Thanks guys for helping me to take this decision. I hope my older investors arent sad about this. dont worry guys, things are looking good imho.

Update:

- We have 2 MineCraft servers online for you guys. More info at worldof1337.com . you earn point in-game that you can convert to 1337 and you'll be able to spend 1337 to buy points to buy in-game items or Upgrades and more.

- Stake2Play's payment gateway was put on hold temporarily. Website and graphic work continued. ETA is next weekend. I might start on the forums first. Currently too busy.

- 1337FAH.com Our Folding @ Home Initiative: Payments are delayed till next wednesday. Stanfords API is most likely not working correct atm. You guys are doing a great job!

- Linux wallet: the problem seems to be related to some dependencies in  ubuntu 16.xx versions. its running fine on 14.04. I'm currently consulting some other devs to find a solution once and for all. In the meantime, please use the windows wallet through a vm or use ubuntu 14.04

- League of 1337: I will organize a CS:GO Tournament for you guys. Its a Team game so you get to invite some of your non-crypto friends too if you want Smiley This is more of a friendly match but if everything goes smooth we will have some serious eSports Events coming up.

- Currency Symbol Contest: Is going great so far. Dont forget to enter your bitcointalk usernames. There was a little error which made it impossible to enter names with numbers in them but thats fixed. (Dont worry Vella Wink )  You can still vote and join the free lottery at http://www.surveylegend.com/s/bk0

- Online RPG: Im going to work with the dev of our Snake Game at https://playforcrypto.com/ on this project "what about a online multiplayer rpg game that is open world and has a bunch of different mini games in it that you can earn 1337 from and you can use 1337 to get special in game items" We're looking for a 3D Game Model Designer. PM me if youre interested.

Thats it for now folks.

Thanks for posting the latest updates on where 1337 coin is at Velvet and thanks for allowing me to vote again and enter in the lottery lol Did you see my vote with just my Bitcointalk user name as vella? lol I won't say too much about C-cex exchange but I can say that I have had problems with them in the past with a few coins and have since stopped using them. People just need to stick with Cryptopia and Nova for now until hopefully one day 1337 coin will be listed on Bittrex or Polo. Keep up the great work Velvet!

OOOK. Now my wallet self-destructed with over a million 1337's in it. "Assertion error c++ some thing". Is that a common error with a common solution ?

Windows 10. Avg and windows defender. Updated to latest version. Fail came after a reboot.

Do not ask me for debugging. I do not make this program!

PS: Apropos not debugging. Same goes for paccoin wallet. Can not load blkindex.dat.
Lucky for me there was no coins in that one.

Groestlcoin core. No problems.

Word is out.

Did you back up your 'wallet.dat' file? If you don't have a backup, navigate to C:/Users/AppData/Roaming/1337 and save a copy of the 'wallet.dat' file that is in the directory. It sounds like something was corrupted and you just need to repopulate your app data.

After you have your wallet.dat file backed up it's an easy fix. Just delete everything in your C:/Users/AppData/Roaming/1337 folder, reopen the 1337wallet.exe file to recreate the app data, then you just paste your backup wallet.dat file in the new C:/Users/AppData/Roaming/1337 directory.

You should then be back in business. I had this same error happen to me after my computer crashed while the wallet was syncing.

Here is a youtube explanation of the process. It's for Litecoin, but the error is the same and the process was identical for me.

The exchange is Cryptopia...which I have never had a problem with before.

cryptopia appears to be in sync with the network, you shouldn't be having any problems really

are you running the wallet on windows or linux? linux has some minor problems still but I've always found the windows version extremely good as i use it for my linux wallet
 when it has issues for faster syncs (delete blockchain from linux, sync on windows, transfer blockchain to linux) on the old version it happened every few days but on 1.8 im going a week or two between issues which is much better

All fixed a resync needed but all is well thanx for the help.

From now on i would like to ask everyone that has something to say about c-cex, related to 1337 or not, to please post it in c-cex thread or tweet them or send them a support ticket. Do not post it in here or pm me about it.

 Im the developer of a crypto-currency. im not affiliated with c-cex in any way. i try to make sure my coin works for everybody. if it would have been broke, id fix it or find someone to fix it. im not running a bank. i dont refund losses you encountered. if you buy coins on an exchange or send coins to there its your own choice and you put the responsibility of your holdings in the hands of the exchange owner(s). history has proven many times that's not always a good decision...

You need to be more specific about marked someone as a scam.
I have couple coins on C-Cex and have no any problem with them there, maybe is just an only problem with 1337 or few other currencies, so ti is not mean that is C-cex "stay away" exchange.
I know that Yobit have problem with many coins wallet, I had a problem with withdrawing 1337 on Yobit
You need to give us Concrete proofs about c-cex problem

wait, so c-cex is accusing me of being a scammer and covering the scam up by 'fixing block-explorers' and now you want me to proof that they are a scammer?? after i said to google it and find your own proof?? i honestly have better things to do sir. i work 7 days a week on this coin and building services around it that will hopefully be around for many years to come. make your own judgement. i gave up on communicating with c-cex a long time ago. that chapter is permanently closed for me now that theyve accused me of being a scammer. too absurd for words.

