Any new (reliable) pool?

Maybe take a look at this and set your own private one up https://github.com/CoiniumServ/CoiniumServ

Can I use this with S7 Bitmain miner???

miner.exe -o stratum+tcp://crunckspool.co.uk:3040 -u YOUR-WALLET-ADDRESS -p x

of course you can, perhaps would be more interesting using an higher difficulty port like 3264, try it and let us know how it is going, good luck

I would like to suggest to this really nice community to try to add 808 to another exchange, Cryptopia is a nice exchange but his volume is so low, i personally think this coin is a small masterpiece and deserve to be in the top 100
We've approached the team at Bittrex and other exchanges, if we had a more official representative in the community to suggest it would be great especially since we've hit the 1,000 satoshi price mark recently. We would love to get 808 added to another exchange, we don't have to many connections to those larger exchanges, one option is to raise the btc for a Bittrex add. They did not say no to a free add however, if 808 can offer more they will, we are working on potential custom game's and software for exclusive 808 coin's. Community building is my number #1 option however, an article I requested is also being published possibly within the next 24 hours. We will continue to grow and work on development, the best however comes from the community itself, thank you for honoring us!

Hey guys, around Sept 09 my 808 wallet lost ALL connections.  I made a config file with some nodes, but still getting no connections.  Is somebody else having this problem? I opened the wallet in a different computer and still it shows 0 connections.  Its been two days like this now.  Hope someone can help out with working nodes or info on this matter.  Cheers and TIA

https://www.block-genesis.com/index.php/currencies/

Push the "Nodes" button on the right and you will get the nodes list ready to copy paste on your conf file, if you are on windows check that your activate the folder option to show file extensions if you don't you will end up with a 808.conf.txt

thx a bunch. ill add those nodes to the config file and give it a go.  Hopefully that will do the trick.  I will keep you posted regardless Smiley

9:15 PM Sep 11/2016:

Used the nodes from the suggested page, i added those to the ones i had.  When i rebooted the wallet it still showed 0 connections.  After a whie it showed 3 connections, then went back down to 1 single connection, then that one was also lost.  I tried it in 3 different computers and OS and in 2 different ISP... i think there is an issue somewhere and not necesarily me, the rest of my wallets in the afore mentioned computers are working fine.  I wonder if someone else is suffering this...  Thanx anyways. i will keep coming to see if someone has some answers and/or post updates about this.

So this is in simple terms what happened.  The wallet.dat file became corrupted and im asuming thats why the network kept kicking me and/or i as in my own mini fork....  I used repairwallet and got some coins back that where kinda in limbo, not confirmed not arrived, not spendable.  Eventually i was able to extract the coins using several wd, after using an older backupfile my coins were again under my control and in Cryptopia.  I deleted the wallet.dat and restarted the wallet.  It opened up and is got more connections than ever.  The addy changed, i deposited the coins back into it and its running smooth.  Im glad i had that backup.  I read in a TEK thread that those corruption issues may ocurr due to hardware of power failures.  RAM was also suggested.  i will keep an eye on the machine to see how it develops.  THX a lot for your support and efforts.

Sorry to here about your issue. What you should do is the following:

1. Wipe everything in your 808 folder where your wallet.dat is. Dont wipe your wallet.dat file
2. Create a 808.conf file with the the detail below in
3. Run wallet again and let it sync up. If you still have issues I will update the snapshot file
4. 808 staking configuration is interesting and entertaining and is working great. There are no issues in general so it must be something on your side.

I have updated the blockchain snapshot to block 49321

Link to blockchain.tar.gz
Link to checksums.txt
Link to 808.conf file (remember to replace the password)

Instructions:

From scratch
1. Put your 808.conf file, wallet.dat in your user\appdata\roaming\808 folder
2. Download the blockchain.tar.gz file and also place it in the folder
3. Extract the blockchain.tar.gz file with a program like winrar and extract the two files blk0001.dat and blkindex.dat in the folder
4. Verify the checksums of the files to the checksums.txt file (optional)
5. Run the wallet and you will be instantly up to date to block 49321

From a previous installation
1. Open your wallet and in settings select detach databases at shutdown and then close the wallet
2. Replace the two files as per above and you will be up to date

I really hope so since I like the idea of this coin and even the name is quite cool. Better then these generic altcoins appearing all over the show.
