What are some of the coins people are currently mining on their Ryzen? I am not really finding much that isn't over $0.55 at the moment(on a 1500x).

Wavi or Wabi? Cause google is showing me wabi.

I know nothing about it yet but I just had to tell Google that, yes, I did indeed mean "wavi coin" and it gave me the top result:

Anyone(besides those with TR) cpu mining still?

Yeah sure! I got a 1800x and im mining Wavi coin! Check it out, there is an announcement page here on bitcointalk. Its a CPU coin, they want to remove ASICs and bring back CPU mining to the community. I Love that message so i support them by mining them Grin

With Ryzen 7 1700 I will reach 10,000 RAC on Rosetta Cancer Research project

BiblePay (BBP)
- 10% mined coins always go to Charity (already sponsoring 200+ Orphans monthly)
- ASIC-Resistant like Vertcoin/Groestlcoin (CPU Mining Only)
- fork of DASH (Masternode Governance, Proposals & Voting), 10% Monthly Budget for IT/PR/P2P Live
- Proof of BibleHash (POBh) algorithm, All Nodes are Full Nodes

Launched July 23rd 2017, Market Cap $1-2 million

At monerobenchmarks there is some one stating a 1800H/s for a threadripper 1950x, anyone as a clue how to achieve this numbers?

I get between 1000 and 1200, 1300 peak. I just leave it running and it varies overtime but I tend not to worry about pc side hashing any more, I look at poolside hash rate. Since I compiled my own miner and took out mining fee it is much more stable and performant. Not sure I believe 1800H/s. I just use out of box settings and no overclocking

695 hash/s - don't go by "peak" numbers, go by AVERAGE numbers.
Also, that's some MAJOR OC to get to that point - some 1800x aren't going to manage to OC that far.

Which Ryzen is best when speaking about cost effectivity? Been playing with the idea of buying Ryzen just to mine since I don't play many games anyway.

I believe ryzen 5 1600 is at a Nice price point at the moment.

6 cores and a good stock cooler.
Should get you around 470-550H/s

New ryzen lineup will release in april so maybe  you will  want to wait.
ryzen 5 1600 is 550 stock, 630-650 oce'd
ryzen 7 shoud be 730h/s moderate oc
I just reached 620H/s with Ryzen 7 at 3.7GHz and RAM at 3200.

Did you reached 700+ or are you just speculating, due the lower thread/core count between ryzen 5 1600 and ryzen 7?

Good result but too much oc and voltage. Better to lose 20-30h/s but save some wattage

Hi JesterBB!

Could you share a bit more about your setup. You seem to be running Windows 10 on your machine, and to be getting an average hash rate of around 700 H/s from what I can see on the pictures. What mining software are you using, and is this for the Ryzen 1800x solely? What currency are you mining?

Cheers!

JF

P.S. I just received my Ryzen 1800x and I am in the process of building my computer.

I connected to the internet via LAN, so no wifi. I had a feeling the hashrate was normal, but would it still be beneficial to switch over to xmrig over xmr; more so since I am also gpu mining?

You could try but i guess you want to mine diffrent coin on the gpus?
In that case just add this in your batch file : --NOAMD or --noNVIDIA

Code:
:start
timeout 45
xmr-stak -c electroneum.txt --noAMD
goto start

thats how it looks for me, the electroneum.txt that it refers to is the config file.