I just want to say, there are people very easily characterise someone like a scam. I have few values on c-cex, also on other exchanges and it is bog job for me if i need to transfer all my coins on first "scam accusation" smoke.
Okay, you are own 1337 and you say that is 1337 and c-cex they do not go together in the same sentence and i believe you as 1337 holder.
You just need to emphasise "1337 & c-cex - stay away" to be more clear

Hi all, i have missed this thread a long time and forget that i have some coins on c-cex but than i logged in and i see that the wallet is broken, but than i look at my wallet in the block explorer i see that coins are there.
Is there any chance to get that coins?
Here is URL for block explorer

You could send in a support ticket and ask them about your coins and see what they say.

Hello! The blockchain of this coin is broken. For more information please, read our statement about broken blockchain: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.18367923 Sorry, but we can't do anything about coin blockchain problems because it's not under our control.
What can i do now?

New answers from support :

Me : Do you tryed to use the latest version 1.8.0.0 of wallet? that version have fixed broken blockchain problem.
If you don't tryed or don't want to try the latest version of 1337 wallet i want get a wallet.dat file of my address LPmNGfza4Fv6H75F7SzG4Fch8VttyuTcpS
Support :
It is not about version. We have lot's of deposits which had confirmations. Now there is no confirmations and no coins on balance. 1337 blockchain were attacked and broken. Withdrawals are not possible anymore. They fixed block explorer but we have screenshots indicating negative balances on blockchain right after problem discovered.
Me : Can i get a wallet.dat file of my wallet to check it by myself on my desktop?
Support : We do not have wallet.dat for every user. It is same for all exchange users.
My coins are gone forever?
c-cex support says - It was broken at a certain time and that produced unrecoverable effect. Then blockchain was rolled back and they continue normally but they did not refund our loss. That's why "broken" effect is still here. We have real transactions from real blockchain which had lot's of confirmations and now they are invalid without compensation from developers.
so nobody can refund my coins?

"They fixed block explorer" C-Cex seems pretty good at coming up with very exciting scenario's why they cant simply return their users coins while the network is working for every other exchange. i dont run my own block-explorers, theyre all 3rd party explorers and not the cheap stuff either. c-cex also refused to hand over their wallet.dat file to me so i could sort it out for them. other ppl were able to get their coins after the 1.7 update. why not after the 1.8 update?

i think something completely different happened, their exchange is a broken piece of trash and they cant fix it. i know at least 2 people who were accidentally able to withdraw more coins than they had in their c-cex balance!! thats how they suffered a loss cause they didnt protect their users funds properly and someone exploited a vulnerability. mystery solved. pay out your users c-cex and dont make up fairytales! c-cex, its YOUR damn responsibility what happends to your users coins on your exchange...not mine!!

tl;dr Stay away from C-cex. search on google and see what kind of issues they had in the past. search on this forum too. this fairytale storytelling of them is totally ridiculous!

It's coming along nicely mate, I have also just re-tweeted this on Twitter. 1337 is slowly getting to where we need it to be and I think it's only a matter of time now before we start to see the price rise again. Looks like we are in accumulating mode before the price breaks out and heads back above 10 sats and maybe this time even hit 50 sats.

Thanks for the support as always mate Smiley  Velvet and aukekuiper did a great job. I agree and 10 sats is to be expected soon, slow and steady is always good.

No problem buddy, Like I have said I will always promote 1337 as much as I can in as many places as I can. I mainly use Twitter and have a good amount of followers so that's where I promote but I sometimes promote on Facebook but most people I have ain't into crypto currencies. I agree I think we'll see 10 sats per 1337 coin very soon. In the future 1337 coin could be the next DGB?

Hi all, I upgraded to 1.8 1337 wallet. I tried to transfer coins to my old wallet with no success. I upgraded the wallet to the latest version hoping to clear up the problem of the coin not being redeemed. No connection possible now. So I added nodes to the conf. file it connects but not for long. Has anyone else have a possible idea of what can be wrong?

Wallet connected now. Still deposits not coming through on the 1.8 wallet. What is going on?

Oh the blockchain is broken that would have made my decision to buy this coin quite different. Will it be fixed?

Now I understand it is not a broken blockchain but exchanges that are not using 1.8 wallet upgrade. Is this at all possible?

Yup, blockchain is just fine. What exchange did you transfer your coins from. Also, try the nodes below to see if you can restore some connections,

addnode=144.76.71.141:13373
addnode=213.239.208.169:13373
addnode=149.56.154.75:13373
addnode=34.209.204.201:13373
addnode=195.200.244.73:13373

Everything seems fine now....except stuck on block no. 953207 now. Have 7 connections? Can't figure this wallet out. Thanks for the help so far.
