse RX 580 4GB(Hynix): 30.8-31.3 ETH and 430-410 SC on dual with 120-130W on GPU-Z; Core clock: 1167; Mem Clock: 2150; Driver: 17.5.2. On single is 30.9-31.3 on 80-90W. Stable since 14 hours on two rigs.

Has anyone something better for this card?
Hi, I`m also with the same cards, but can't push them above 26mh. Can you share what you did to achieve 30+mh.

Card: Sapphire Pulse RX 580 4GB(Hynix)

Well, TIL.

MSI Afterburner and Trixx can share a garbage bin. Clocking and undervolting in Claymore itself was mighty successful (and easy). 30 Mh/s dual mining using under 100 watt and under a healthy 60 degrees. Still not happy about the amount of SIA I'm receiving and I wish to bring the memory errors down a bit, but I'm certain I'm on the right track.

No more jealously reading about other miners successes  Cheesy

Thanks for this! I'll get right on it! Power consumption will probably remain higher until... a MSI issue. Even -100 in afterburner doesn't get the cards under 125 mining ether alone. I was thinking of clocking the GPUs in Claymore itself, see if the cards will finally accept a lower power draw. These beasts have 2 x 8 pin power cables though, and with a single one the system won't boot regrettably.
6 strix cards are on the way here, excited!
Strix are very good, only the memory cooling :/ But no problem so far. My Strix have Elpida memory they aren't bad, but Samsung is much better. But you might be lucky and get Samsung. All Asus Dual have Samsung what I have, but there is again no cooling for memory and the cooling system isn't that good as Strix one. Strix is absolutly silent!

2x 8pin really? My RX 470 Strix has 1x 6pin and RX 480 Dual has 1x 8 pin. Only 2x 6pin has my R9 380 Nitro.

No only to 2000. I have RX 480 Asus Dual 8GB it has standard 8000MHz clock. Also it's safer if something goes wrong with the timing it will only crash when the memory is on the max. If you have 7000MHz so you are totaly fine only if you overclock it may crash.
I don't have MSI, now I'm using only Asus Dual and Asus Strix - the dual is very cheap but Strix have much better cooling. Also neither of them have memory cooling so it's better use performance timings instead of higher clocks.
I suppose you have RX 5xx series? They have bad TDP you can try lower it in bios. Or unlock voltage control in Afterburner or whatever you use and try -50mV. Asus Dual can go to max -100mV (the max I can downvolt, it need bios mod I think). The MSI Afterburner shows after lowering voltages and overclock 1350MHz/2100MHz use only about 80-90W I think I said max TDP to 120W in bios.

The newest one doesn't work on my old cards, probably because they have modded bioses, does anyone know how to get them to work?

Hey guys, what drivers are you using currently? Im getting an MSI Rx 580 soon and I would like to add it to my rig of RX 480/470 with modded bioses, what drivers shall I install? I'm currently on 16.x

The newest one, but I'm mining XMR so it depends... I'm not sure if RX 5xx is working with 16.x versions.

@Mattthev,

Did you paste the uber mix in both 1750 and 2000 as I did?
I wonder if keeping the original 1750 might be better.

My only problem is voltage/power consumption. But that seems to be a current issue with the MSI X+ gaming cards, sadly.

Dual mining is poor too, about 25 hashes if I lower power consumption to 150/160 per card. Mining only Ether 30+ hashes is 'easy' with the uber mix.

Hi! I've just bought a Gigabyte RX580 G1 Gaming 4GB (Hynix). I get around 22-23 mhs on stock (24,5 with 2100 memory clock). After I copied the 1750 timing to 2000 I get 26-27 mhs. It has a really high power consumption (140-150w) and I can't get more than 1100 mhz core clock. I've set it to 1200 mhz in afterburner and it's still running on 1050-1100 unless I change the power limit to 155-165w (+10-15%). Any suggestion how can I increase my hashrate/lower the power consumption?
