To be honest with you, I don't think gambling with fake money through fake money gambling app will help an addicted gambler stop gambling, rather, it will only increase or intensify the urge to keep gambling with real money.
I will tell you how, imagine a scenario where you are gambling with fake money and along the line, you won let's say $50,000 in fake money, how would you react to that?
An addicted gambler will say to him or her self, "had this been real money, this $50,000 would have been a lot of money for me to spend".
That thought alone can drive that gambler into continuing to gamble with real money.
At the end of it all, you discover that the fake money gambling app only helped the addicted gambler to Stay away from gambling with real money for just a short period of time.
This is true but for those who got a little wiser, they will know that the situation can changed the moment they step in the real casino. The reason why they can won big in a fake game is that they are not afraid to bet big because they know that once they lose their play money, it will be refilled again after some time.

In other words, it is unlimited. Not unlike if you are betting in real life where you mostly came to the casino with a limited amount of money and you carefully budget it. It's fine if these fake gambling app/site can help us even in a short period of time but at least they can be used by the time, we don't have a money and we are itching to play gambling.

What is your opinion on Fake money gambling apps, do you recognize the potential I think they have to assist in reducing the number of gamblers who loose real money?

@Fivestar4everMVP and @Rruchi man you both are right, I think there is a better and a more lasting way to kill gambling addiction and gambling with fake money is not one of those quality and lasting way to kill addiction. But one of the things we should note is that, for what purpose is the gambler breaking away from gambling, is it because the gambler is losing money or because the addiction is taking a hold on their real life and affecting them negatively?
This question needs to be answered because, one needs to set the priority clear if a gambler wants to break an addiction then the best way is a total withdrawal from any form of gambling, and shift attention to another positive real-life activity.
But if the player wants to take a break because he loses money constantly then use the fake app with no real money to gamble and build the skills before going back to a real gambling platform to test out the skills build on the free app.

That will never happen. If a person decided to stop gambling because he realized that he already has a gambling addiction and it is progressing he will stay away from gambling and not play even with fake money because such a game is not able to resist addiction and most likely even aggravates the already deplorable situation.

I know a guy who lost a lot of money because of his gambling addiction and now he completely ignores it without even playing cards with his friends.
Those which have never been addicted to anything may feel that such a posture is too extreme but it is precisely what it must be done, the desire to go back to their old ways is too strong for those which were addicted to something, and as such anything that resembles the activity may be more than enough to lead them to that path again, so it makes sense that the person that you know does everything he can to avoid putting himself in a position in which he could fall victim of his addiction again.

No doubt, that's the reality inside you. Once you came from that kind of addiction, the eagerness once being triggered again will flow. It's something that, unexplainable but the lust will continue to flow on you. It's better to stay away completely and never to think of any alternative that is still associated with your addictions.

It is a have to keep yourself busy doing other things instead of trying to play, even using a play money.

The system inside you will lead you to play back using real money. It's unavoidable.

When a person plays with fake money he treats the risks very differently than when he plays with real money. In addition, during such a game he is less emotional, and as we know emotions have a very strong influence on our decisions. So I think that playing with fake money is about the same as drinking non-alcoholic beer and trying to get drunk.
The use of fake money in casino games will not affect the consideration of losses, emotional control and things that usually happen in gambling using real money. Just like a demo/simulation of gambling games for entertainment and we will get nothing but waste of time, thought and energy. You can check the thread "Biggest Wins with lowest risk in Casino History" because you have a chance to win jackpot for thousands of dollars even if your funds are less than $5.
the use of counterfeit money or coins that cannot be traded is tantamount to playing a game of bullshit. it's just for entertainment. some people use such gambling apps just to fill their spare time. don't think for a profit.
it will be different if the gambler uses real money that will disappear from his wallet. I think gamblers will be more careful in determining bets.

But drinking non-alcoholic beer makes you a bit drunk, doesn't it? Especially when you have a dry law' like we had recently where I live. Trust me, non-alcoholic beer is not nothing in that situation. Same with betting with fake money: if your balance is zero, maybe it can bring you some entertainment. But if you have even only $5 on your balance, betting with just 1 cent is much more fun than with fake money.
It will be a waste of time and waste of the energy.
This will not work anyway - fake money and fake happiness.
And we know and it would be common sense that people wont be wasting up their precious time with those fake money and fake winnings. We arent that dumb on making involvement
on something we know that it cant really be cashed out and its true about that fake happiness which you could really experience but not we do make ourselves excited because
we know that we cant benefit into those winnings since it was fake. When you are tending to quit addiction then it cant be possible on making yourself get involved
on playing even more even though it is fake funds but still it would really be molding up on the same gambling desire inside you which wont really be that an effective way on
quitting gambling in the first place.

Why would a former alcoholic person would go to a bar if he's trying to get rid of his alcohol problems, that same person will of course be exposed again and get himself back to zero after all that hard work he or she put into just to hold his/desires. The situation is not the same with an addicted gambler because every move you make even if it's just watching sports, you will be tempt because of the advertisement about the betting sites and its odds.

In a normal life lots of people go out and socialize at bars, so if the ex alcoholic wants to meet with some friends then he might end up in a bar.

Also any social occasions like weddings, parties, etc, might have alcohol available, so it's up to the ex alcoholic to not drink.

It's the same with the gambler, it's almost impossible to not have external factors showing you gambling stuff, it's up to the gambler to decide not to gamble, even though the person is exposed to it.

Will it be the same as a sober guy or the one who stopped smoking?
Because gambling will always be there, unlike for someone who stopped smoking cigarettes, after a year or 2 they don't like the smell of that smoke anymore, it makes them puke. I know from experience.
But gambling is different, when you watch sports it can trigger the desire to bet for your favorite team and most pay-per-view now shows advertisements for gambling like Draft Kings in NBA. Then, even the commentators are talking about how much the odds are for over and under total score.

I think they are a bit similar.

As long as you're exposed to the thing, there will probably be some kind of pull to do it.

For example, if the ex alcoholic goes to a bar, then he will probably have a beer.

The same with the gambler, if he watches a match, then he will probably will end up gambling on it.

I feel like removing yourself from the situation is probably the best way to not do anything addictive in the first place.

Gambling with counterfeit money cannot stop a gambling addict with real money. it is tantamount to enticing people to gamble with real money if they can win gambling with fake money. The sensation you get when you gamble with fake money will be different, if you play with real money, mental and emotional can affect the gambler's game, but not by gambling with counterfeit money.
In many ways, this is synonymous to trading on demo. No matterhorn much money you get to waste away, it doesn't entirely scares you off trading because, the agent real money, you keep on trying with an aim of building your strategy to enable you go live. That's the same sort of result i think would be the case in gambling with counterfeit money here. There isn't much emotion attached to it and you ca get over it in seconds in contrast to gambling with real money. The result we are most likely to get off gambling on counterfeit Mon is a familiarity with gambling and that would in turn defeat the purpose for which the app has been made.

Yeah that's another way of waking up a gamblers desire, even the intention is just watching once the lust of gambling got triggered the chance of coming back is possible, you needed to change the environment and avoid things that will allow you to re-think about any
gambling activities,

not easy unless you are willing to undergo with therapies and that self-will inside you is much bigger than any lust
and desire that you will be encountering along the way.

That will be a great struggle at first but eventually, you will be able to hold your desires easily even if you see some ads that shows great odds or something that will make you get into gambling again. Being open in the family about your situation will help you hold your desires because they already know what's good and bad to you, also they will expose you to another hobbies or environment to help you forget your gambling desires until you get used to it.

Prevention is better than cure, right? That's applies to this kind of situation if you wanted to stay away from this kind of activities

you better not to go or even come near to any kind of activities. It's better to find other ways of entertaining yourself and

change the tempo in order to fully quit away from this kind of vices. It depends on your own take and it's also on your own

If I don't want to bet with my money, I always use Fun Mode because the casino already provides this facility for us and we should also use it for our own good. I see the level of luck I have between using Fun Mode and Real Mode is not too far away and the results are likely to be almost the same. So I'm not motivated to continue using real money to gamble because I know I'm a person who easily deposits money into casinos to gamble and I want to avoid that Grin

Playing gambling can be fun and depends on how you can control yourself so you don't get caught up in gambling.

Playing in fun mode is the most boring thing to do inside the casino because only limited games offers this kind of feature while the majority of players preferred the table games and sportbook nowadays.

I will not waste my time on playing fun mode in the casino while there’s a lot of free gambling application that allows you to play all gambling games with other players using it without any limitation. In this way, you will not be tempted to gambling using money if you are away on the actual gambling site.
I don't think so because it will depend on how we can enjoy it when we play gambling. That's what people usually do who don't want to lose money and just want to enjoy their free time playing gambling. But they can still resist the urge to use real money because by using the fun mode, that's enough for them.

Many free gambling apps can let you play all the gambling games, which means you're also using fake money, right? Grin
